I would like to dedicate this chapter to hiyoriiki.

“Hey Yoongi,” the voice of Seokjin came from across the blonde within the dinner booth. The blonde had zoned out while watching his new… he still didn’t have a word to describe Jimin and made a note to have a talk with the boy about it. Said boy had been feeding Yoongi’s daughter ever since they sat down. Occasionally he would steal a piece of Yoongi’s food, eating it slowly while locking eyes with the elder. Otherwise he was talking to Areum about her favorite toys, dances, or whatever she wanted to talk about. However, she was often distracted by Taehyung who seemed to be able to easily follow the 2 year old’s thought process. When these distractions occurred, the brunette would normally talk to Jungkook or Hoseok, occasionally holding a conversation with Yoongi.

“Namjoon and I are going to take Areum to the beach like we planned. You can spend the day with Jimin if you’d like,” the eldest said, eyes boring straight into Yoongi’s soul and the blonde knew there was no room to argue.

“Ok,” he said uninterestedly as he turned back to his food. Well, empty container, considering he had just finished his food and now only had his water left. He looked around and noticed everyone was in a similar state.

“Areu~mah,” called Namjoon after following Seokjin’s lead and standing. “Come to Papa Nam, we are going to go to the beach? Ok?”

“Asa!” the little girl cried excitedly. She giggled very loudly when she was handed to Namjoon by Jimin. The man set her down and grabbed her hand. The couple and the little girl said their goodbyes to their friends; Areum blowing a kiss to her father and waving ferociously to Jimin.

“Don’t let her get to close to the water! Always keep your eyes on her and be careful!” Yoongi called to his best friends’ backs and received a hand waving in the air dismissively from Seokjin. Yoongi rubbed his face with his hands and sighed. It was his little girl, he was allowed to worry.

“Jungkookie, since Jimin is ditching me tonight, do you want to come over and watch that new horror movie about the computer?” Taehyung asked the boy sitting beside him.

“New? Tae, that came out a month ago,” the youngest said, able to translate Taehyung’s strange language. “But yea, I’ll come over.”

The two quickly stood up and made their way toward the exit.

“I’m not ditching you by the way, Tae!” Jimin called out to his best friend and was very obviously ignored.

“Well, I hate being a third wheel so I am out of here. Goodbye you lovely people. Remember, don’t be a prick and cover your ,” with that said Hoseok quickly bolted from his seat, narrowly missing Yoongi’s grasp and laughing maniacally at Jimin’s red face.

“On that note, whatever note that may be, we have been strategically left alone. So going with that, what would you like to do?” Yoongi said, sitting back in his seat sipping at the rest of his water.

“We could go for a walk,” Jimin said, but immediately took back the offer when he saw the glare Yoongi sent him. “Or not… We could go somewhere and talk. I would like to know more about you,” after saying this, Jimin was unable to meet the blonde’s eyes and his ears started turning pink.

“Yea,” Yoongi said quietly, staring into his cup. “Yea, let’s do that. We could go to my place… or whatever. Your choice. Doesn’t matter to me,” he said, rambling just a little bit. But not too much. Min Yoongi does not ramble.

“Yea,” Jimin said, nodding his agreement. “Yea. Ok. Okay. Yea, that. Come on,” he said, pushing slightly on Yoongi’s thigh to get him to scoot out of the booth. The blonde swallowed thickly and stood up. They tossed their trash and Jimin grabbed the elder’s hand hesitantly. Said man intertwined their fingers in a sigh of acceptance.

Jimin led the blonde to the closest parking garage where he said his car was parked. Yoongi, out of habit, walked toward the elevator, but was stopped by Jimin tugging him through the door to the stairwell. This earned the boy many grumbles about exercise and how it is “bad for my soul”, or so Yoongi says.

“Hyung, one flight of stairs is not going to kill you,” the younger said, already tugging the blonde up the stairs. Jimin wasn’t kidding when he said one flight of stairs, they reached the first landing and he opened the door to the level.

