Also I feel like I should note the school system is totally based on the south African school system bc that's what I know. Still set in an indeterminate country but like honestly vm resembling SA bc it just makes my life easier and is closer to the source material (ie my sister and her friends) (jk very heavily based on my sister in terms of actions bc there's 11 days difference btwn them and personality wise they are so similar you don't understand guess what's rl inspired and what's made up lmao)
