Two years ago…
Kyuhyun was parking the car in the lot at Donghae and Eunhyuk’s apartment when he saw the iest little thing walk out the door, looking down at his cellphone, texting someone. He was the hottest guy Kyuhyun had ever laid eyes on and he quickly jumped out of his car and watched the man walk over to his car, shoving his phone into his back pocket, and digging out his keys. He got in and drove away before Kyuhyun could even think of walking over, introducing himself, and asking him out. His heart was beating hard as he walked into the building and he could smell the man’s scent still lingering in the air. Omega. No wonder he looked so petite and y.
The smell seemed to follow him up the stairs as he made his way to the third floor and down the hall to the apartment. Kyuhyun knocked on the door, greedily inhaling the scent. Could the y omega be one of Eunhyuk and Donghae’s neighbors? He couldn’t remember them ever mentioning having such a neighbor.
Donghae swung the door open and ushered Kyuhyun in. Kyuhyun walked in and froze halfway through the living room, utterly confused. The room seemed saturated with the smell of the same omega.
“Is something wrong?” Donghae asked, looking over at him with concern.
“Did you just have someone over?” Kyuhyun asked, inhaling more of the intoxicating smell. For some reason, this omega’s smell seemed so strong and attractive and…oddly familiar.
“Wookie just left.”
Ryeowook. Donghae’s friend from school. It all started to make sense. He had smelled this scent before. “When?”
“Just now! You might have even passed him on your way in,” Donghae informed him, waving at the door. “But I suppose you don’t know what he looks like.”
Kyuhyun shook his head. “Do you have a picture?”
Donghae nodded, pulling out his phone. He scrolled through countless pictures, no doubt of he and Eunhyuk—or Cocoa—and then finally stopped at one and held the phone out for Kyuhyun to take. Kyuhyun took the phone and looked at the picture. It was of the same person he’d just seen leaving.
“! Eunhyuk told me he was y, but I thought he was just saying that so I’d agree to go on a blind date with him,” the alpha admitted.
“He did say that so you’d go out on a date with Wook, but it also happens to be true. Have you changed your mind about the date?”
Kyuhyun nodded, although now he began to worry if the omega would take any interest in him. He’d never meet someone so attractive in his life, although he had it on good authority by many women that both his friends were rather good looking and watching them dance made women even more hot over them, but he’d never found his old roommate or Eunhyuk’s human lover anywhere near as attractive as the omega he’d just laid eyes on for the first time.
“You should have told me,” Kyuhyun said. “You should have known I wouldn’t believe Hyuk.”
Donghae just smiled, in the middle of texting.
“You’re not texting him now, are you?” Kyuhyun nervously asked.
“I am.”
“What? What if he comes back here?” Kyuhyun asked, starting to pace the room. “I didn’t even do my hair or anything because I was just coming over to play video games with you!”
“Relax, he ha
