I'll Kill Him With My Own Hands
The Problematic LeesEveryone likes a little rain on the cold spring days. We all fancy the feeling that comes from rain and the atmosphere is just so relaxing.
Expect, Mark wasn’t relaxed at a time like this. In fact, she was more tense than ever.
“And then,” Mark whispered when Taeyong handed her the warm hot chocolate. “He told me to take an umbrella before I go outside and guess what?”
Taeyong sat beside her daughter that was huddled up in a warm pink blanket on the sofa, drinking her hot chocolate. “You didn’t?” Mark’s mother answered.
Mark nodded. “Like which guy fights with their lover and then reminds them to take an umbrella!?” Her voice became louder as she ranted on about Jeno.
“And Markie, would you like to remind me why you left Jeno in the middle of an argument?” Taeyong questioned with a sad look on her face. She was never alone for at least a week. One day in the week Jeno or Mark would end up at her door with a complaint about the other. As much as she loved company, she hated seeing her two babies fight.
Mark let out a dramatic sigh. “Because mama, he ate the last piece of the pie, when both of us agreed that we’d split it. He ate it all by himself! Can you believe him?!”
Taeyong nodded. She took out her phone from her right pocket and opened her contacts.
Mark, who was very curious, asked her mother what she was doing. “Mama, what are you doing?”
Taeyong smiled at her daughter before pressing Jeno’s contact number. “I’m calling Jeno, so the two of you can make peace again.”
Mark looked offended, “No!” She crossed her arms together. “You can’t call that jerk back. I can’t even believe you let me marry me. You should have told me not to marry him!”
“Hello?”
Taeyong quickly covered Mark’s mouth to make sure Jeno wouldn’t hear Mark calling him a jerk. “Jeno honey,” Taeyong quickly spoke.
“Oh mama, it’s you.”
Taeyong smiled but pushed Mark’s hand away when she tried stealing the phone from her. “Jeno honey, could you maybe come here? Mark’s apparently mad at you.”
Mark successfully got Taeyong’s hand off . “I’m not apparently mad at him, I’m so angry at that jerk! So angry that I could kill him with my own hands!”
Taeyong gasped, “Mark honey, don’t say that. It’s rude.”
Jeno let out a chuckle from the other side. “Sure, I’m coming. Bye Mama.”
“Goodbye sweetie.” Taeyong told Jeno before she finally turned the phone off. She turned to look at Mark who had a pout on her face as she glared at Taeyong.
“Mama, why’d you do that?” She spoke in an adorable angry way.
Taeyong smiled at her daughter and placed her warm hand on Mark’s cold cheek. “Because Mark, it’s better if you and Jeno actually make up. Trust me, you should never stay mad at someone for useless reasons. I know you think it’s super important that he ate the last piece of pie, but tell me, was the piece more important than Jeno? Was it really worth more than Jeno’s love? We can lose people really fast Mark, and I just don’t believe that you should be angry at him for a small reason.” Taeyong smiled even wider, “understand?”
Mark looked down at her lap and nodded. “I understand.” She held Taeyong’s hand in her, “I’ll apologize when he comes then.”
Taeyong nodded, “Perfect. Now why don’t we watch some tv?”
20 minutes passed and the doorbell rang. Taeyong was about to get up to get the door when Mark grabbed onto her hand and stopped her. “I’ll go. I’d like to talk to Jeno.”
Taeyong nodded and let her daughter go answer the door while she continued watching the drama.
