Krystal stares blankly at the white ceiling, thinking. Somehow, her head cant still wrap itself up to the fact that she’s going to live and work in that mansion from now on.  It still feels surreal though, its like one minute, she’s a waiter from that small restaurant down the alley and now she’s a chambermaid to one of the richest men in their countries; and she doesn’t know exactly how to feel about that.

Sighing, she pushes herself up to sit and her eye catches her untouched luggage on the floor. “This is it.” She tells herself as she drags her feet to open her luggage. She didn’t know how long she’ll be staying in the mansion so she brought almost all her clothes and only left some things back in their house for her to use when she goes back for her days off.

She couldn’t help but to think about her brother. It wasn’t even a day that she left their house but she misses her brother already. Despite him giving her such a burden, she still loves him nonetheless. She can only hope that her brother will be okay and wont be doing anything wrong while she’s gone.

“Well, atleast he’s trying to change.” Krystal tries to convince herself not to worry too much about her brother.

She finishes organizing her things on her cabinet and she tries to make herself feel at home as she scans her room. “This is home now.” She tells herself before sitting on the edge of her bed.

Then there was a knock, and Krystal rushes to open the door to see Taeyeon standing awkwardly in front of her.

The Head Butler greets her with a smile, “Hi.”

She returns the favor by smiling just as brightly. “Hi. You need something?”

“Actually, I was going to offer you some help..” Taeyeon peeks inside her room and notices the luggage empty, “but seems like youre already done.” The butler smiles again. “Anyway, Mr. Liu wants to see you in her office.”

“Now?” She asks and the butler replies her with “Whenever youre ready. I’ll wait for you out here.” Taeyeon then takes a step back and stands awkwardly there.

She then changes her clothes as quickly as she can, not wanting to make Taeyeon wait so much.

“What is he like? Mr. Liu’s son, I mean.” She couldn’t help but ask. She heard that the butler have worked in Mr. Liu’s family for years and have been Eunyoung’s friend since they were kids, atleast that’s what one of the butlers have told her.

“I can tell you a lot of things about him, but Im not going to.” She looks at Taeyeon with a creased eyebrow. “Won’t it be interesting for you to find out yourself?”

Krystal huffs and makes a face that made Taeyeon laugh. “Youre cute.” She couldn’t help but blush at the simple compliment.

Its not like Krystal hadn’t been around boys, in fact, boys in her school fights over for her attention, its just that she’s too busy studying and working that she has no time to even appreciate the opposite gender. The last time she ever did had a crush on a boy was six years ago, when the first installment of Harry Potter movies was launched.  And now, being surrounded by beautiful guys, she cant help but feel a little bit overwhelmed.

That made her wonder though, the whole mansion was full of men who were as beautiful, if not more, as her. She was sure that if those men would only wear a wig and dress like a girl, they’d pass as one. They’re too beautiful to be a man, and she finds it weird; a house without a single woman in it. Well now they do, they have her now.

“We’re here.” Taeyeon announces before knocking on the door. He then ushers her inside before leaving her alone with the man she owes hers and her brother’s life with.

“Sit Miss Jung.” She did what she’s told, sitting in one of the available chairs in front of her. “Im sorry about dinner. I had to take an important call.”

“No, its okay sir. I know youre a busy man.”

“And Im sorry about my son. He usually doesn’t miss dinner.” She was about to say that it was okay and they don’t need to have dinner with her because she’s only their chambermaid but she didn’t have a chance when Mr. Liu continued talking “But anyway, Im assuming youre already acquainted with everyone.” She nods her head at that.

Earlier, when Mr. Liu excused himself to take the call, Taeyeon and the rest of the butlers working in the house came out from the kitchen carrying a plate each. They told her they were instructed to eat together with her. That was a relief though. She really thought she’s going to eat with Mr. Liu and his son alone.

While they were eating, everyone introduced themselves to her and they all made her feel at home; as if she had just gained more brothers in one night.

“I probably should warn you about my son though..” Mr. Liu’s words were interrupted as the door opens and someone blurts out profanities. “Damn it Dad. You’ve brought another girl in this house? Again? When are you going to learn that…” Krystal turns her head a little too late when all she had was a glimpse of a shadow before the door closed.

“He has a bit of a temper.” Mr. Liu finishes as he massages his temple.

Now she somehow understands why no woman works for them. The temperamental young master probably scared them away, and truth be told, she’s not sure how long she’ll last in the Liu’s mansion either. She’ll probably end up leaving as well and her brother will probably rot in jail instead.
