“So, what color do you think will suit me, appa?” Seokhwee smiles as he presses the red suit and blue suit on his chest for his father to see. Jungmin scoffs at the side and Mingyu does his best not to give any kind of reaction towards his second-oldest.
Mingyu chuckles as he walks toward Seokhwee with Haru clinging tightly onto his legs, never wanting to let go. Of course, Mingyu wouldn’t dare shoo away his youngest because of the brightest smile that was shown to him. He swears Haru’s smile could rival the sun. He reaches out to point not at the suits that Seokhwee was holding but towards the white long sleeve. “That fits you more, I believe.” He says genuinely.
“A white long sleeve? That’s too simple for hyung, appa.” Jungmin opposes and shakes his head before he turns his attention back to his phone. “Go with red, hyung.”
But Seokhwee does the opposite as his brother. He hangs back the two suits on the rack and takes the white long sleeve that Mingyu recommended. "I'll try this one~!” he says happily before disappearing in the dressing room. Haru follows with interest, finally unlatching himself from Mingyu’s leg.
Mingyu turns to Jungmin with a small smile on his face. He was really trying his best to make ends meet with his second son. He was the only who still has bitter feelings toward him amongst the three. “Jungmin, what color do you want?” he asks in the nicest tone he could.
“A black crisp suit would be nice.” He replies to his father yet his attention was still on his phone, playing god knows what. His father smiles after getting an answer but then was caught off guard when Jungmin spoke again. “Something that fits your funeral.” With that, he finally looks up at Mingyu with a challenging smile on his face. He knows very well that his father won’t ever lay a finger on him nor raise his voice but he finds fun testing the waters.
Mingyu’s hand that was reached out to one of the suits started to shake slightly. He could feel blood rush up his head and cold run down his spine. They both know it very well. He wouldn’t dare stand up for himself. “Jungmin…” he looks at his son with a crooked smile but Jungmin’s eyes were back again on his phone. “…you should wear navy blue. It will surely fit. You like blue, right?”
“Unsure of my favorite color, Appa?” Jungmin looks up again at his father with a smirk.
Mingyu was about to say something but Seokhwee suddenly comes out of the dressing room, wearing the white long sleeve looking dashingly handsome with a cute Haru in his arms. “Haru’s hungry, appa.” He gives Haru for Mingyu to carry as the youngest makes grabby hands towards his father.
Jungmin snickers from the side. “Appa, you know what to feed Haru, right?”
“Let’s go eat out, Haru? Hm? I’ll buy you lots of soymilk, okay~?” Mingyu avoids Jungmin’s question and gives most of his attention to Haru with a troubled look on his face but he tried his best to show happiness towards Haru. He turns to Seokhwee and hands him his card. “It looks good on you son. Let Jungmin take his pick and pay with the card. I’ll just walk around with Haru to the supermarket and buy soymilk for him.” He says almost as if he was rapping before leaving the place.
Seokhwee was quick to lunge on Jungmin after Mingyu was out of there. “Are you insane!?” he half whispers, half screams towards the younger with anger written all over his face. “Why do you always bring that up?”
“What? Aren’t you enjoyin
