February 14^th has finally arrived. The sweet scent of love is spreading all over the world. Not forgetting Seungcheol and Jihoon of course. Seungcheol took a day off today. He planned to make some sweets, his specialty, for the special occasion. The problem is… He doesn’t have the ingredients.

He woke up to the silent living room and rushed to the bathroom. After a while, he got dressed in comfortable white tee and jeans. Not forgetting his white Nike sneakers. He grabs his jacket and personal belongings and heads out of his apartment. Grocery hunting time for Seungcheol.

Long story short, Seungcheol arrived at a supermarket and starts his hunt. He took out a piece of paper with ingredients written on it. He grabs the trolley and roams around the supermarket. All of a sudden, his phone vibrated. He grabs his phone and smiled. It’s a call from his pet, Jihoon.

“Good morning, Jihoon.”

“Master? Where are you?”

“I’m in the supermarket. Do you want me to get you something?”

“Uh… No, thanks, Master Seungcheol.”

“Why did you call me? Are you scared to be left alone, kitten?”

“Geez, I was just wondering. That’s all.”

“Liar. I know you’re worried.”

“Whatever you say, Master Seungcheol.”

“Alright then. Talk to you later, cutie. Bye~”

“Bye.”

And the phone call ended. Seungcheol let out a small smile and puts back his phone in his pocket. He chuckled.

‘What a cute kitten.’ He thought. He resumed his scavenger hunt and within an hour, he returns back home.

Seungcheol pressed the numbers of his apartment’s password. He entered and giggled as he saw Jihoon’s sleeping figure lying on the couch. He was all curled up in his blue blanket. Not forgetting his Pororo plushie locked in his petite arms. Seungcheol managed to capture the adorable sleeping kitten before he continued his way to the kitchen.

‘My new wallpaper.’ Seungcheol said proudly. He placed the groceries and starts taking out the cooking tools and trays. Once everything is all set, Seungcheol went to wake up his adorable pet. He walked towards the couch and lightly shook Jihoon’s frail torso.

“Jihoon-ah, wake up! You said you wanted to make treats with me.” Seungcheol whined. Jihoon let out a low groan in respond.

“I’m sleepy.” Jihoon said drowsily. Seungcheol doesn’t comply. He shook Jihoon’s body harder.

“Jihoon-ah, come on. The chocolate is going to melt if we don’t make it now.” Seungcheol said. He lied. The chocolate was as hard as a rock. Blame Seungcheol for being so overly attached to his pet.

“Alright, alright. Geez…” Jihoon finally said. He took off his blanket and rubs his eyes. Seungcheol grinned at the cute actions Jihoon made. Everything about Jihoon will always look cute in Seungcheol’s eyes. Even if he is a little bit feisty at times. Jihoon looked up at his master as his lips form a pout. Seungcheol couldn’t help but squeal at Jihoon’s actions.

“Jihoon-ah! Why are you so adorable?” Seungcheol said as he hugged his pet tightly and starts pinching his cheeks.

“Ow! Ow! Not so hard, Master Seungcheol.” Jihoon snapped. Seungcheol moved his hands away. He knew that Jihoon might bite him if he continued doing so. Well, it’s not like Seungcheol hated it. But it’s better safe than sorry.

“Alright! Now that you’re awake, why don’t we start cooking?” Seungcheol grinned. Jihoon pouted, again.

“But I haven’t even showered yet, Master Seungcheol.” Jihoon whined as his ears droop. Seungcheol let out a happy chuckle.

“Then go shower. I’ll prepare the basics.” Seungcheol stated.

“What are we going to make today, Master Seungcheol?” Jihoon asked a he played with this tail.

“A lot of things. Trust me, you’ll like it.” Seungcheol said with a wink.

“Will you make that Rice Krispies treat again, Master? I really liked that one.” Jihoon beamed. The older gave a nod in response.

“You mean the one that looked like a Christmas tree? I don’t see why not. But maybe we’ll do a heart shape for today.” Seungcheol explained. “Alright, now you go shower. I’ll start working on the first steps. Understood?”

“Yes, Master Seungcheol!” Jihoon said. He then rushed to his room and grabbed his towel before heading to the bathroom. Seungcheol, like he said, returned to the kitchen and starts working on the basics.

After an hour or so, Seungcheol and Jihoon starts their cooking date. Seungcheol had everything planned. He even asked his fellow workmate, Seokmin, to recommend some drinks for the event. Having Seokmin as a friend who works as a barista is a huge advantage indeed.

“Alright. How about we go make that Rice Krispies treat you like first?” Seungcheol asked. Jihoon’s eyes grew wide as he flashes a toothy smile and nods.

“Yes please! What should I do first, Master?” Jihoon said.

“You can go grab the Rice Krispies. Separate them into two bowls and add 3 drops of red in one of them.” Seungcheol said as he hands a tube of red food coloring. Jihoon took it. He stared at it confusingly.

“Master, you put paint in your food? Isn’t it poisonous? Are you trying to kill people?” Jihoon asked. Seungcheol laughed at the latter’s words.

