Minjung POV

*This voice..* "Taehyung?" I called out and the figure turned around confirming my guess. His eyes held no other emotions other than pure anger, his eyebrows were furrowed and his fists were clenched as they trembled. But after he saw me he immediately ran over to me surprising me with a bone crushing hug. The hand that was around my waist tighten while the hand at the back of my head my hair. "Didn't I tell you to wait for me at the bench?"
"I heard a cry for help and I couldn't ignore it." He pulled back and his face was filled with concern as he asked me if I was okay, I told him I was fine and he started to drag me away. "Wait, what about them?" I asked pointing to the pair of siblings. "I've called the cops." Just then sirens could be heard *that must be the cops* We got stopped by the cops just as we were about to leave.

Taehyung POV

"Offi-" I quickly stopped Jerald, from Unit 2, from revealing my identity. He cleared his throat and started again "Sir, Ma'am. We need to take your statement and ask you a few questions."
"Sure" I heard Minjung answer from beside me. After all the statements and admin things were done it was already passed 5.30! Minjung and I were about to leave, again, when my phone rang *Gosh can't I have a peaceful day out with Minjung?!* I looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Jin hyung who called "Hyung" I greeted as I walked away from Minjung telling her I needed to take a call. "Date time is almost over, boss needs us back in the office." *How did he know I was dating? Aish it must be those 3! * "Isn't it our off day today?"

"Yes but all the other groups are out so that leaves us"
"Urgh, fine. What time do I need to be back?"
"Within the next 3 hours but I suggest you come back within the next hour, I heard you caught Taka right?" He didn't need to say more, I knew what he meant. I ended the call and walk back to where Minjung was waiting for me. "Was it the office who called? Did something happen?" She asked me, I guess she could tell from my facial expressions that the call had pissed me off a little. "Yea, I'm really sorry for the failed date. I promise I'll make it up to you soon."

"It’s okay, we can meet up anytime."
"Thank you for understanding" I drove her back to the bus stop where I had picked her up this morning, she still wouldn't let me send her to her doorstep. I held onto her hand just as she was about to exit my car. "About Saturday... it okay if you don't feel like coming. Don't be pressured by my friends and sorry about then ‘interrogating’ you earlier on I said bringing my hands up to the said of my face and wriggling my fingers to show her the invisible inverted commas."

"No worries, I could see that you are very close with them."
"Yea, they are like brothers to me"
"About Saturday, if you want me to tag along I could."
"Really? Then I'll pick you up?"
"I can just drive you know"
"I know but I like the idea of picking you up and sending you home"
"Crazy kid, okay then. I'll see you on Saturday!" She chuckled and looked down at her hand that was being held by me, after realizing that I hadn't let her go the both if us flushed red. I cleared my throat awkwardly and scratched the back of my neck sheepishly. "Sorry about that. I'll text you?" She nodded and hurriedly exited the car. After seeing her walk a distance I drove off heading to the office. I mentally thanked her for the date, even though it was a failed one. I could still feel her hand in mine, I couldn't stop the goofy smile plastered on my face. She is really an interesting girl who had long caught my attention and maybe even my heart.

-at the office-

"Get Taka into the interrogation room, I'll be there in 5." I told the prison warden and left to get some files. When I entered the interrogation room Taka was already seated on the other side of the table with both his hand cuffed to the sides of the chair. "How's your wound?" I asked, I'm mean he is still human even though he has committed countless number of crimes. "Why bother asking if I'm going to die eventually" I nodded my head "fair enough. Then I'll get straight to the point. Why are you doing all these? Who are you working for?"

"Does it really matter I'm dead both inside and out."
"Answer the questions"
"If you really want to know then I am not the person you should look for, I'm just a lackey. I obey orders not give orders."
"Then just tell me what you know"
“And why should I do that?”
“It will help lighten your sentence”
"What’s the point? But whatever. I don't know much, all I know is that something big is going down within the next few years. Something is happening in the underworld, I'm just doing my part in helping it become a reality. If you want answers I suggest you find this guy called 'J', I am pretty sure he knows more than I do." *'J'? Isn't he dead?* "Isn't 'J' a dead man? Are you trying to fool me?" I asked folding my arms. "How can he be, I just spoke with him over the phone this morning."

