When love comes unexpectedly it renders you helpless. Whether it be new love or past love, it affects you all the same.  The question is what’s next? What will you do when love comes unexpectedly? Will you welcome it with open arms or will you turn your back on it?

It’s the early morning after the banquet. The sun hadn’t come out yet, but it would make its appearance soon. Jessica was the first to wake up with only 3 hours of sleep. She slept on the floor nearest to the balcony door, but not so near that she would catch a cold. It was much too early for her to be awake, but what could she do? Her body rejected sleep. It had been so long since she watched the sunrise. So instead of staring aimlessly at the ceiling, Jessica slipped outside onto the balcony to wait for the sun to raise.

As soon as Jessica slipped out on to the balcony, she felt the cold air kiss her skin. It probably wasn’t wise for her to be outside wearing just a tank top and a pair of shorts, but Jessica didn’t care. She also didn’t want to go back inside and disrupt the others who were sleeping in the living room. Last night, they all decided to have a sleepover in the living room after coming back from the banquet.

It was peaceful out on the balcony. It was a great time to think. Jessica had a lot on her mind after last night’s events, but one thing kept replaying in her mind.

She’s back. Her mind repeated those words over and over again as if to remind her that this wasn’t a dream. It was reality.

Events from last night flooded Jessica’s mind as she leaned against the rails of the balcony and stared aimlessly at the twilight sky.

“Whom did you write the song for?” Tiffany asks. Everyone else became silent; they knew the answer to her question.

“Don’t you know a singer never reveals her inspiration for the songs she writes?” Jessica goes over to Tiffany and ruffles the top of her head.

“I completely agree with you. I just hope the song wasn’t for or about me.” Everyone except for Jessica turn their head to face the newcomer’s voice and gasps.

She’s really back.

“Sooyeon-ah~” Jessica finally turns to meet the other’s gaze and a tear escapes her eyes. Without thinking about it, Jessica moves past the others and runs toward the newcomer who is slowly walking towards them. She finally reaches the girl and leaps into her embrace while the other catches her. Jessica wraps her legs around the latter’s waist and buries her face in the crook of the other’s neck.

“I missed you Princess,” The latter whispers into Jessica’s ears.

Suddenly, Jessica’s thoughts were disrupted when she felt a pair of arms envelop her into a back hug. “It’s cold out.” the velvet voice whispered into her ears. Jessica could feel the latter’s warm breath kiss her ears. It sent shivers down her spine and made her heart skip a beat. “You should’ve at least brought a blanket or a jacket to cover up.” Jessica was initially taken by surprise, but welcomed the warmth that hugged her body. She hadn’t felt this feeling in a long time. It felt good. She missed it. “But I’m glad you didn’t.” Jessica couldn’t help but feel a smile creep across her face when she heard this. She knew where this discussion was going.

“Really? Why? Would you rather I freeze here?” Jessica acted as if she were offended, but in reality she wasn’t.

“No, I’m glad because then I wouldn’t be able to do this.” This time Jessica felt the hug tighten—but not so tight that it was uncomfortable. This comment made Jessica blush. Luckily she wasn’t discovered, because the latter was behind her and couldn’t see her face. She felt her heart doing somersaults while they were in their tight embrace.

There was a silence between them as they stay in their same position. “What are you thinking about?” the latter’s voice was full of concern.

“Nothing in particular...just stuff…” Jessica let out a puff of air and saw the white smoke created by the cold atmosphere blow in the cool breeze.

“Am I included in the stuff you’re thinking about?” Jessica doesn’t say anything. She just nods.

“Good? Bad?” the latter asks.

“I don’t know...” Jessica says. There was a pregnant pause after Jessica’s response. “It’s definitely not bad.” This time Jessica felt the other sigh against her back. She figured it was a sigh of relief.

“We didn’t really get to talk last night…By talk, I mean talk about us.” The latter paused. “Were you surprised?....What am I thinking….of course you were…..What I mean is...”

“Seobang…. If you’re asking if I was upset to see you. The answer is no. If anything...I should--”

Before jessica could finish her sentence she felt the arms that wrapped around her loosen. “What did you just say?” This time the latter stood next to Jessica and faced her so that she could get a clear view of her face.

“I’m not upset if that’s wha--”

“No, before that.” Jessica looked at her curiously. She was acting a little strange.

“Yuri-ah what are y--”

“The first word. What was the first word?” Yuri patiently awaits Jessica’s response despite her anxiousness.

The first wor...oh that. Jessica finally understood.

“Seobang~” Jessica says with a shy smile. It brought a smile to the latter’s face as she leaned in to take Jessica into her arms.

“I never thought I’d hear you call me that again.” Yuri says with a quivering voice. “I meant what I said last night.” She sighed with content.

“E-even a-after e-everything?” This time Jessica was quivering with her words. A rush of emotions hit her like a Tidal Wave.

“Even after everything.” Yuri says as she pulls Jessica closer to her body and her hair. She knew they were both feeling the same things. She knew Jessica missed her just as much as she did. She could feel it in Jessica’s words.

Yuri pulls away to see a crying Jessica. “ I came back for you.” Yuri smiles as she cups Jessica’s cheeks and gently brushes away the crying girl’s tears with her thumb. “I know last night I said I came back to finish school. But If I were to be really honest with myself, I came back for you. I came back for us.” There was a short silence in between. “But...that’s if you want me back. Do you?” Yuri asks and looks down at the ground. She was afraid to hear Jessica’s answer.

