Two: double two
What's Rightfully Hers
"Nari, please.."
Chearim held down a sob as she knocked for the nth time on her sister's door. It was almost surreal; seeing her sister in such a gloomy expression that made the entire house darken. It was no longer a secret, everyone knew about the devastating accident Nari was put in. It was shocking to them, especially Chearim because nobody had ever considered she would get rejected. Nari was a beautiful girl, nice -spoken and kind in general. She wasn't as famous as her sister, Chearim; but she had her own charms even if a lot of people seemed oblivious. To them, they have always thought she would live happily after she finds her significant other, but apparently they were wrong.
Three days had passed and it was already time for school, - their new school- Sun kissed their cheeks and teased them by its glowing presence, but Nari did not seem to be in the right mood as the universe, especially since the incident three nights ago kept appearing in her head.
Lying down on her bed with swollen face, Nari didn't feel like doing anything with her live anymore. She had been so optimistic and happy that she have never thought the day of depression would ever come. Now she feels so depressed she wants to kill herself; whats the point of living anyway when your other half doesn't want you and claim he already has a mate? The thought brought tears to her eyes that she did not bother holding back anymore. She let them fall, wetting her pillow almost solemnly.
The rejection was too painful to her, she has not felt like this before. It was awful, her heart squeezed so badly inside her chest, she felt suffocated. Nari started hiccuping loudly when a sob emerged from her lips, not being able to force it down even if she tried. The whole night yesterday she stayed inside her room crying loudly, her mom hugging her and telling her everything would be fine. Her dad had stood in front of her door, face emotionless but anyone could feel his aura was burning with anger. Chearim was crying along with her sister, the bond they shared as siblings were firing up especially since her sister's pains are hers.
Until morning, her mom did not let her go and held her all night as she cried endlessly, her weak whimpers of 'What did I do?' And 'Am I not good enough?' Echoing in the entire house. Her words were too painful for her father to bear, so he left them with rush in his steps and slammed his room door shut.
Again, like what she has been doing the past hours; Nari rejected her sister's offer from outside her door, not feeling all that excited to learn math anymore in school, especially since the boy's dark brown eyes, extremely kissable lips, tussled black hair kept flashing in her mind in repeat.
"Nari, you need to get out of that room," Chearim sobbed loudly under her sister's room, and the sight broke her mother's heart, who was watching her stubborn daughter fighting along with her sister's dark thoughts.
Nari did not reply, she only bit on her lips hard to suppress her moan of pain as her heart squeezed. This feeling inside of her , she doesn't want to face it ever again! She hopes it would be gone soon, but who is she kidding? She had seen her uncle being rejected before, and he hadn't even recovered fast because he was extremely depressed, but his brother - her father - had to give him a wake up call and therapy sessions. After three months of unsecsussed work, her uncle ended up killing himself from loneliness.
Now, she does not really want to go through that path.
"I already have a mate!" She suddenly rose in sudden determination when the boy's words repeated themselves in her head. Now that she thinks about it, it was impossible for an already mated boy to find another mate unless it was under the conditions. There are two things that has been running through her mind, whether he was lying about his existed mate so he would find an excuse to reject her, or he really was telling the truth.
The big question is, how?
Though multiple relationship do exist - several guys mating with a single girl, or single boy mating with several girls - because they were supernatural and their mates where chosen by destiny, so they can't really question it. It occurs frequently, so there is a big possibility she is his mate along with that other mate.
It was inevitable, she wasn't angry at that girl. But his denial about her position in his life made her curious.
There must be something off with either him, or her mate-sensing radar.

"You know, it could be that he rejected you because he doesn't want any other girl in his life," though Chearim's words were harsh, they were kind of true in some way. The boy still could be only rejecting her because he simply doesn't want her in his life, someone can get this mean yeah, and perhaps she had fallen in the hands of the wrong boy. But somehow deep inside of her she didn't really want to believe it, she wanted to believe he had some accurate reason, and she wanted to extremely find out what. Besides; even if he did reject her because he doesn't want another girl in his life, she would do anything in hopes of changing his mind.
Yeah, she was that desperate.
"I wanna fight for this before giving up, I don't want to regret not doing anything in the future," Nari's voice came out cracking, but the determination was quite evident in her tone. She fixed her school bag on her shoulders, faltering her uniform skirt before looking at her sister with soft eyes. Her face was still swollen from her heavy crying mess, and Nari doesn't think it would flex anytime soon.
"Good luck honey, and.. I'm really sorry," Chearim hugged Nari so tightly her bones could have cracked if it wasn't by the heavy bones a hybrid have. It was almost ironic how they were built as strong beast with strong immune system, but have the weakest and kindest hearts.
"It's okay, i'll make sure everything turns perfect,"

The school was almost normal, the same boring design and the same boring order. It wasn't really something she looked up for, but math is her favorite subject in the world, and if there was math in her school she would even wake up four AM just to attend that class. It's crazy how the most hated subject is her strength point.
People did stare, as always. The powerful aura was radiating from them over sixty miles away. Students who were in their classes where even able to detect their dangerous aura. It was almost impossible not to. Some students had parted their ways for the two girls to walk through, and even though Chearim really appreciates and loves the attention, she couldn't find it in her to enjoy it this time, especially since her sister was not okay.
Nari was looking at the ground, not out of fear of gossip, but because she didn't find the mood to indulge herself in such absurdity as whispers and plain gossip, she had so much more important things to do than that.
"Hey Nari, my way is over there. Would you be okay by yourself?" Chearim stopped in her walks to point at the other side o
