Miss #1

Three years ago…

            After college graduation, Eunhyuk and Donghae decided to move in together.  The pack wasn’t very happy about it.  Although Eunhyuk was a beta and wasn’t expected to mate with anyone specific in the hopes of producing pups, like alphas and omegas were, he was romantically involved with a human.  And although wolves were starting to mix with humans in the world, it was still a little frowned upon to mate with a human.  They hadn’t officially mated yet.  Donghae refused to unless Eunhyuk also agreed to getting married, which made Eunhyuk mad.  The human equivalent of mating wasn’t nearly as passionate or enduring as the wolves’ version, at least according to the wolves.  Mating was forever.  Marriage sure as hell wasn’t.  People divorced all the time.

            Kyuhyun was honestly sick of listening to Eunhyuk complain about it.  He had a significant other.  Meanwhile, the alpha was still looking for his mate.  Although he certainly wasn’t lonely.  He had plenty of omegas to date and went out on a regular basis, but the one seemed to elude him.

            “I heard you broke up with your boyfriend,” Eunhyuk started in on him, the moment he walked into the couple’s apartment. 

            “You heard about that already?” Kyuhyun grumbled, slipping off his jacket.

            “Yeah, Siwon text me.”

            “Of course he did,” the alpha mumbled, following Eunhyuk into the kitchen. 

            “Want something to drink?  It’s a little early for wine.  Want some coffee or soda?”

            “I’ll take a coke, if you have one,” Kyuhyun said, stopping suddenly in the middle of the kitchen and sniffing.  Something se
