I felt a pat on my left shoulder. Yay, Sungjong finally came back with my ice cream!

I immediately got off the swing and stood up and unconsciously hugged the male figure, which I assumed was Sungjong, tightly.

You’re the only one who cares about me… Thank you for ditching school for me-again. ¨Thanks for the ice cream, Jongie!¨ I released my tight grip finding myself standing in front of none other than Nam Woohyun. Feeling quite embarrassed, I avoided eye contact with him and awkwardly retreated back on the swing with my back facing him. ¨So what are you doing here, Woohyun-sii?¨

¨I came to go look for you.¨ He replied.

¨Oh.¨ I said plainly hiding my beating heart.

¨Are you okay?¨

¨Yes. I said I was fine earlier and I am fine now. No need to worry about me.¨

¨Is that so? Well just making sure. See ya.¨ He said sadly. I could hear his steps fading behind me. Why am I always pushing people away?

¨Wait, Woohyun!¨ Right at that moment, I got off the swing and turned to see where Woohyun was heading to. Noticing that he was walking back to the high school, I quickly caught up to him and asked, ¨Instead of going back to school, why not hang out with me and Sungjong?¨

Woohyun halted and turned to face me with a shocked expression. ¨Me? With you and that friends of yours? No thanks.¨

¨What’s wrong with Sungjong? His sassiness may make him intimidating, but it will soon fade after-¨

¨After what Nari?¨ asked a familiar voice.

¨Sungjongie!¨ I yelped in joy. I hugged him and grabbed the cone with my favorite ice cream flavor, super fudgy marble fudge, out of his right hand. ¨Thanks! Let’s get going now!¨ I linked my arms to the two guys, my left with Woohyun and the other with Sungjong. All this happened too fast that I didn't notice that the two guys were no longer linked to my arms.

“What? Oh come on you guys. Both of you ditched school just to be with me. It’d be a waste of your time and effort you invested on me to make sure I am fine.¨ I pouted as silence filled the Woohyun and Sungjong glaring contest. Couple of minutes have passed and none of them budged from their spots. ¨I see how it is. Well see ya tomorrow...¨

I began walking away with my ice cream and felt disappointed that neither of the boys were going after me. As I was about to turn the corner of the street, I looked behind me and saw the two whispering to each other discreetly. I stared at the two for a couple of seconds and went back to walking towards my second place in the world, the library. As my mood slightly brightened, I finished my ice cream and started to daydream about Eric Nam serenading me. ¨I’m your sunshine that shines through the day~~¨ I hummed.

Yet, being uncautious of my surroundings, a hand covered a mouth. ¨Wha- ah- ya- do- AHHH!¨ I yelled as loud as I can. I should have known that I was a potential target for a e. He or she might’ve mistaken me as a child because I was a) still wearing my school uniform b) had some ice cream around my mouth and c) I was petite for my age. Figuring out a plan of survival, I suddenly smelled a scent that I am too familiar with on the so called ¨e’s¨ hand which was lemon vanilla. So this is how you will comfort me, huh Sungjong? Trying to kidnap me? Such a weird boy. Well to be exact, a weird and stupid boy. Since both of my hands were free, I simply tickled Sungjong’s tummy from behind. Before I knew it, I was able to breath fresh air and not some weird combination of lemon with vanilla. I turned to face Sungjong who was calming down after my tickle attack on him.

¨O-okay Nari. You got me..¨ panted Sungjong.

¨What the heck were you doing?¨ I asked.

¨Just wanted to see if you were still emotionless. But since you reacted, you’re definitely more fine. ¨

¨A best friend won’t try and kidnap their best friend, stupid. What’s the real reason?¨

¨That is the reason. I-I’m telling you the truth.¨

¨Then look me in the eyes.¨ I ordered. It was so obvious that Sungjong was lying
