Don't Leave me

My Pov

“Hmmmm. Where should I sit?”

I had entered my classroom, 1st Year Room 3. (1-3)

The class was separated into many groups, each having their own group of friends from middle school.

I looked around trying to find an empty seat.

“There!”

I walked towards a desk in the upper right corner by the window. No one was there and all the desks near it were empty as well.

Taking out my fried egg pencil case and Coca Cola flavored eraser, I made myself comfortable.

“Hmmmmm.. Just friends now, I just need a friend... “ I murmured to myself with determination.

Scanning the room, I searched for someone who was also sitting alone. To my dismay, everybody was in their own little group, catching up after a summer of not seeing each other.

No one even spared a glance, and I began to hate myself for it.

I was about to give up when my eyes landed upon a pretty girl who was sitting quietly by herself. She looked fairly approachable and kind. She was barely wearing any makeup as well.

I stood up to go to talk to her.

As I drew closer to her desk, I spoke out.

“Hey! You wan - “

“Wendy!” A girl cried out from the classroom door.

The girl sitting down turned her head to the door, her face lighting up.

“Amber! I missed ya!” Wendy replies while giving Amber a hug.

“Come with me to the bathroom,” Amber asks.

“Gosh fine,” Wendy said, pouting. It quickly turned into a large grin. “I can’t wait to see everyone else” Wendy squealed excitedly.

Walking arm-in-arm, they exited the classroom, their voices echoing in the hall.

Shocked, I stared at them, frozen in place. Not uttering a single word, I scolded myself for missing my chance to obtain new friends.

“Well that just happened… Better luck next time I guess…”

I went back to my seat, disappointed.

“It will get better, it will get better…” I constantly repeated to myself.

I could only hope it would get better. But I knew the truth. Taking action was a lot harder than flimsy words.

Sighing, I crossed my arms against my desk and leaned down. “Why Why why is it so hard to make friends?”

After a while, I began to feel tired. My eyes felt droopy and my mind was slowly going blank. I closed my eyes, ready to take a nap.

Thump. Something had touched my elbow abruptly. The presence of someone staring at me could not be ignored. I immediately awakened to see what had happened. A large box of chocolates and a chocolate rose was placed on my desk. The rose was white, custom made white chocolate. My favorite.

I looked up and saw the Rose Princes.

Standing in the front was Taehyung, his bright, mischievous eyes looking at me. Behind him were Jin and Jhope, posing like bodyguards with arms crossed and unreadable expressions.

Picking up the chocolates and rose off my desk, Taehyung stuck them out towards me, gesturing for me to grab them. “Take these.” He said, placing them in my hands.

“Uhhh… Thank you…” I replied awkwardly,  taking the box and the white rose.

“What are these for?” I asked him. Was this some sort of tradition that they did for new students?

“You’ll see” he smirked while moving back. “We gonna sit here alright?”

“Wait what?” I asked, staring at him blankly. Was I hearing things? The 3 most popular guys at this school wanting to sit with me? The new girl who hadn't even been here for an hour?

Tilting his head to the side, Taehyung gave me an amused look. “You heard me. We gonna sit here alright?”

Taehyung took the seat next to me while Jin took the seat in front of me. J Hope took the seat in front of Taehyung and the seat next to Jin.

“Ok then…”

Leaning against the table, I buried my face in my arms. I couldn’t help but feel extremely happy. For the first time in my life I felt important. Just the thought of sitting next to the Rose Princes made my cheeks red again.

“So…” I questioned.

“Hmm?” Taehyung turned his head towards me, surprised by my attempt at trying to be friendly.

Immediately the class that was separated in their own cliches had become two giant groups. In a matter of seconds, all the girls had surrounded the Rose Princes. I was given death glares, glares that gave me chills.

They started sitting on my desk and pushing me out. I couldn’t stand the absurdity of it all and eventually just left my seat. Disgusted by their rude behavior, I chose to wander the room.

“Hmmmm I wonder what I should do now…” clearly offended by the situation. The irritation in my voice could be heard from miles away.

The idea of being friends with the Rose princes was slowly falling apart.

“Why does he have to be so popular… I guess we really aren’t meant to be friends. They seem soooo… far away…” (Hahaha get it? Suga’s mixtape August D - So far away. Ahahaha.. Sorry..)

I mean they were so popular. They could choose any girl in the world to be friends with. Why would it be me? I stood there confused, conflicted, and angry.

Meanwhile, the boys in the other corner of the room had their eyes fixated on one place.

“Dudeeee ~~ She’s gorgeous!” One boy whispered, nudging his friend.

“She looks so cold but so charming.” His friend replied, leaning back in his chair, nodding in agreement.

“She could count as a celebrity!” A boy whistled in admiration.