"Then how did you get injured?"
"I was dealing some weapons at the dock this morning, then out of nowhere a group of people jumped us and killed everyone there. The dealer and my people all dead, I was lucky to even escape but before I could one of the attackers cut me across the chest."
"Can you recognise the people who attacked you?" Taka shook his head and let out a sigh "They were wearing masks so I couldn't see their faces, and they are very skilled in fighting. I've heard of a group who matches all these traits, they are like shadows, you maybe able to see them but you’ll never be able to touch them. They normally work in the night so I was shocked that they showed up this morning. Sadly no one has ever seen their faces or knows who they are because if you do you'll be dead, even when making deals they are very careful to make sure there is no loop holes."

"Good to know, now we just have to wait for your judgement though you should know more or less what's it going to be" I packed up and left the room now walking back to the office where Bts, it’s a name we created for our group, and I share. "So lover boy, done with interrogating the suspect?" "Jin hyung please don't start this now" I whined as I slumped down into my chair. "Why? None of the guys are here yet so why don't you share some little juicy details?" Jin hyung prompted on as he took a seat beside me. "There is nothing to know, we just got to know each other"
"For how long had this been going on?"
"About a month? But we never really got to hang out though"
"Work?"
"No hyung"
"Calm your boy, don't use that tone on me sheesh" I rolled my eyes and went back to my computer doing some work while Jin hyung went back to his desk texting his girl. I was organising some files and thinking about what Taka had told me earlier. Firstly, if 'J' isn't dead then who was the one who got killed in California? Was he just a scapegoat or does he have a brother?

To be honest we have not seen 'J' face till we saw his dead face, in a picture, back in Vancouver. Secondly, who is this new gang? Or have they just been in hiding for quite some time so we couldn't figure out who they are? And to add on to my troubles my so called perfectly planned date with Minjung is ruined, not to mention I still don't know the reason as to why I am being called back on my freaking off day. I shut my eyes and took a little breather. At least I was going to see Minjung on Saturday again, that itself can already make my day so much better. As time passed the boys slowly piled in and I got ready for the interrogation for the century.

"Yah Kim Taehyung!" *here we go* I groaned. "Yes hyung? I replied looking to Rapmon hyung. "Tell us more about your new girl"
"Why should I?"
"Aww come on Tae talk to your brothers maybe we can help you proceed faster"
"I don't need your help on this, I can handle this. And it's Not like she likes me back or anything" "Okay firstly how would you know and secondly the way you phrase your sentence tells me that you have already fallen for her, yes?" I ignored the question and tried to walk away, unfortunately I got pulled back down the moment I stood up from my chair. "So tell us, what do you see in her?"
"Why are you guys so interested in my private life?"
 "Well because this is the first girl you took interest in, which we didn’t have to force you to meet up with, and like I said before your private life only revolves around us so when some new happens we are interested."
"Like I told Jin hyung we just met and I haven had much time to spend with her. I've only met her 2 times officially."
"Then what about those unofficial times?"
"I just bumped into her the other time when I went to my favourite cafe."
"She is coming on Saturday, isn't she?"
"Yea, why?"
"We should interrogate her then"
"Hyung please don't scare her away"
"Enough with questioning Tae, we got to go for a briefing" *Finally* I let out a sigh of relief and left for the meeting room.

Minjung POV

"I'm home" I said the moment I stepped into the house.

