Kim Yerim has no worries regarding her relationship with Jeon Jungkook. Not until one conversation with her friend. What was meant to be a joke to tease Yerim, turned into a slight serious discussion.

"So, is Jeon Jungkook a good kisser?" Yerim rolled her eyes in response, leave it to her friend to be a busybody.

"Wouldn't you like to know." Yerim casually replied. "And to seriously answer you I don't know."

"What do you mean you don't know?" Her friend asked incredulously. "Haven't you been dating for a while now?"

"Yes it has been a while," Yerim said as she munched on her bread, "but we haven't kissed yet."

The statement was followed by silence. Yerim didn't want to dwell much on the matter, knowing her friend enjoys teasing her. However, the ongoing silence had her a bit worried. Not to mention the concerned look on her friend's face.

"Why? Is it weird?" Yerim asked, now feeling a bit concerned.

"No, no," her friend quickly assured, "I just expected you guys to have at least kissed once. But I guess everyone's relationship is different."

To say that there has been no progress between the two young lovers, would be wrong. They do have progress, but is it going too slow?

Yerim then recalled on the things they've shared together. Holding hands have been a normal thing, even when they were just friends. And hugs have been given plenty of times (although it enduces much more butterflies now).

Though now that she thinks about it, those skinships were usually initiated by her. Sure Jungkook would sometimes just unconciously held her hand, but Yerim would often be the one to purposely create the moments.

This then creates a thought in Yerim's mind, should she be the one to initiate the kiss as well?

Jeon Jungkook was struck with the knowledge that he was very, very, very inexperienced in terms of relationships. He has just gotten back from grabbing a drink with his roommate when the topic of relationships came up. The two boys were quite open with each other since they just want to escape the initial awkward-getting-to-know-phase and just say and ask everything.

When his friend asked about Jungkook's relationship and how far they've gone, Jungkook mistook it and said that they've been dating for a while. His friend then gave further explanation to the question and Jungkook had shyly answered that they've only held hands and hugged.

Not believing him, his friend asked about his first kiss which Jungkook had no answer to. The friend then joked how innocent Jungkook was and that maybe he should initiate it the next time they meet.

Though his friend had said in a joking manner, Jungkook still thought about it a lot. That is why when both of them planned to go on another date, Jungkook made sure to come prepared.

Yerim and Jungkook met up at the cinema on their next date. Yerim had made sure to apply her peach flavored lipgloss before going out. Jungkook had also brought his lip balm, just to make sure he won't have chapped lips.

When they met, both were aware of one another and the atmosphere changed from their usual casual vibe. Clearing his throat, Jungkook gave Yerim a warm smile before leading her to the theatre. It was Jungkook's turn to pick a movie and his roommate was the one who suggest it, said that it was a must watch romance movie. He also brought up that there are many scenes that could help build the mood for him to make a move.

Once seated inside, Yerim asked what movie they're about to watch. She's never heard of the movie but had trust Jungkook's choice and sat back to enjoy it.

Oh how surprised they were.

The movie lived to the genre. However, Jungkook wasn't so sure about his friend's word about the scenes helping to set the mood. Sure there were many romantic scenes, but it would then escalate too quickly and made it turn steamy. Jungkook was already red from having to watch it, when he looked towards Yerim, the girl had already covered her eyes only peeking slightly from the spaces between her fingers.

To think that it was the worst part was so wrong. The movie theatre was filled with other couples and unfortunately for them, they were seated behind a very sickening couple that couldn't seem to keep their hands from each other.

Jungkook couldn't be happier when the movie ended, he felt like he just wanted to crawl into a hole. Yerim must think I'm some sort of weirdo now.

On the other hand, Yerim was now much more convinced that Jungkook must want her to make a move first. That was why when they got out of the theatre, Yerim excused herself to go to the toilet and made sure to re-apply her lipgloss. Yerim went out of the toilet with determination to have her first kiss with Jeon Jungkook, or her first kiss in general, that day.

Having determination, however, does not guarantee you a result.

Yerim has been purposely dropping hints and setting up scenarios for Jungkook to be able to kiss her. During lunch, she has done the cliche, eating messily for Jungkook to help clean and maybe make a move to kiss her. Instead, he had only for eating like a baby and offered her a napkin.

