It's been a week since we had that gathering. I didnt tell Hiyori about my random meetup with Mino, i know for a fact she'd blow it out of proportion. And i also hadnt encountered Hanbin either. I mean i'd see him occasionally waiting outside our uni in his car for Nari, but i made sure not to make any eye contact or cause any issues. 
I was done playing games. 

[ wanna grab lunch? ] Hiyori had sent a text 

I looked at it with a smile [ sure! i'll pay! ]

"ughh chem is LITERALLY killing me this semester, i dont get it Minj! I just dont get it!" Hiyori whined and pouted as she placed her head on the table and pretended to cry 

Her reaction made me laugh, "if you need help, you know you can always ask me" 

"really?? There's a lot i dont get though, i dont know if you'll wanna waste all that time on me! Especially since  we have exams next week!" I couldnt say no to her, she meant more to me than any exam i'd ever write 

"dont worry, im already ahead in a couple classes!" i lied but i made sure she didnt notice. 

"sweet!! I love youuuu!" Hiyori tugged on my jacket and pulled me in for a tight hug 

"ouch hiyori! that's too tight!!" i whined as i pulled away 

"oh ! i totally forgot!" She held up my wrist to look at the healing cut, "im glad your face cleared up though..... just imagine if your face was permanently scarred!" she let out a fake shiver, "i'd actually be concerned about you finding a hubby then!" she started to laugh at her own joke 

I flicked her forehead in annoyance

"OUCH! it was a jokeeee! A joke Minj! Gosh did Nari knock the fun out of you too??" she snatched her drink from the table and took a sip through her straw 

I let out a light laugh before taking a sip of my own drink. 

"alright, let's go back loser. We have that music class to attend!" I gathered my books from the table and got up as i watched Hiyori whine once more 

"ughhhhh remind me why we took that course again???" 

"maybe because we need an elective to pass uni?" i laughed as i tugged on her jacket to pull her out of her chair 

"ugh i hate uni" Hiyori said as she grabbed her bag and got up

"you can say that again" i replied

"that class wasnt too bad!" Hiyori and i were walking back to my place now 

"lol says the one who slept through it all!" i playfully hit her shoulder 

"i cant help it Minj! So we're going to your place to study right?" Hiyori put her hands in her pockets as we walked to my apartment 

"yupp! Hopefully you learn a thing or two about chem!" i joked 

We had left the school premises now. Almost everyone was leaving to get home and study since our exams were starting next week. Truthfully i was a bit nervous than usual for these exams. I mean i did understand the material but something felt off and i just had a bad feeling about it all. 

"!" I gasped and froze in my footsteps. hiyori notices a few steps after that i had stopped moving and turned around to see me covering my mouth. 

"what's wrong??" she asked 

"i need to get the bio book from the library!!" i looked at my watch to check the time, "i think i still have time to grab it! I'll meet u at my place ok?? i gotta go!" I bolted to the direction we were walking away from and ran to the library. 

I made my way to the library, gasping for air as i noticed the librarian closing the door. 

".... noooo!" i bolted to the door and propped it open before she could close it, "i just need 5 minutes ma'am" i pleaded

If it was anyone else, she probably would have said no. But i'd been volunteering at the library for quite some time now and i knew that would win her over. 

I quickly grabbed my book and made my way to the her so she could scan it out for me.

"Thank you ma'am!" i bowed before i left

I was so lucky to get the book just now. There was an announcement that the library would be closing for the next week so if i didnt get it today, i wouldnt have it for the exam. 
I pulled my backpack up as it was slipping and started to walk to my apartment. 

"gosh there is so much to know" i said to myself as i flipped through the pages of the book

"woah watch where you're going!" I looked up from my book at an annoyed student whom i almost bumped into

"oh sorry!" i apologized before digging myself back into the next chapter of the textbook 

"so C3 plants and C4 plants are different due to the way they transport carbon into their carbon cycle" i looked up to the sky and reread the sentence to understand it 

"ok ok i guess that makes sense..... The stomata is a pore in the leaves that opens the same time as photosynthesis occurs and is coupled with water loss.... that's why C3 plants arent so good in drought tolerant are---" 

As i was walking i accidentally bumped into someone else. My book fell to the floor as i tried to manage my footing. I then realized the person was holding a drink and it had also fallen to the ground. 

"oh my God im so sorry, i should have been looking where i was going" i grabbed my textbook from the floor and the cup that was on the ground as well

"you really havent changed have you" 

I looked up to the sound of his voice and matched it to his face

"mino...w-what are you doing here..." i asked with caution as i pushed my glasses up to my eyes so i'd get a better look at him 

"i was just on a walk. It's funny how we keep bumping into each other uh?" he laughed as he looked at his shirt that had been ruined by the drink i accidentally spilled on him 

"oh gosh, im so sorry! Here let me clean that for you" i grabbed some tissues from my backpack and stepped closer to him as i started t