The pair made their way to Jimin’s car and then were off to Yoongi’s apartment, the elder didn’t even need to give directions; Jimin had memorized the way. After the two arrived and signed Jimin into the guest parking permits, Yoongi found them standing awkwardly in the elevator heading to the top floor. It was like a déjà vu moment of the night before. And just like last night, Yoongi took this time to truly appreciate Jimin’s attire. Before, he couldn’t focus on it because he was too distracted by his daughter interacting with the boy. Now, though, now he was able to truly appreciate the tight shorts the dancer was wearing. They were pulled tight right over the boy’s thighs, but were loose just about everywhere else. The flannel jacket that he had put on in the student center ( air conditioning, Yoongi had thought) was back to being tied around his small waist. This meant the tank top he was wearing was able to properly display the boy’s biceps and collarbone and boy would Yoongi love to leave marks all over that col- no. No. Stop. Yoongi berated himself. Slow. So very slow. That would be the pace of this. Whatever this is.

Despite his mind’s tangent, Yoongi couldn’t help but notice the appearance of the two of them standing side by side in the mirrored elevator door. He may be a hair taller than the younger, but he was so much smaller otherwise. He was in no way fat, but he wasn’t nearly as muscular as the boy. And it showed. His short sleeved shirt was able to prove this by showing off his arms that were a fraction of the thickness of Jimin’s. God, the elder thought, I look so lanky next to him. He briefly wondered if he should start going to the gym, but decided against it because who has time for that.

The elevator finally arrived at their destination and Yoongi entered the passcode to the only apartment on the floor.

“Damn,” Jimin said with a low whistle after taking off his shoes, “I knew Seokjin had nice taste, but I never expected this,” he said as he walked through the living room and directly up to the wall of windows.

Yoongi didn’t say anything, but instead opted to sit on the couch, his head resting on the back and his body more or less splayed out. He didn’t so much as watch with his eyes, but more with his ears as Jimin made his way to sit on the couch as well. When he felt the plush dip beside him, he lulled his head in the direction of the boy and cracked his eyes open. Jimin looked so at home and so natural in his home that Yoongi wanted to ask the boy to move in with him immediately. WHOA, Yoongi berated himself, That is the EXACT opposite of slow. Slow mother er, slow.

The younger boy was essentially sitting cross legged, however, one foot was pressed into the couch with his knee toward the ceiling. He was holding his leg with his arm and leaning his head against his hand. He look so cute and childish and innocent that it took the elder’s breath away.

“What’s your favorite animal?” Jimin asked suddenly.

It was so sudden that Yoongi barely thought before he said, “Turtle.”

“Why?” the boy asked, tilting his head to the side out of curiosity.

“Because, they are slow yet determined, just like me. I am lazy, but I always get my way, even out of sheer determination,” at this Jimin chuckled quietly.

“I didn’t ask your spirit animal, although it is good to know. I asked your favorite animal.”

“Isn’t a spirit animal the same thing as a favorite animal?” Yoongi asked, his brow knitted together in confusion.

Jimin giggled and shook his head rapidly, “Definitely not. Take me for example. My spirit animal is a dolphin while my favorite animal is a cat. A dolphin represents me, but I love cats. Two very different things.”

“Why a dolphin?” Yoongi asked, a little concerned over such a random animal.

“For many many complicated reasons. However, to keep it simple, the shortest answer is they are playful and energetic like me,” Jimin said, giggling.

“Ok. Anyways, I guess a turtle is my spirit animal and… my favorite animal is Welsh Corgi because their tiny legs are the cutest,” Yoongi couldn’t contain his smile as Jimin burst into a fit of giggles.

“Well, I think your legs are the cutest,” Jimin said with a wiggle of his eyebrows after he reigned in his giggles.