Jessica brought her hands to Yuri’s cheeks and willed the latter to lift her gaze level to her own. What Jessica did next took Yuri by surprise. Yuri froze when she felt a pair of lips pressed against hers. When there was no response from Yuri, Jessica pressed her lips harder against Yuri’s to let the girl know this wasn’t a dream. As she predicted, She felt Yuri respond to the kiss. The kiss was slow and innocent. There was no lust, but a feeling of longing from both girls. It was evident for both of them that they both missed eachother.

They finally pulled apart for air. A smile appeared across their faces as their foreheads pressed against each other. The moment felt right.

“So does this mean you’ll be my girlfriend?” Yuri asks a little breathless.

Jessica giggles in response. “What do you think?”

“I think….if you’ll accept this then the answer is yes.” Yuri pulls out the necklace she’s wearing and unhooks it. The necklace held two rings, but not just ordinary rings. Their rings.

“You kept it?” Jessica was surprised to see their couple rings. She thought Yuri would’ve thrown them out after they broke up.

“I did. I couldn’t throw them away. It wasn’t over for me then. It isn’t over for me now.” Yuri says before leaning in to steal another kiss.

Jessica smiled and returned the kiss with another one after they pulled away from each other. “Will you put it on me?” Jessica holds out her hand out. Yuri smiles and slips the ring onto Jessica’s ring finger. Without saying anything Jessica takes the other ring and slips it onto Yuri’s ring finger.

“It’s official then?” Yuri looks up into Jessica’s eyes with a lopsided smile.

“It’s official.” Jessica replies with a smile. “Seobang~” Jessica makes sure to say the nickname Yuri loves so much. It caused the latter to grin like a goof.

“Saranghae~” Yuri brings her hand to Jessica's and places a kiss over her ring finger before she wraps her arms around Jessica from behind initiating another back hug.

“I love you too.” Jessica replied in English as smile appeared across her face. “Hey look.” Jessica points towards the sky as it slowly began to light up.

“It’s beautiful isn’t it?” Jessica turns her head to look at Yuri.

“Yeah, she is.” Yuri says causing Jessica to blush. Yuri found it very cute and leans in to and places a chaste kiss on Jessica’s cheek.

“Since when were you this cheesy?” Jessica asks. She turned to watch the sunrise, but also so Yuri wouldn’t see her blush even more.

“I’ve always been this cheesy, but only with you of course.” Yuri says. “But you’re right; the sunrise is beautiful as well. Second to you of course.”

“Yah, you’re melting me with your cheesiness,” Jessica says as she playfully hits Yuri’s arm. Both girls laugh as they continue to watch the beautiful sunrise.

Unknown to them, they were being watched by someone from inside living room.

“Mmmm,” a hushed hum came from Tiffany after hearing the sliding door open then close slowly. The eye-smiling girl turned her head towards the sound and noticed the empty spot near her.

Jessi? Tiffany thought. She squinted her eyes and confirmed it was her. Tiffany just was about to get up, but she hears shuffling and stops herself from doing so.  It was her. Tiffany watched the girl get up from her where she slept and move toward the balcony door.  She was too late.

All Tiffany could do now was watch as Yuri joined Jessica outside. She watched as Yuri s her arms around Jessica’s waist just like last night.

“So for tonight, Krystal will be accompanying me on the piano while I sing an original song,” Tiffany’s ears perked up when she heard ‘original song.’

‘She composes songs too?’ Tiffany was surprised by another revelation. Not only was she oblivious to Jessica’s singing talent she was a little surprised to hear Jessica composed her own songs. She knew Jessica played the piano, but she never heard the girl sing. Not once. This was all news to her.

“It’s a song I wrote and composed a long time ago, It’s called ‘Someday’ and it’s a song about moving on.”

‘Someday...Moving on? Who could be the inspiration behind the song.’ Tiffany was lost in thought, but her eyes were fixed on Jessica who stood center stage.

“That’s all I’ll say for this song. I hope you’ll all listen to the lyrics and maybe some of you can even relate to the song.” Jessica turns to Krystal who is already sitting at the piano and cues her to begin.

Someday you're gonna realize~

Tiffany watch and listened intently as Jessica began to sing. The first note was magical. Tiffany didn’t expect to hear such a beautiful voice come from her friend—not that she expected the girl to be bad. She felt the pain in Jessica’s voice and in the lyrics of the song.

One day you'll see this through my eyes

By then I won't even be there

I'll be happy somewhere even if I cared

She could see the pain in Jessica’s eyes and could’ve sworn she saw Jessica’s eyes glisten with tears threatening to fall.  It made Tiffany want to cry as well.

As the song continued The eye-smiling girl didn’t even notice that she’d been crying all this time until she heard Hyoyeon’s voice.

“Waaaah~!” Hyoyeon sighed as she wipes the tears that rolled down her cheeks. “This is supposed to be a fun and happy night. Why does Sica have to make it all sentimental?” The blonde wasn’t complaining. She was actually touched by the performance. Everyone in the room was touched by the song. There were tears in majority of the audience’s eyes. Everyone at their table was in tears.  “Look, we’re all crying.” Everyone at the table looks at each other and notices they were all indeed crying.

“Come on, let’s go see J.” Sunny says as she wipes her tears away. She is the first to get up and walk towards the exit to find the sisters. Everyone else follows Sunny.

Outside of the grand hall the Jung sisters were locked into each other's embrace as the others came out to join them.

“Sica~!” Hyoyeon, Sunny, and Sooyoung call out them with Seohyun, Yoona, and Tiffany trailing behind them.

Jessica lets go and tu
