Welcome to our table
XOXO | KaiSooThe next day Jongin was in much better mood; he had successfully made it up with Kyungsoo. He didn’t think badly of him anymore - at least that was what he thought - and hopefully the new student wouldn’t be scared to be sitting with them at lunch. Jongin may not be the brightest student, but he wasn’t stupid; it was obvious Kyungsoo had been avoiding him since he yelled at him, but he didn’t judge him. He’d probably do the same if their positions were switched.
“I didn’t know you liked being in the library after school,” Sehun suddenly whispered to Jongin in class.
He was so caught off guard he nearly gasped loudly, but managed to keep it to himself as he stared at the other. “What?” he asked stupidly.
“Don’t be stupid mate,” Sehun said as he rolled his eyes, “I saw you at the school library yesterday, but what really surprised me was whom you were with,” he smirked, just like Luhan.
“Well, yeah, I apologised for my behaviour,” Jongin said as he tried to play it off coolly, but he couldn’t control his flaming cheeks.
“Oh, is that blushing I see?” Sehun teased as he poked him on the cheeks, worsening it.
“Stop it, please,” Jongin begged, hiding his face in his arms on his desk.
“Admit it,” Sehun whispered to his ear, “you fancy him.”
Jongin saw up straight, trying to pretend he didn’t blush anymore as he stared his friend right in the eyes. “I don’t fancy him. I just pity him, and I felt bad. I’ve also noticed he doesn’t speak, so I was curious, and so I approached him,” he explained, trying this best to stay calm.
Sehun raised an eyebrow at him. “Oh? You sure about that? I’m sure you were curious of his looks as well as you kept stealing glances of him after you stopped talking.”
Jongin held his breath. Why did he see everything, he thought to himself, I’m so done. “Okay, fine, I admit it. I might fancy him a little, but it’s nothing. Like I said, I was curious of him,” he admitted, madly blushing again.
“Oh no, you’re still curious of him, I know,” he grinned, “don’t worry, I got your back. I’ll tell the others and we’ll be your wingman. We’ll get you two together in no time.”
Jongin felt a sudden panic in his chest. “No no no no,” he repeated like the other didn’t hear any of them, “please don’t tell the others. It’d just be awkward. Please,” he begged, “if I want to change anything, let me do that. Don’t do anything for me unless I ask for it. Please.”
After what felt like forever for Jongin trying to convince Sehun that he didn’t need any wingmen, he finally agreed. “But I’m gonna tell Luhan. We don’t keep secrets.”
Jongin nodded. That’d be the best he’d get, so Luhan knowing wouldn’t be too bad, although he’d be too obvious about it and try to help him every time he’d get the chance.
Sehun left first for lunch, probably trying to find Luhan as fast as possible to tell him about Jongin’s little ‘crush’.
Jongin took his time and spend a lot of time gazing at the food, but decided what to get after a while so he’d have time to finish up his meal before next class would start again.
