Somber. That's how they would describe it.
Heavy steps walked through the gates of the airport, and the four sighed at the lack of presence—of fans—anywhere. The only distinct sounds were the female speaker, notifying them that their airplane has just landed.
It was no one's fault, really—they hadn't been promoting big tracks since 2014 happened, and when they arrived in Japan, fans who knew sought after the remaining members warmly. But when they came to their own homeland, no one even knew that they had went somewhere for the past three months.
To be fair, their management told none. No fansites, no sasaengs, no... nothing. Their return sounded like a cold wind, only occasional glances from other people of somewhat good-looking, four young men arriving with several staffs. Their times were peaceful, almost too different from the first time they came to Japan, three years ago.
He remembered all too well when Kpop websites hailed them as 'fresh, strong rookies' and 'seemingly promising' or 'potential'. Fans were many, and going home safely tasted like luxury. But when the lawsuit happened, OZONE became the hot topic, and not in a good way.
The title is practically gone now. The 'it' rookies are everywhere, but most of them looked too similar to each other. The boys became super badass, and the less-known girl groups took the cutesy concept. If not, some followed the legacy of their seniors and didn't have an identity. At least, at one point, OZONE had them.
But the morning made him fear the loss of the group, forever. It was anything but peaceful—their manager had frantically called them to pack up and leave at immediate—to get back to the company, fast. No going homes, no training schedules, just to meet them at immediate.
Panic would've settled in him if he was barely debuting, but he knew that nothing good would came out of it, and admitted his sigh in defeat. This group was the 'it', and nothing would change that. But so do other groups; many second generations had good or special songs, or personality, or anything, but at the end, most of them didn't last for a decade. It's not impossible to accept that OZONE is going to be the first of the third.
As they ride upon the car, he looked up above, just as the storm drawled and the thunder cackled, preparing for rain.

"We're here." their manager sighed. The members bowed down their heads, knowing that their end would become true in a matter of a few steps. Kang Changhee was their manager for the last four years, and one of the few staffs Yongjun decided to spare on.
He knew that, once he lost his job, he lost his income too. The members tried to rack their heads upon reasoning, but they knew Yongjun was no different—money is on the line, and they knew a few months said nothing towards making a break-even for OZONE.
The eldest of them gently opened the door, expecting to be greeted by the sight of Yongjun and their contracts. Yijoo had been gripping his own hands tight, his eyes b with tears as he walked. Changhee couldn't help but gave the last encouraging pat to the eldest.
But none of them expected a calm, if not smirking Kim Yongjun. They saw three more girls sitting down next to him, their faces nervous, but the odd sight of three girls made him curious; "What does this mean?"
"From today on, OZONE is no longer a group of four, say goodbye to that," Yongjun got up from his seat, a smile plastering across his face with confidence. The others couldn't help but shiver at the confidence.
"From today, SEM Entertainment agreed to have a seven-membered co-ed group; LIGHT."
NOTES : Sorry for the late update! I know this is a co-ed group, but their track debut would be (obvious) Trespass (along with some of Monsta X's B-sides), due to the limited number of co-ed groups existed out there.
Recommend me some good tracks? Something vibrant, energetic (no, not cute).
