Knock Knock

Ji Hyo knocked on Jong Kooks bedroom door.

"Ne" Jong Kook said

Ji Hyo opened the door and went inside. She saw Jong Kook laying on his bed while looking blank.

As soon as Jong Kook saw Ji Hyo standing in his room, his heart began beating faster.

"Eomma asked me to check on you if everything is alright.." she qietly said not feeling well herself

"Eoh.. I'm good.." he answered

Ji Hyo nodded and turned around, wanting to leave again after having checked on him like her mother instructed.

"Ji Hyo-ah" Jong Kook called her

"Ne?" Ji Hyo replied and turned her head, facing Jong Kook

"Can you come inside for a moment?" he asked

"Why? Do you need anything?" she asked confused

"I want to ask you something.. please come inside for a second"

She turned her whole body and went inside Jong Kooks bedroom again. Now standing in the middle of the room, looking at Jong Kook.

He stood up from his bed and started to walk towards her.
Scared that he might do something to her and telling her he has something to ask her might just be an excuse, she took a step back when he took a step forward.

Why is she moving backwards all of a sudden? Is she scared? Please just stay still.. now that I have the courage, don't make me change my mind Ji Hyo-ah  he though to himself

When Ji Hyos last step hit the wall, she new there is no other way to escape this situation or better said, delay this situation.

"Stop walking towards me.. just ask me whatever you wanted to ask" she hurriedly said before he is getting too close

"Don't be scared" he said as he stood still in his position

"I'm not!" she said with a little louder voice

"Listen Ji Hyo-ah.. when my parents told me that they want to adopt a child, I was completely against it. I hate to have a sibling and the imagination of an adopted one was even worse.
I always liked living with my parents and no other siblings. Being an only child has its perks. I always had a great relationship with my parents. Well mostly with eomma.. not so much with appa because he was never around just like now.. but anyways.. Having some stranger come into our life and mix up our family made me so angry!"

Jong Kook noticed his eyes filling up with tears so he stopped talking so sentimentally.

"Overall.. I'm....I'm..I'm very sorry for everything that happened" he qietly said, not looking into Ji Hyos eyes

Ji Hyo felt like a little girl. She smiled weakly to him.

"It's alright Jong Kook sshi"

"If you want to.. you can call me oppa.. but only if you want to.. if you dont want to its alright too.. I mean if you don't..."

"I get it oppa!" Ji Hyo said in the middle of Jong Kooks stutter speech
"Thank you for your apology but.. I think I need some time to be able to treat you like my older brother.. after everything that happened to me because of you and your friends." she made clear

"I understand." he said but was still happy that she at least accepted his sincere apology

"Alright then.. I'm gonna go to my room now.. see you" she said and walked towards the door

"By the way.. are you alright? Eomma said you didn't feel well today.." he curiously asked her

"Eoh.. not a big deal." she said without looking at Jong Kook and kept walking outside the door

From when she walked outside Jong Kooks room, she had a big smile on her face. She never thought that he could actually be such a gentle person. As she was walking down the steps, her dizziness that she had all day came back. She put both her hand on each temple and pressed hard, hoping it would go away faster but doing so, she lost her balance and fell down the stairs. Laying on the floor without any movement.

"Ji Hyo-aahhh!" her eomma screamed, as she came out of the living room because of the noise and saw Ji Hyo laying there unconscious.

She went to Ji Hyo immediately and kneeled in front of her, took her head and put it on her lap. As she took her hands away, she saw a lot of blood on both her hands and the floor.

"Jong Kook-aaaahh!" she called him

"Wae eomma, wae?" Jong Kook answered as he came out of the room and wanted to go down the stairs. Right at the second stair he stood still
