Chaeyoung’s POV

i was walking outside the hospital after my shift was over , i found mina talking on the phone outside and her other hand is on her back like she is in pain, she hang up and blew air from

“if you keep blowing air like this people will fly away, what’s wrong?”

Mina glared at me and rolled her eyes

“HEOL! I just asked you what’s wrong!!”

“seojun is so sick and I can’t leave work.. tomorrow I might skip work to stay with him and they will cut it from my salary , the friend I live with is going overseas for 1 week” mina said and looked at the ground sadly .. she almost cried

“It’s okay , tell your friend that I am coming , I will take care of him”

“WHAT? No no !”

“what ? I am really good with kids don’t worry ! and don’t forget to give me his file ! and I will check on him soon ! “ I said

Mina couldn’t reply at all

“I am going ! bye mina” i said while walking backwards and went to my car while looking at her while smiling

I drove off and stopped at a toy store and bought some toys to him …

I know her house since I drove her off that day

I rang the bell and a girl opened the door for me , her cheeks were red and her hair is a bit messy.. she looked weird

“annyeonghasaeyo” she said and bowed

“annyeonghasaeyo” I replied and bowed

I came in and he was sitting on the floor , he is the cutest kid I saw , his eyes are like mina and he has a dimple on his right cheek , he was sitting on the floor watching TV and drinking yogurt so cutely and wearing penguin onesie , I smiled immediately  

“mina told me that you are coming , it’s really nice of you to come here” she said

I smiled at her and took off my shoes .. but the house was cold .. I think they are really poor .. there isn’t so much furniture and the couch is so old and patched …

I sat beside seojun on the floor not breaking the look at him

“he is shy and introverted just like his mom he won’t talk to you” she said … I wanted to punch her .. how could she say something like this in front of him ! and mina is a cute girl !

“no he is not , I am sure he will be more comfortable with me later , right seojun-ah?”  I said

“nae..” he said while looking at the tv

The girl rolled her eyes

“Miraaaan!” a guy ! yelled from the bedroom room ! and she went to it

“noona what’s your name?” seojun asked , his voice is so cute and he has few teeth

“chaeyoung”

“Are you mom’s friend?”

I nodded and gave him one of the toys I bought

He looked at it and didn’t take it

“I have to ask my mom first” he said .. isn’t he the cutest?

“it’s okay she allowed me “ I lied

He looked at it and took it , I bought him a colorful small train toy

I caressed his back and remembered that he has leukemia… while bad people are alive and having a healthy life , this innocent kid has to suffer … sad reality.

Then I heard a laugh from that room

“I sometimes hear screams also” he said ! … what are they doing in that room omg !

“and where you sleep with mom?” I asked .. he pointed at the couch then at the floor

“I sleep on the couch and mom at the floor” he replied ..

Poor her ,, the he I noticed that he is breathing hardly and coughing then his nose started to bleed  , I carried him and elt him lay on the couch while making sure to wipe the blood

Then the girl came out “oh bleeding again?” she said carelessly  

“how often he bleeds?” I asked not leaving the tissues on his nose

“once or twice a day , she is working day night to make money sheh ! like he could survives! She didn’t even paid for me this month!”

I sighed … she is getting on my nerve !!! , I helped him to sit and poor him he was pale and calm

“anyways ! I am traveling overseas with my boyfriend tomorrow ! she can have the whole house !”

I clenched my fist and got up “WHY ARE YOU SO RUDE AND MEAN?” I yelled

“me ? hah ! she better thanks god that I  let her stay here !”

I took a deep breath “YOU CAN HAVE THE WHOLE HOUSE !” I yelled while carrying seojun and I let him wear his jacket that was hanging near the door

“HAH! Finally ! tell her that she can come here and take her and her son’s stuff from here ! I want to come back and I don’t want to find anything related to her! “

I took a deep breath and slammed the door behind me , I putted him in the passenger seat

And drove off

“how could mina live with her!!!” I talked to myself