The guys continued to chat while staring at me as I walked around the room. They didn’t stop praising my beauty and blushing red cheeks. I was too deep in thought to notice a thing.

Suddenly a voice shouted loud enough for me to hear. “Pretty girl! Come join us!”

That woke me up completely. I stared at them in confusion wondering if they were talking to me. I stared behind me to see no one.

“You girl! The girl that keeps looking back!”

I came back to my senses. “Oh. Me?!”

“Yes you. You're the only pretty one here.” The boy chuckled while urging me over.

Although I was flattered, I couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable. I had never seen so many guys look at me at once.

Trying to find an escape route out of the classroom, I found myself quickly surrounded by all the guys in the classroom besides the Princes. They regarded me with curiosity and started bombarding me with questions. Some were about my life and others were very specific.

“Are you new?” a tall guy asked, leaning towards me.

“Where you from?”

“You have a boyfriend yet?” a red haired boy questioned, his eyes hopeful.

“What’s your ideal type?”

Feeling extremely flustered, I felt very hesitant to answer such questions.

“Um….” I said, trying to find my way around them to escape. .

“Awwww How cute! She’s shy!” A boy said, smiling as though I was the cutest thing he’d ever seen. It kind of freaked me out to be honest. I needed to get out of this situation quickly.

“Nooo She just thinks you're annoying! She’s trying not to hurt your feeling.” the tall boy said angrily, his eyes flashing with annoyance.

“What you say?” The red haired boy shouted, his eyes narrowing into two angry slits. “Why would she be annoyed at me? You’re the one who’s asking most of the questions.”

After that comment, things began to get out of hand. Fuming, the tall boy walked towards the red head, towering over him with a menacing look. Then, out of nowhere, his fist collided with the red head’s face, creating a loud cracking sound that echoed in the classroom. Immediately, the entire class fell silent, watching the two boys. I stared at them in disbelief. I could only watch their feud in silence and shock. Why were they even fighting over me?

Wincing, the red haired boy put a hand to his hit cheek. “Why are you acting like she’s your girlfriend?” he lashed out, his brown eyes blazing. “She’s not yours yet!”

Cracking his knuckles, the tall boy scoffed, a smirk tugging at his lips. “Well, she’s not yours either!”

I stood there speechless, confused as to why they were making such a big fuss.

As they continued to wrestle and argue with each other, I watched them, thinking about how much I just really wanted to hide in a corner and disappear.

“She’s mine!”

“No! She’s mine!”

“Prove it!”

“You prove it!”

At this point, I was done. Just so done. I needed some peace and quiet. I had come here to get away from arguments, not to hear more of them, especially over me.

“Um let’s just sto--” I spoke out trying to solve the issue at hand.

Before I could finish, I was interrupted by another tall boy in front of me.

“Hey!” he yelled, his voice loud and clear. Surprised, the two boys stopped bickering to look up at him. “ How about you let her decide?”

I stood there with my mouth open.

“Me? …” I said meekly, pointing at myself.

Chuckling, the guy shook his head. “Who else would I be talking to then?”

“Oh…” I replied, feeling my cheeks heat up even more than I thought they could. Can I just disappear right now?

Both of the guys faces lit up as soon as they heard that. “Yeah! You decide!” They both exclaimed, scrambling over each other to get to me.

“Who do you choose? Me or him?” they said, pointing fingers at each other.

Not knowing what to say or do, I stood there awkwardly. “Uhhhhhh. Uhhhhh.”

Obviously, I didn’t really like either of them. Their pointless fight a minute ago wasn’t giving them any positive points either. .

“Uhhhhh….” I continued to say, trying to stall and find a way out of this situation.

“Awww, you’re just shy!” the tall boy said, sliding up to me. “ I know that in the inside you’ve already picked me right?”

Raising his arm, he started to put it around my shoulder.
“Choose m-” He was cut off by a loud slap.

Mad, the tall boy took his arm away. He glared at the guy behind me with hatred in his eyes and snarled. “Owww! Why’d you do that!”

Instead, I felt someone else’s arm around my shoulder.

Turning my head to the side, my heart almost jumped out of my chest when I saw the person. The owner of the arm around my shoulder was none other than the the Blue Rose Kim Taehyung.

Now instead of just red, my cheeks now included a shade of bright pink.

“Hey Hey! She wouldn’t choose you guys because she’s not yours!” He smirked.

I could feel his body heat. My heart pounding like crazy as I struggled to calm down.

“Oh hi Tae…” I whispered.

“Hello.” He laughed as he gave me his giant box smile.

I felt relief in the inside. The feeling of happiness that couldn’t be expressed in words. I slowly let my guard down, knowing I was in safe hands. Then I began to question myself. Wait why was I feeling relief again?