"Welcome back, you need to head out in an hour. There is rice in the kitchen if you are hungry" Aiden, the only one in the living room, told me. "Thanks, where are the rest?"
"Tyler is off somewhere doing God knows what, Jiyoon and Jackson are on a date, Yerin is sleeping in her room and Ethan said he has some family things to settle." I nodded and walked up the stairs back to my room. Since there wasn't much time left till the raid I thought I should just do a little research on my computer, half way through I guess fell asleep because I woke up to Jiyoon jumping on my bed shouting "Minjung wakey wakey" I groan and left to the bath room to wash my face. I contemplated on whether I should change into another outfit because I will be attending a party where I will kill Junghun, a person who backstabbed us, and I was currently wearing jeans with a tee shirt and jacket over it. "Minjung you have to wear a dress it's a classy party so you are definitely not going in T-shirt and jeans" a voice, Jackson, hollered from the living room.

I groaned and started to rummage through my closet to see what I kind of outfit I had that can match the party and be comfortable enough for me to fight in. In the end, I settled for a strapless midnight blue dress that went all the way down to my ankle, it has a long slit all the way down on the right side. Jewels adorn the upper half of the dress, not too much, just enough to make the dress look pretty. On the inside I wore safety pants, this is the best choice as I could still attach my gun to my thigh and if anything goes wrong I can just rip off the dress and I'll still have shorts underneath. My hair was let down and I had light make up on *perfect*. I arrived at the party earlier than expected so I roamed around the place for a while. My mission for tonight is to kill Junghun for betraying us. His brother is ‘J’, a guy we killed back in California, who messed with our rookie groups and now his younger brother has backstabbed us in a weapon deal ambushing our people. This is going to be an easy mission because it’s a masked ball and while everybody is having a good time drinking and dancing I will be hidden at will be in a room where I will have a full view of the ball, when the time is right all I have to do is to aim and fire. Mission complete.

Taehyung POV

“Hyung weapon check”

“I am good to go”

“Okay Tae you will be outside while the rest of us will be inside”

Our mission for tonight is to protect Junghun a heir of a big company and he is hosting a party for his shareholders tonight. Rumours say that there is someone is out to get him at the party so we have to be his bodyguards, the challenging part for tonight is that it is a masked ball so it makes things really difficult especially when we have to try to find out who the killer is and stop him or her. I stroll around the garden outside, kicking a few pebbles once in a while *this is so boring* /Bang/ my head shot up to see what was going on, and suddenly my earpiece crackled to life “What the hell is going on. Everybody check your surroundings.”

“The lights inside went out”
“Tae check your surrounding” I turned left and right to see if there was anybody suspicious, then I saw a black shadow turning a corner “Guys I think I found somebody. I’m going in” I ran after the figure and soon caught up to the person. The suspect is wearing heels so I take it that she is a girl. I pulled on her hair as she stumbled back, I thought I had won, that is till she turned around and gave me a hard punch to my face *Damn this* we exchanged blows and kicks. I am very surprised that she could keep up with me *Where the hell are the other guys? * I thought frustrated. It seemed like she could read my mind because she said “don’t bother waiting for you friends they won’t be coming. This isn’t an easy place to find and with the ongoing commotion inside, it will take them at least another 10 minutes.”

“Shut it.” I took out my gun and pointed it towards her threatening to shoot her if she moves.
“Why are you doing this? Who are you? You’re the shadow aren’t you?” She chuckled “Shadow? Is that what I’m label as out here?”
“Why did you kill him?” Her hand reached to her back and pulled out a thin manila coloured file throwing it in front of me.
“You cops are really stupid you know?”
“What do you mean by that?” before she could answer a honk came from outside of the estate, we were quite close to the entrance so we could hear the honk.
“I’d love to stay and play but I have to get going” she said and jumped out the window. A wave of nostalgia came over me *Could they be the same person?* I cursed as I walked over to where the manila file laid. Picking it up I opened it and my eyes went wide. I looked up and stare at the window *Just who are you?*

Hi there! Next chapter is up, what do you think of it? Also since new year has just passed i decided to do a special chapter. It will have nothing to do with this story. It's a one shot kind of thing, the charaters are the same but their personality might change. That will be posted up by the end of this week depending on how much time i have to type but it'll definitely be up before the week ends. You can choose to skip this short story and wait for the next update because like i've mentioned before it has Nothing ​to do with the main story.
