A clean shot
XOXO | KaiSooHello, so I wanted to start this KaiSoo fanfiction. I ship KaiSoo a lot and it was my second OTP after ChanBaek/BaekYeol. This story was originally going to be a long one-shot, but I decided I wanted to make it a longer story and devide it into chapters. I hope you'll like this story, and don't forget to vote & comment~ xx
The basketball shoes were making squeaking sounds; the floor was covered in sweat by the players, and then met with the rubber shoes. Everyone was panting heavily.
The ball bounced on the floor, then flied between the hands. The room was covered by cheers and yelling from the audience and the players.
“Get the ball! Get the ball!” was repeated in the crowd.
Jongin managed to steal the ball.
His teammates were helping him by blocking the opposite team. He ran towards their goal, and made a clean shot.
The time was up, and the audience stood up, cheering. They glanced at the points; luckily Jongin’s last goal was a two pointers, making their team win at the last second.
Jongin was pulled up in the air by his teammates, and they all cheered for him.
“Go Kim Jongin! Go Kim Jongin” they repeated whilst carrying him around the court. The opposite team congratulated them, and then they all changed in the locker room.
“Good game,” they said to each other before meeting up with their friends, girlfriends, or family. Jongin was going to meet his parents who watched. His father also played basketball in his schooldays, and was even teaching professionals as a coach. Naturally he’d want his son to become a professional player, which he constantly nagged him about, whilst his mother nagged on his studies. They never agreed when it came to Jongin’s future. They never even asked Jongin himself about his opinion, which made him mad thinking about. He didn’t remember last time they asked about his opinion of anything.
“Good job son. You earned that win,” Mr Kim complimented him. He smiled whilst nodding, and Mrs Kim held his hand.
“You looked happy out there. I’m proud of you, whatever you decide,” she said whilst squeezing his hand softly. He kissed her on her cheek, and they headed home afterwards.
Jongin hated English class. He was still sleepy from the game the day after, and he almost fell asleep during the lecture.
“Get it together Jongin,” his friend, Oh Sehun, said as he nudged him. Jongin and Sehun were classmates and sat beside each other in almost every class. They sat all the way back to get less attention from the teachers.
“I’m too tired,” Jongin whined in response and rested his eyes as he leaned against the wall behind him whilst tilting his chair.
“You better not get caught. We have practice later.” Jongin rolled his eyes at his friend and at his worry. He was about to drift off again until he heard the teacher suddenly spoke up, which made him snap out of his sleepy world.
“Alright, you’ve been great at self studying, therefore I’ll give you some free time before the class is over.” Every student in the class cheered as they closed their books. Jongin smirked, as the teacher couldn’t scold him for sleeping in the class at the moment.
At the end of the school day, Jongin and his other teammates of the basketball club had practice. The basketball court had own building beside the school, and the doors around the buildings were always open for the students and passengers who walked by could