“Okay, whoa. I met you not even a week ago. I am trying to pace myself here, can you slow the down? Ok? Ok,” Yoongi said, holding his hand out in a ‘stop’ motion.

“Ok, I’m sorry. I just feels like I have known you forever. Who knows? Maybe you are my soulmate or something like that. My name isn’t tattooed on your body somewhere by chance is it?” Jimin said, a giggle slipping out as though he thought he was the funniest person on earth.

Yoongi groaned and closed his eyes, making a face of obvious pain. “Pleeaase tell me you do not read those stupid soulmate stories online. I have somehow accidentally stumbled on some stupid fanfiction written about EXO and soulmates and tattoos. If you believe some like that is real, I am sorry, but you must leave my house at this very moment,” the blonde said, cracking one eye open to gauge the younger’s reaction. The reaction of course was a dramatic as Yoongi had hoped. The brunette burst into a fit of full body laughs, clapping his hands like a seal and Yoongi believes if the boy wasn’t already sitting he would be falling over.

“Hyung, I didn’t think you were the type to read fanfiction,” Jimin said after calming a little, only to start laughing again at his joke. “But no, I do not believe in soulmates of the tattoo or marking sort. I do believe that there are some people on this earth that are destined to meet and be together. Whether as lovers, friends, or enemies, it is meant to happen sometimes,” Jimin said, all of a sudden very serious.

Yoongi couldn’t help but agree with Jimin. Every time he looked at his daughter, that is how he felt. His history was destined to happen. It brought him the greatest gift he could ever ask for, of course it was meant to happen.

“Ok, so on a very very very serious note, although it may not sound like it, I need to make sure of something. I have had nasty jokes played on me and I can’t do it again. So,” Jimin paused, taking a deep breath, “You are gay right?”

Yoongi knew Jimin said on a very serious note. He knew he shouldn’t joke around. He knew Jimin would react negatively. He did not know, however, that tears would begin to form in the boy’s eyes when he said no. He immediately rushed to being away from Jimin’s face by mere inches. He grasped the boy’s cheeks in his palms and quickly said, “Hey whoa whoa no. I am not straight either. I am panual. I couldn’t give a flying what your gender is. I like you, ok? You would know if I didn’t. And if you don’t believe just know that you would have had a broken jaw after that move you pulled last night if I didn’t like you.” Finally Jimin seemed to relax and giggle a little bit at Yoongi’s sorta threat thing.

“Good to know,” Jimin said, calming down drastically and staring into the older’s eyes. The latter soon realized where he was and quickly moved away.

The two did not let that little misunderstanding get in the way of their conversation, however, and continued to talk for an hour and a half. They talked about anything they could think of that they didn’t already know about each other. It was during these two hours that Yoongi learned his first requester a few nights ago was Jungkook, but he didn’t have the balls to request Yoongi’s original work so he opted for his favorite song instead. Then came Taehyung who actually made the call for a pricey cost of an entire months of laundry, dishes, and dusting duties at their apartment. Yoongi could not stop laughing when he found this out because “who trades house work for a single question” and received an irritated “I don’t know why I idolized you” from Jimin.

After talking for a while, Yoongi had a sudden idea. He stood up abruptly, earning questioning looks from the younger boy. The blonde walked briskly into his room and CD that was on his shelf. He returned just as quickly as he left, but instead of returning to his seat, he made a b-line for his stereo and put in the CD. He turned the volume up to a level that would accentuate the song that was about to play, yet not disturb the neighbors too much. Not that he cared. It was only around 5 in the evening and no one really complains about penthouse apartments anyway. He returned to his spot on the couch and closed his eyes. Not quite able to look at the younger boy with what was about to happen.

Yeah

My name is.. Suga

Jimin’s head snapped toward the older boy and stared at him in disbelief. As the first verse began, Jimin decided to close his eyes and listen. This song was unknown to him. It also was entirely in Korean except for a few choice words. Somewhere the hook of the song, the younger boy began to bob his head to the beat, absorbing the words that were being spat at him.

