Bae Joohyun / The Legendary Princess Irene

Known primarily as Princess Irene which was considered to be a legend.  Joohyun, a 20 years old university student has a hair that keep on turning from light brown to shiny silver and yellow while her eyes turn into bright silver whenever she gets furious. She is the daughter of the royal blood mythological family but she was raised to live a normal life without knowing herself to be a royal magical creature. Despite her outgoing and optimistic, Joohyun shows herself amiable with friends and strangers, she develops feelings for Baekhyun, who does not fawn over her like everyone else. Later, she musters her courage to tell Baekhyun that she likes him as more than just a friend.

When Joohyun was still young, her father erased all of her childhood memories for the sake of her safety from the evil demon. She is naïve, but sometimes surprises adults with an insightful comment. Joohyun is generous and cares greatly for other people and perceives herself to be a considerate person. She can be stubborn, but also courageous. Because she possesses magical white golden wings, Joohyun has the good fortune around her.

Byun Baekhyun / The Mythological Black Wings 

Baekhyun is not an ordinary mythological creature. Since after he had grown himself a big, strong and black colour wings, many of the mythological creatures had accused him to be the Legendary Powerful Demon. He is regarded as one of the strongest student of all time. When he was young, he failed to grow his own wings and was abandoned by everyone. He is an adopted child by the blue blood family and had an unidentified background. Due the fact he is betrayed and abandoned, leaving him suicidality depressed, he had lost all the will to live and decided to destroy the world until Joohyun comforts him. Joohyun really wanted to befriend with Baekhyun at first, but Baekhyun was stubborn and rejected the offer, but was later convinced to be her friend.

He was initially unable to feel Joohyun's love due to his mind being stuck in hatred. But Joohyun proves her love to him by not abandoning him. Despite the attention Joohyun give him, Baekhyun is oblivious to her affections. He accepts Joohyun's confession, but since she is from the royal blood family, he turns her down.  Although he keeps on trying to distance himself from Joohyun, he couldn't help but to fall for her more deeply, thus he comes to reciprocate her feelings, even it is a forbidden love. Love to show his love affection towards Joohyun with his naughty side.

Son Seungwan / The Intelligent Mythological Wendy

Wendy is known as a rookie Guardian as well as Joohyun's best friend. She is known for her intelligence among all the rookies Guardian and possesses incredible healing powers.  She put her natural talents to work and often would help others with her healing power. She once failed to prove to her superior to protect Joohyun who almost got killed by the evil demon when they were at the human world. Because of not wanting to be part away from Wendy, Joohyun had used her power as the Princess Irene, making a special request to Wendy’s superior to give Wendy a second chance to prove herself worth it.

Later, Joohyun appointed her as her second personal guardian alongside with Joy. Her friends love to make fun of her by calling her a pig because of her gluttony. She eats constantly and has an interest in any type of food. She tries to get along with Sehun in order to improve her skills and power as a Guardian. Though somewhat unusual, Wendy develops a strong relationship with Sehun, who happily accepts the role of her friendly genius rivalry.

Park Sooyoung / The Strong Mythological Joy

Joy also known as one of the rookie guardians before been appointed as the personal guardian of Princess Irene. Despite the young girl's size, she is able to lift a heavy rock because she possesses superhuman strength. She is described as cute, adorable and sweet. She is best friend with Joohyun and Wendy.

Joy had frequently been lecturer by her superior whenever she carelessly address Princess Irene as Joohyun and didn't formally treat Joohyun as her princess although Joohyun hate the fact that her best friends had to treat her formally around the mansion. She falls in love with Sehun handsomeness and constantly flirts and shows affection towards Sehun, who does not reciprocate. Despite her frequent bickering and arguing with Chanyeol, which usually results with her comically beating up Chanyeol, she secretly develops feelings towards Chanyeol, but denies this conflicted feeling.

Park Chanyeol / The Mythological Human Wolf 

Chanyeol is Baekhyun's first guy best friend. Just like Baekhyun, Chanyeol was bullied regularly since he is an orphan. They both becomes close friend when Baekhyun rescues him, he wants to be Baekhyun's follower to get rid of his self-esteem issues. He become a student of the SM Mythological Acadamy since then. Although he is not as physically strong as Baekhyun, he possesses superhuman speed and known as Wolf look alike because of his wolf-like ears. Extremely quick and agile, he particularly enjoys joking around with Baekhyun and Sehun. However he's kind hearted and always cheers people up. Chanyeol is simple minded and known Baekhyun very well. Chanyeol is the ever-staunch advisor and supporter from behind the scenes, always willing to help when needed. He trains to become physically strong under Joy's guidance, which later falls in love with her.

Chanyeol values his friends greatly and will not hesitate to kill those who would try to endanger them or make fun of them in any way. Despite being rough around the edges, Chanyeol shares a particularly strong relationship with Joohyun. He happily accepts the role of an older brother figure to Joohyun, who looks up to him and strives to become a "manly man" like Baekhyun and Sehun.

Oh Sehun / The Crown Prince of the Dark Red Mythological Creature

Sehun is also Baekhyun's best friend and has a reputation for his good looks. A handsome crown prince to become the next emperor of the dark red mythological empire. He's very popular among girls. Sehun often known as a responsible ruler and forgets his own needs by being Joohyun's suitor by arrangement, and hopes that the relationship will give his subjects under protection of the white mythological empire. He is a powerful swordsman and has been additionally trained in martial arts since childhood. He also loves to fool around with people, especially with Chanyeol. 

However, he has no personal interest in Joohyun, and is rather having a close relationship with Wendy. Although he is a close friend to Baekhyun in all aspects, he gets jealous that Joohyun pays more attention to Baekhyun. So, he tends to tease Baekhyun and make him jealous by calling himself as Joohyun's fiancée. After meeting Joohyun and the others, he is gradually able to act as himself and finds true friends.