“Jihoon, this is food coloring. It isn’t poisonous because it is invented for food. Some of them even have flavors and scents. This one has a strawberry scent.” Seungcheol said. Jihoon nodded as he listens to his master. He started doing the task his master gave him. Seungcheol, on the other hand, is making some marshmallow fluff for the treat.

Several minutes later, Seungcheol is done with the mixture. So does Jihoon. Jihoon grabbed the red colored cereals and showed it to Seungcheol.

“Is this enough, Master Seungcheol?” Jihoon asked. Seungcheol nodded. He gave a pat on his pet’s head.

“That’s right. You did a great job, Jihoonie.” Seungcheol smiled. Jihoon flashed his eyesmile and let out a small giggle.

“What should I do next, Master Seungcheol?” Jihoon asked.

“You can hand me the cereals now. I’ll mix it with this marshmallow fluff. You can cut it with this cookie cutter later.” Seungcheol grinned. Jihoon nodded at his master’s instructions. He puts in the cereals as what he was told. He watched Seungcheol do his trick in awe.

After a while, the treats are served. Jihoon is all worn out from the cooking. Seungcheol could see it.

“Jihoon-ah, are you tired? You could rest for a bit. I’ll make the drinks.” Seungcheol said as he pet Jihoon’s head. Jihoon let out a soft purr as he rubs his eyes.

“Hng… May I, Master Seungcheol?” Jihoon looks at the taller with half lidded eyes. Seungcheol nodded.

“Go ahead. I’ll bring the treats when it’s done.” Seungcheol said. With that, Jihoon left the kitchen and dozes off to the couch and switches on the TV.

Treats are all set. Seungcheol made his famous rice krispies treat, cake pops, and a new addition to the menu, chocolate barks. It was a Seungcheol original. He’s thinking to add that treat to the menu, or maybe as a simple decorations on his cakes. As for the drinks, Seungcheol isn’t that good. He grabbed his phone and browsed through his contacts. Searching for the name ‘Seokmin’. He dialed it as soon as he found it.

“Seokmin-ah! I need your help!”

“Hey there, hyung. What can I help you with?”

“I’m making some treats right here. The drink is the only thing left.”

“That sounds awesome. What are you going to make, hyung?”

“Strawberry Nutella milkshake sounds like a good drink for today.”

“It is indeed. You’re making it for two, right?”

“Well, duh? What are the ingredients?”

“You’ll need half cup of milk, half cup of strawberries, 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream, quarter cup of Nutella, and… Whip cream and sprinkles. It’s optional.”

“Alright. So… I just mix all of it at the same time?”

“Whoop. Not so fast, hyung. Just mix everythin except the Nutella, whipped cream, and sprinkles.”

“Then where should I put the Nutella?”

“Just put it in the serving glass. Then you pour the milkshake and add some whip cream and sprinkles. That’s pretty much it.”

“Noted. Thanks a lot, Seokmin.”

“Anytime, hyung!”

They hung up. Seungcheol followed the directions like how he was told. When it finished, it turns out pretty great. Everything is ready to be served. Seungcheol took a tray and served the whole treat and milkshake. He walked to the living room.

“Jihoon-ah, the treats are ready.” Seungcheol beamed as he took a seat next to Jihoon and places the tray of sweets on the table. Jihoon stares at the treats in awe.

“Woah~ They look good!” Jihoon grinned as he took a piece of cake pop and eats it happily. Seungcheol spent his day off bonding with his pet kitten. Jihoon was happy. So does Seungcheol. They continued spending their time by watching TV. They would sometimes talk about their friends. Jihoon would talk about the cat gang. And Seungcheol would talk about the humans.

Hours pass by and Jihoon is still craving for sweets. The remaining ones left are the chocolate barks. He finds the treat slightly odd. It was cut in to 5 irregular shapes. But it looks appetizing. Then again, Jihoon couldn’t help but noticed that there were letters written on the barks. He glanced at his sleeping master and takes a look at the barks. He grabbed the plate and reads the words written on it.

“Jihoon…” 1^st bark.

“Will…” 2^nd bark.

“You..” 3^rd bark.

“Be…” 4^th bark.

“Mine?” 5^th bark. Jihoon was speechless. He was so occupied in the cooking that he didn’t even have time to notice his master’s work. Jihoon shook Seungcheol’s body. Seungcheol got up immediately. His eyes widened as he saw his pet’s eyes. It was glistening with tears.

“Master Seungcheol? D-Did you made this?” Jihoon asked as he points to the treat. Seungcheol smiled.

“I’m glad you noticed. And … Yes. I made it. What’s your answer, Jihoonie?” Seungcheol tilted his head as he stares into Jihoon’s eyes deeply.

“…Yes?” Jihoon answered shyly. Seungcheol giggled.

“I can’t hear you, kitten.” Seungcheol teased. Jihoon blushed at his master’s attitude.

“Yes, Master Seungcheol! I would love to be yours.” Jihoon blurted out.

“Took you forever to say that.” Seungcheol chuckled as he leans close to Jihoon and plants a soft and soothing kiss on Jihoon’s lips. Jihoon shuts his eyes and complies with his master. They pulled away and stares into each other deeply.

“You’re mine, Jihoon. Now and forever.”