The second attempt was when Yerim pretended to have something in her eye. She had asked him to check on it, pretending that maybe an eyelash had gotten stuck. Jungkook leaned closer to check on her, he even cupped her face to have a better look. Yerim had instictively close her eyes which made Jungkook chuckle, "how am I supposed to check, princess?"

When they were bored after going around, the young couple decided to visit the arcade. Being in a place filled with many games to play with, both forgot about the whole kissing ordeal and just focused on having fun.

Yerim then stumbled upon a photobox machine and dragged Jungkook inside the booth. Jungkook was first reluctant to do it, but then had fun doing weird poses. They were given a couple of chances to pose and on the last one Yerim had a plan. She was going in for a kiss on the cheek. Hey, it's better than nothing, she thought.

The countdown started and Yerim was ready to go on her tippy toes to reach his cheek. On the last second, Jungkook had suddenly turned to face Yerim who already had her eyes closed and was going in for a kiss on the cheek. When the flash went off, their lips met. Quite hard.

Both were surprised at the harsh impact. Yerim had even winced and reached up to her lips to check if it bled. Jungkook had also drew further from the girl, covering his mouth in disbelief. We just kissed!

He was suddenly brought to reality when he noticed Yerim still had her hand on her lips.

"Oh no, Yerim are you okay?" He asked, concerned. He gently brought her face closer to check on her lips. Fortunately there was nothing serious and Jungkook relaxed a bit. However, he then realized the proximity between them and how Yerim's cheeks had turned a lovely shade of red. His eyes then quickly darted to her lips, which he noticed had been supporting a nice shade of peach throughout the day.

Yerim noticed the boy's attention on her lips and had closed her eyes, expecting him to finally dive in for a kiss. Jungkook was about to lean in closer, their lips inches apart, when suddenly a group of girls opened the curtain to the booth. The couple jumped out of surprised and stood further apart as the group of girls asked them to hurry up.

Yerim and Jungkook didn't even have the chance to pick and decorate their photos. They had just randomly pressed the buttons and left the booth so the girls could jump in. The photo was printed out quickly as Yerim took it.

The pair decided it was time to head back and began their journey home. Throughout the bus ride and even the walk to Yerim's house, both of them were silent.

When they reached the Kim's residence, both didn't want to say good bye. Yerim was reluctant to go inside and Jungkook didn't even gesture her to go in. They both stood there for a while, eyes not meeting each other's.

It was Yerim who broke the silence. "I had a great time today, as always. Thank you." She said, shyly looking up to meet Jungkook's eyes. She was greeted with a soft look from Jungkook. Before Jungkook could say anything (and before she chickened out) Yerim gave a light peck on Jungkook's cheek. This time it was successful and the look of surprise on Jungkook's face would be so satisfying if Yerim wasn't so embarassed at what she had done.

Yerim had said a quick goodbye and was about to dash inside before Jungkook held her wrist. The action was so fast that Yerim couldn't see it coming, all that matter was the soft touch on her lips. The feeling went away quickly as Jungkook drew back, eyes wide and ears burning red at the realization of he just did.

Fortunately for him, Yerim seemed to be in a daze. Jungkook used that opportunity to usher her to get inside quickly before rushing to the bus stop, the rush from the kiss and the feeling of embarassment was still there.

When Jungkook got home, he quickly gave Yerim a text.

jeon.jk: gosh this is soo embrassing but ive been wanting to do tht all day and ugh

jeon.jk: well yea thats that..goodnight yerim

On the other side...

Yerim was in a daze even until she went into her room. The realization of Jungkook kissing her had just sunk in and made her extremely giddy. She couldn't help but to plop on her bed and squealed.

When she calmed down, Yerim reached for her bag to retrieve her phone when she heard the notifications coming in. She saw a couple of messages from Jungkook. She took it out and two strips of photos from the arcade fell out. Each frame captured their playfulness while the last one had made her giggle. It was a picture of them accidently kissing and Yerim couldn't help but to quickly take a picture and send it to Jungkook.
