Chapter Eight

Groaning, Zico rolled over. Slowly opening his eyes he looked around. Right at that moment Taeil walked in carrying a tray. Sleepily, Zico sat up and rubbed his eyes. "Good morning sleepy head!" Taeil said happily as he sat the tray down in front of Zico. "You're still not leery of me, are you?" He asked as cut the pancakes. Zico stared at him lost in thought. "I'll wait for you. Till you're ready to give me your heart." He continued talking. Flash backs of memories were rushing to him. The moment his heart started racing when he smiled at him the first time, the reason why he didn't feel grossed out when Taeil laid next to him, why he wasn't angry when he kissed him. All the time they spent together practicing for the show and why Taeil never left his mind. He was just realizing this now. It wasn't because he wasn't around humans for a while. It was because he was already taken by him the moment they met. He was still afraid but not as much as he was before. Without realizing it, he'd already came to trust Taeil. Everything he buried deep in his heart, Taeil brought everything up. Even when he tried to get rid of him, he never ran. Especially when he found out that he was a vampire. He wasn't sure if he loved him but there was one thing he was sure of. "I like him.." Zico mumbled. Taeil, who was holding the fork in front of Zico's mouth fell to the ground with a loud clatter. The pancake flying everywhere. "What did you just say?" Taeil asked timidly, not sure if he heard him correctly. Zico looked him in the eyes. "Taeil, I like you." He said it with more confidence. Zico liked him a lot. More then he came to realize but he wasn't going to let him know that. Taeil removed the tray from the bed and scooted closer. "Are you sure? When did you realized that?" Taeil wasn't trying to be a doubter. He just didn't want to get his hopes up. "Just now. I was too blinded by my lack of trust in the human race too notice what I was truly feeling. From the moment I met you, you were already in my heart. You made me smile, genuinely smile. You're the one who me feel special. I was torn, confused about everything. I've never liked anyone so I didn't know what I was feeling. I was frustrated on why you were on my mind, even when I tried to push you away. I'm new on this kind of thing. I've never fallen for a girl nor a guy before. I'm not sure if I'll be perfect and I'm not sure if I'll be any good at this dating thing." Zico placed his hand on Taeil's. "Anything new you throw at me, I will always be willing to try. For you. I'll do anything for you." Taeil couldn't believe his ears. He was so emotional that he couldn't think. The words he been longing to hear was finally said to him. He doesn't know if he should cry or jump for joy. His heart was racing and his stomach was in knots. "So... Does this mean... You want to date me?" His heart had reach his ears and it was deafening. He was straining just to make sure he heard him correctly. "Yes. I definitely do." Without warning he jumped Zico body, tackling him in a hug. "Thank you. Thank you so much." He mumbled against Zico chest. Zico didn't say anything as he hugged the boy back. "Thank you." He thought.

They had finished eating and was walking to school. Zico wanted to drive his car but Taeil wanted to walk together like he wanted to the last time when he stayed over. He finally gave up when Taeil started to talk cutely and cling to him. Shyly, Taeil slipped his fingers in between Zico hand. That sudden movement startled him and his face went all  hot tamale. They were chatting about everything and anything. "So do you drink from humans?" Taeil asked curiously. Zico wasn't upset. He knew that he would have questions thrown at him. If he was Taeil, he'd have a bunch a questions too. "No. I've never had a chance to. Ever since I was born my mom always given me something different. She told me to never drink from the people around us." Taeil looked over at him. "Do you want to? Are you not curious?" He shrugged. "I mean I am. I've always wanted to. I'm scared a little bit. I heard stories about some of my family members. They had never had human blood before. So when they did drink it, they lost control. It took a while for them to recover from that. I don't know if I'll be like that. What if I can't stop? What if I end up doing what my uncle did?" Taeil squeezed his hand. "You're nothing like your uncle. Your people probably never had self control. I'm sure you could handle it.." Taeil thought for a moment. "Do...do you want to try me? Since we're dating, I wouldn't mind." Zico could feel Taeil eyes on him. He could feel that even though he's scared, Taeil wanted to do this. "Your blood do smell sweet Tae but-" Suddenly an ominous feeling came over his body that caused Zico to stop talking and walking. That feeling hit the pit of his stomach and he doesn't like it one bit. He quickly scanned around the area. He's got a bad feeling. Usually when he feels like that, it's not a good sign. "What is it Zico?" Taeil asked worriedly. He could tell he was already making him feel scared and he doesn't want to make him more worried. "Nothing. Hey, we're going to be late. Come here." Zico said as he held out his hand. Obediently Taeil listened and came closer. Zico pulled his body  close. "Hold on tight. I'm going to vamped the rest of the way." Taeil looked confused. "What do you mean by-" the rest of his words were lost in the wind. Within seconds they were at the front door of the school. No one was around to see him do that. He let go of Taeil and looked at him. He couldn't tell if that was shock or amazement on his face. "Wow. That.was.awesome!" He exclaimed excitedly. Yup. It was defin
