Minjung POV

“Tell me who was the one who bribed you!” I threw another punch to the man tied up in front of me. “If I say anything more I would lose my life” he whizzed as he tried to sit up straight. The man in front of me is none other than Terrance Wong, he sold us out a while ago. We do weapon trading and drug trading with him, everything went well till someone bribed him to turn in our men causing them to be jailed. I really don’t want to be here now but I didn’t have a choice so I though why not just get it over and done with. But he is not co-operating with me. For the pass 20 minutes all I have gathered is that it was a guy in black who paid him a visit a few weeks back in his home and I had to stick a dagger in his right thigh to get that information.

I let out a sigh and turn to face the array of weapon or torture devices behind me. After scanning the table once I picked up a mechanism that was used to crush things, in this case fingers and toes. “You know I tried to help you but now you are just wasting my time. I have more important things to do.” I said turning back to face Terrance. “Please, I have a family. I’ll do anything you say so long as you don’t let him get to me.” He begged, struggling to break free of the ropes that bind his hands and feet together.

“Look, this is how things are going to go okay? I will ask you one question and with each question you answer correctly you get to keep your finger, but if I catch you or even feel that you are lying. Well, you will know what happen so I advise you to tell me everything I need to know.” I sat down on the chair beside him and started with his left hand. “Question 1, give me the name of the person who bribed you”

“I told you I don’t know who the hell he is okay! He just came to my house and left a big sum of money and some instructions. He use my family against me” I sighed and pressed down on the mechanism, a sickening crack sound could be heard followed by a string of curses from Terrance’s mouth. “Let’s try again. Why does he want to disrupt our alliance?” I asked as I moved onto the next finger, getting myself into position. “I really don’t know anything please just let me go”

“You know I really want you to keep your fingers but at this rate their you’re going to lose all of them.” I was just about to press down when Terrance stopped me “Okay okay! I’ll talk.” I let go of his hand and leaned back on the chair I was sitting on, he collected himself before starting to fill me in on what happen. After a good 10-15 minutes of talking I got all the information I needed.

I stood up from my chair and took out my gun from the holster that was attached to my thigh. “Hey I thought I told you everything you wanted to know can’t you let me off” Terrance started to panic as I pointed my gun towards him. I looked down at my watch *They’re here* I thought to myself and smirked. I lower my gun and smiled at him “Oh don’t worry someone else has business with you as well.” Just as I finished my sentence the door to the hotel bust opened revealing 7 officers with guns wearing masks. “Put your hands up!” I turned to face the 7 officers “Nice of you to join us officers but you’re a little late. I have other places to be at now so have fun with Terrance over here” I said and opened the window ledge. Just as I placed my foot on the ledge I got stopped “You’re not going anywhere”

“Do have what it takes to stop me?”
“Are you challenging us?”
“As a matter of fact I am.”
“Challenge accepted”
“Before you decide to do anything might I remind you this isn’t our first meeting and in the other meetings you always seem to be a step behind me. See what’s my point here?” Again, I placed my foot on the ledge but just as I was about to jump out the window a bullet grazed my waist. I winced in pain and landed on the ground with a loud thud shocking the pedestrian on the streets. I’m pretty sure the shoulder that I landed on is going hurt like hell later on together with the wound on my waist.

I ran a few blocks down to where I had parked my car, I constantly turn to look if the police had caught up with me. A few meters away from me was the officer who I had fought with before picking up the pace I turned a corner in hope of losing him. Sadly, he caught up to me and we were now stuck in a dead end. “You’ve lost. Give it up” I laughed and shook my head “Silly boy. I will never lose” I used the help of the wall beside me to do a flip over the wall that was behind me. *Bye officer*

Taehyung POV

*Damn it!* I trudged back to the hotel where the boys were. “You okay?” Jimin came up to me and asked. “Yea, but she got away” He sighed and patted me on the back. We headed back to the office and got a scolding from our boss for not catching her. We got dismissed and I headed to the gym straight. I threw punches after punches to the dummy in the gym * how could I have let her out of my grasp again?* An hour pass like that with me throwing punches and kicks to the poor dummy in the gym. I kept thinking and thinking about her who does she give me a sense of familiarity, other than the fact that I’ve seen her multiple times on cases. I just can’t wrap my head around it, and it is pissing me off.

The doors to the gym opened revealing Jimin, my best friend, in a wife beater and track pants. He gestured me over to lift weights together with him. “Don’t beat yourself over it. We all had a part in this.” I nodded wordlessly and went back to lifting the weights “I know what you’re thinking. But, I think that isn’t the case. Sure we all felt it but I don’t think she would be someone like this” I nodded again “Shouldn’t you be heading home? I know the rest have left.” “And leave you here overthinking by yourself?” I let a chuckle escape my lips, so did Jimin. Another hour had passed and we were both exhausted after sparing with each other as well as lifting weights. We showered and went our separate ways. I was feeling a little hungry so I drove over to the Bibimbap shop that Minjung and I first met at.

After ordering my food I sat down at one of the corner tables and closed my eyes. “You’re going to fall asleep at this rate and I’ll have to wake you up again” *This voice* I shot up and opened my eyes. I saw a casually dressed Minjung sitting across from me. She was dressed in a plain black hoodie with jeans, though she is wearing something so simple she still looks stunning. She has captured all the attentions of the guys in the shop. “What are you doing here?” I asked a little stunned by her presence and beauty. “Because I want to eat?” She replied as a matter of fact.

We talked as we ate and had a few pretty good laughs but my mind kept going back to her. I desperately want to know her identity. *Just who is that girl* I guess Minjung saw through me and asked “Something happen at work today?” she asked putting down her dumpling. “Was I spacing out?” She nodded her head as she took a sip of her coke. “Don’t worry about it”
“I wouldn’t but you kept going into deep thoughts and you’re not someone to think”
“Yea I kno- Hey wait a minute!” I raised my voice a little and she laughed causing me to laugh along with her. “There’s that smile” I heard her comment and it made my stomach churn. *Damn girl, what are you trying to do to me*

“Thanks”
“For what?”
“For getting my mind off work”
“You’re welcome. So about the party..”
“I’m coming to pick you up that’s final” She rolled her eyes and nodded her head knowing that she will not win me on this. “I need a favour. I don’t know what to get for your friends”
“We can go shopping together when the date is closer and they’re your friends as well”

We talked for little while more before leaving the place. We bade goodbye and drove of in different directions. *You can’t be her..right?”