To my disappointment he took his arm off my shoulder. Immediately he grabbed both guys by the collar and came close to them.

When he was in ear length he whispered fiercely.

”She’s mine” he growled in his deep voice before letting go.

I couldn’t hear him, but whatever he said had scared the guys to death.

Both guys retreated in anger and looked at Taehyung with hate and resentment.

“Well let’s go __!” Kim Taehyung exclaimed while grabbing my small hands in his.

I looked down and realized we were entwining fingers. His hands were so big and beautiful. I couldn’t stop looking at them. He quickly led me to the front of the classroom.

His palm was warm and my hand began sweat.

He took me to where Jin and Jhope were standing. They smirked at him after seeing everything happen.

“What a FIRE you made.” Jhope smiled.

“Pretty bold of you. Maybe even more than me” Jin laughed.

They seemed pretty proud of their best friend.

“Well it’s time isn’t it?” Jhope replied.

“Yep!” Taehyung smiled.

I was too bothered by Taehyung’s hand to hear anything else. I really hoped he wasn’t looking at me with my pink cheeks and all.

“Attention Attention!” Jin and Jhope shouted.

Everyone turned.

“So I know you guys know us as the Rose Princes.” Kim Taehyung began.

The girls squealed and the guys began to shake their heads in disgust.

“I am really thankful for it all. But the time has come to welcome a new rose.”

Everyone gasped. Girls began fainting left and right. The boys whispered amongst each other.

“We welcome the new rose today. Our first rose princess. White Rose __”. He shouted.

He turned towards me expecting me to give out a speech.

“Uhhh… What?”

I was in utter shock.

“Me?!” A Rose Princess?! No way.”

I rushed out of the classroom, my mind a complete mess.

“Me?! Me? Me…” I continued to repeat.

My dreams of living a peaceful high school life with friends, now shattered.

V Pov

I saw __ at her desk and quickly rushed over. I stood in front of her desk after placing a box of chocolates and a custom made white rose on her desk.

She seemed pretty confused and her cheeks blushed pink.

“Cute…” I whispered.

Not wanting anyone to take the desk next to her, I quickly took the seat. Relief and happiness washed over me.

Honestly I didn’t even know why I was feeling this way. All i knew was that something about her was different. There was a pounding in my chest whenever I saw her and I hoped it wouldn’t show.

“So….” She asked.

I was about to answer her when I was rudely interrupted by my fangirls. They rushed towards my desk and handed me gifts. They just had to bother me now.

I could see her being pushed away. I tried to go up to her but my fangirls blocked me. I put up a fake smile in front of them not really paying attention to all the remarks of my good looks. Instead, I was watching __”s every move.

Soon I could see her wandering the room. She looked to be deep in thought.

“Cute…” I smiled.

I knew that from the very beginning this girl was different. She didn’t come up to me like the other girls did and there didn’t seem to be any ulterior motive atmosphere coming from her. I just wanted to embrace her in my arms. I couldn’t confirm completely that it was love but maybe friendship.

She just continued to wander as I stared at her. I bent my head down, my cheeks hurting from smiling.

I looked up again to watch her. This time she was surrounded by guys. In front of here was two guys fighting. I began to feel pissed off. I only watched in silence as the whole thing happened. Until one guy reached his arm around her and that really did it.

I got up abruptly and pushed the fangirls away. I arrived at the group of boys just in time to slap his arm away. I smoothly put my arm around her.

“Hey Hey! She wouldn’t choose you guys because she’s not yours!” I smirked.

She definitely wasn’t fit to be with any of the two. She was where she belonged, right in my arms.

“Oh hi Tae…” She whispered.

“Hello.” I gave her my giant box smile.

I took off my arms around her and grabbed both of the guys by the collar. I could see her disappointed look and couldn’t help but feel happy.

“She’s mine.” I growled in their ears.

They both look terrified and scared. I think one of them even peed in their pants.

“Well let’s go __!”

I led her to the front of the classroom. She blushed as I held her hand. I couldn’t help but grin really big, my facial expression losing all composure.

“She’s mine” I whispered to myself.

“Hmm?” She asked me with a curious look.

Gahh that look had ruined me. I just really wanted to pinch her cheeks. I couldn’t quite understand the feeling, but I hated it when the guy tried to put his arm around hers. She was mine and mine alone.

After arriving at the front of the classroom I made a speech.

“So I know you guys know us as the Rose Princes.” I began.

The girls squealed and the guys began to shake their head in disgust.

“I am really thankful for it all. But the time has come to welcome a new rose.”

Everyone gasped. Girls began fainting left and right. The boys whispered amongst each other.

“We welcome the new rose today. Our first rose princess. White Rose __”. He shouted.

Now I could keep her in my grasp. I had to understand what type of feelings I had for her.
