Diamond High
♡Love Rush!♡ [WE'RE BACK]Oh god, why did I agree to this? This is such a bad idea oh god…Joshua thought, entering the gates of the prestigious Diamond High. He tried to remain calm as he wandered the foreign hallways for what felt like days. I don’t even know where I’m going! he thought, panic starting to settle in as hordes of students started crowding the hallways. He vaguely picked up on the words ‘host club’ from a group of girls and decided to follow them since he had nothing to lose.
The school was massive, maybe—maybe—even bigger than Shining High. He tried to remain discreet as he silently ghosted the group of girls, eventually landing in front of a room with the words “HOST CLUB” fancily written on the door. The girls excitedly burst in but Joshua hung back, nervous. He stood in front of the door stupidly for a while, raising his hand as if to knock (which he knew he didn’t have to do, since the girls had easily barged in), and then lowering it and placing his hand on the door handle, and then removing his hand and backing away from the room, then going back and standing in front of the door again. He finally crumpled in a heap onto the floor in front of the door, looking like a damsel in distress.
A certain male by the name of Jeonghan, meanwhile, was watching this particular girl with an amused interest. She seemed extremely perplexed for some reason, looking like she was about to knock on the club door and then stopping, finally giving up and stooping on the ground in despair. It was definitely a change in pace, to say the least. He walked up behind her, resisting the urge to laugh at the way she was rocking her body back and forth in confusion.
“We’re not that scary, you know,” he said, coming up behind this now terrified girl. Her eyes widened and she jumped up like a cat while spinning around to face Jeonghan, causing her to bang up against the door behind her. She actually hissed like a cat as well at the sudden wave of pain from the impact, making Jeonghan finally release the laugh he’d held back at the sheer absurdity of her reaction. “Maybe try not to be so out of it, hm?”
“S-sorry—” the cutie stammered, her eyes looking anywhere but at Jeonghan. She started to try moving around him, but Jeonghan decided he wanted to mess with her a bit and kept sidestepping her to block her path. The girl looked up at him, flustered, with a hint of annoyance, and finally—
“Oy, why’re you here exactly anyway?” he asked. The girl flushed and bit her lip.
“I-the host club-I-um…”
Jeonghan raised an eyebrow. “You wanna go in? Then let’s do that,” and without another word he grabbed the girl’s (awfully soft) hands and pulled her into the room.
Joshua, on the other hand, had not been expecting this. At all.
Now, Shining High is rich. Really, really rich. Their host club was gorgeous and nicely set up.
But this. This was on a whole other level.
The room was decked out completely, top to the bottom. The light fixtures were stunning, 6-tiered chandeliers that sparkled beautifully. The ground was smooth marble that reflected the glittering light from the chandeliers, making the entire room dazzle. The furniture shined bright enough to be light sources themselves, and the decorations gave the room a regal feeling. The huge, cascading windows added to the ambiance and the gentle music in the background set the mood nicely. It was like one of those old Victorian ballrooms come to life. All that was missing were white doves and forest creatures and it could've been the stage for Cinderella. In fact, Joshua could’ve sworn he saw cherry blossom petals float through the windows as Jeonghan turned to him proudly.
He’s so handsome, Joshua thought suddenly and immediately pushed the thought to the back of his head, embarrassed.
“What do you think? Not bad, huh?” Jeonghan asked, grinning.
Joshua’s mouth had unconsciously dropped open while ogling at Jeonghan and the room, his lips parted in an 'o’ shape that made Jeonghan burst out laughing.
“Yeah I know, it is pretty sweet. Surprised you’ve never been here, though, cuz basically every female in the school has.”
Joshua simply remained in a state of disillusionment as he finished taking in the whole scene.
Jeonghan smiled. “Okay, kittycat, tell me your name.”
Joshua finally snapped back into reality. “Uh—what?”
“I’m Yoon Jeonghan. Though you probably already knew that, since I’m so famous and all. Anyway, back to you. Your name?”
Sadly, Joshu
