Christmas One Shots

Junhui, Minghao

Junhui was staring out his bedroom window. He could see almost all the people passing by, most of them are lovers and are very closely to each other. He misses his family in China, and although he sometimes goes back to China as he has some obligations there, it’s still not the same.

Minghao was walking back to his room when he saw Junhui sulking by the window.

“Gege, why are you sad?” Minghao asked the sulking Junhui.

“it’s nothing didi, I’m just feeling a little homesick,” Junhui replied.

Minghao doesn’t want to see Junhui’s sad face so as he was walking back to his room, he tried to think of a plan to make a smile on Junhui’s face. When he reached his room, he saw Seungkwan and Seokmin playing video games. He decided to ask the two of them if they knew what he has to do to make Junhui smile.

“Seungkwan-ah, Seokmin-ah, are you two busy?” Minghao asked hesitantly.

“Oh, Myungho-hyung! We aren’t that busy! Do you need anything?” Seungkwan said, turning to him as he finished pausing the video game.

“I just want to ask what you usually do when you celebrate Christmas?” Minghao asked the two.

“Oh, nothing much, before we usually eat out and just spend time together. How about you Seokmin-hyung?” Seungkwan said.

“Just like what Seungkwan said, we eat out and just talk with each other. Why do you ask Myungho-ah?” Seokmin asked the Chinese cutie.

“Nothing. Just don’t mind me. Thank you! You should go back to your game, bye!” Minghao said while promptly going out of their room. What they said didn’t give him much ideas so he decided to just wing it.

He went back to Junhui’s room to persuade the older to go out with him.

“Gege, will you mind if we go out tonight? Since both of us has nothing better to do?”  Minghao asked.

“Where will we be going?” Junhui asked back.

“Just walk around? Go to a convenience store and buy some triangle kimbap?” Minghao suggested.

“Okay, just let me get dressed first. It’s too cold outside for just thin sweaters,” Junhui said.

After Junhui got dressed, they went outside and walk around. Both wore thick coats and mufflers and had their face mask on so that they won’t be recognized by their fans. They walked quite a bit before they spotted a café. They went inside and ordered quickly before going to the most secluded part of the café.

“Gege, what do you usually do with your family during Christmas?” Minghao asked.

“I usually spend the days with my friends, hanging out at the park when I don’t have work, then dinner with my family. Why?” Junhui asked.

“Well, you know how we usually don’t celebrate Christmas right? So I want to know how most people would celebrate it,” Minghao replied.

There was a moment of comfortable silence as they continued to wait for their orders. They just talk about everything under the sun, and when their orders came, Minghao went to get it.

They went back to talking as they drank their hot drinks until a few hours passed. They didn’t notice the time escaping them until a staff from the café requested them to leave as it was their closing time already. When they got outside of the café, they both decided to just go home as they have to get up early because their rehearsals would start early.

When they got back to the dorm, most of the members are already back, so they decided to just chill first at Junhui’s room.

“Ge ge, do you still miss your family? Are you still feeling homesick?” Minghao asked the older.

“Wait, did we do all those thing earlier because I said I was homesick earlier?” Junhui asked back. He finally connected the dots: of how Minghao randomly asked him to hang out today, why all the questions earlier, and their long talk at the café.

“Umm… Yeah, because you look so sad earlier, I just can’t help it,” Minghao said while blushing a deep red.

“Aww, come here, Minghao,” Junhui said to the younger and enveloped him in a hug. “Dojeh, Minghao. Ngo oi neih,” The older whispered on the younger’s ears.

“What did you say, ge ge?” Minghao asked cutely.

          “Nothing, Minghao. Merry Christmas!”

A/N:

So I was supposed to upload this yesterday, but my cousin was playing on my laptop and accidentally deleted all of my one shots, so i have to start from the very beginning. I kind of forgot what I wrote for the China line so I made a new one. Hope it's not too boring. The honorifics that they used were mandarin, what Junhui said in the last part was in Cantonese so that's why Minghao didn't understand it. here's the translation of what they said:

Ge ge-Older brother

di di-Younger brother

Dojeh-Thank you when receiving a gift.

Ngo oi neih- I love you
