“if you don’t work for me, then I have no more need of you”

Today’s the day, the day where I will be officially start working at Kim Production. Kim Production, is know for its unique style and their designs are always sold within a day. It’s definitely one of South Korea’s biggest brands and it’s all thanks to Mr.Kim their creative director. He himself single handedly design the whole fall collection and help Kim Production marked it’s peak in South Korea, or at least that’s what I read.

And it just so happens that I was reappointed as his secretary today…

“Hello, I’m here to meet Mr. Kim.” I said to the clerk. She looks up and said “Do you have an appointment with him?” “No, I was recently reappointed as his new secretary and today is my first day so…” I looked at her but she just scans me from head to toe. “Mmm… let me check. Okay you’re in. Right this way…” She leads me to another room. I scan through the room and it’s definitely something… the weird vases and couches are sure ‘unique’.

“Mr. Kim?” She knocked the door, “Your new secretary is here to meet you” we both walk in. “Nice to meet you Mr. Kim I’m Park Soojin” I greeted with a bow and smile brightly at him.

“I don’t need a secretary. I can take care of myself by myself.” He said reading the his files. “Sorry he’s like that, it’s just his ways you know, I mean that’s where all this company’s uniqueness came from!” She whispered to me. “Right, Let me introduce you to each other! This is Mr. Kim Taehyung he’s our creative director and sir she is Soojin… just like what she just said….” She sigh before continuing “well, I better get going. Excuse me” She said and left

Mr. Kim just stared at me while I stood there for probably a mere one minute. “I guess  do need some help.” He muttered to himself. “Anyways, tell me about yourself, Soojin” He said not facing me. “uhm… Well, I came from a small town in Daegu and I now live alone in a small apartme-“ “What a coincidence I’m from Daegu as well!” He smiled. “what else?” He’s now facing me. “erm… I really like the colour orange?”

“Tell me, which shade is better? This? Or this?” He held up to pieces of orange cards. “Sir, isn’t it the same?” I ask. “Nope, this is goldfish orange and this is tangerine orange” He sigh and put down the cards before saying, “you miss have no sense in fashion.” “What does that have to do with fashion?” I ask quit
