“what?...” I whispered to him.

His words were so confusing and his sad expression only made things worse.

Hanbin pushed himself off the bed slowly and stood in front of me. Even in the darkness I could see how hurt he looked and it pained me.

“Minj…” he spoke so slowly

“hanbin… what’s going on? Why are you saying that? Y-you can’t be with me?” saying it out loud made it sting so much more.

Hanbin began to walk further and further away from the bed, slowly disappearing into the darkness. He was backing away without giving me an explanation and I refused to let him leave.

I got out of bed and ran up towards him, pushing him against the wall closest to him and forcing him to explain. There was no way I’d let him leave like this.

We’d been through too much to get here and I wouldn’t allow it all to end with his ty, vague comments.

He didn’t refuse the push nor did he refuse the grip I had on his shirt. He just stared at me with a pitifully sad expression and that’s what scared me the most.