Go yourself

Jimin let out a soft chuckle, but continued to feel the rhythm of the song until it end.

“Wow,” he said breathlessly. “I have been to so many of your concerts, yet I have never heard that song.”

“That would be because I haven’t performed it here in Florida. It was my… To borrow Kpop terms because I lack any better… Solo debut. I was rapping with some guys I had met in New York and then I was offered a chance to perform a solo song. I chose to rap one in Korean because I was more comfortable alone in Korean. I was rapping in English with my friends, but alone,” he hesitated, “I couldn’t do it. I was only 13 when I started rapping. I was shy. I used the stage as my way of becoming more open. My language barrier didn’t disappear when I walked on stage though. So I was self-conscious about ing up. It was a big hit and everyone loved it. I continued to perform more alone than anything else after that. And that Park Jimin. Is my first ever original song. No one here has heard it. Now feel special or else you can leave,” Yoongi explained. Never once did he open his eyes to look at Jimin, but the boy could tell that Yoongi was having to control his breathing. He looked like it was taking a lot of energy to say one word, let alone string them together to form sentences.

“I do feel special,” Jimin said, staring at the blonde’s profile, willing him to turn and look at him. The elder must have heard the boy’s silent plea because in that moment he opened his eyes and turned his head to face the other. The look in his eyes was full of affection, insecurity, vulnerability, and most of all gratitude.

“I feel so special, in fact, that you should let me make dinner in a way to pay you back,” the younger said, suddenly excited about the prospect of cooking the elder dinner.

“Ok, but if you burn the building down, just remember you have to face Seokjin’s wrath and mine,” the elder said, a small smile on his face.

The smile never left as he watched Jimin transform into an excited puppy and hopped up to start rummaging through the kitchen to find what he had to work with. The smile remained as he watched Jimin tie Seokjin’s pastel pink around his waist. It grew as he watched Jimin find ingredients he deemed useable. The larger smile remained as he got up to put on his favorite playlist on his iPod. It grew larger, if possible, as he watched Jimin sway and bob to the rhythm that was passing through the speakers as he put on noodles to boil and chopped vegetables. By the time dinner was done his smile had grew into his trademark gummy smile and he was laughing and dancing along with Jimin. And if you know Min Yoongi, you know, he detests dancing. But how can you resist the charm that is Park Jimin? You can’t, that’s how.

The two ate at the dining table in a mixture of comfortable silence and casual conversation. When dinner was done, Jimin moved to gather Yoongi’s dishes, but what kind of host would he be if he left Jimin do the cooking and cleaning? A ty one that’s what kind. So he grabbed his own and the two stood side by side cleaning and drying the dishes. When Yoongi washed the last plate and handed it to Jimin, he waited until it was safely in the drying rack before he softly said the boy’s name.

“What’s up, hyung?” Jimin said, turning to stand toe to toe with the older boy.

“Thank you,” the blonde said softly before leaning in to place an innocent kiss on the boy’s lips. He pulled away almost immediately, but the intent was there and it was well received.

The two stared at each other before smiling and Jimin walked back to the couch to resume his original position. Yoongi grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and followed the younger boy. He sat down and Netflix on the TV. He put on a random episode of Criminal Minds and they started mindlessly watching it, Jimin adjusting so he could watch it more comfortably.

“Jimin,” Yoongi finally said after fifteen minutes of the episode.

“Yes, hyung?” Jimin said, without looking away from the screen.

“What are we?” Yoongi asked, facing the boy. He needed to know.

That earned Jimin’s full attention. He turned toward the blonde and smiled, “Whatever you want us to be.”

“Would you like to date me?” Yoongi said, softly, almost inaudibly.

“I thought I already was,” Jimin said jokingly, trying to instill confidence in the older boy.

“Going on one not a date thing does not make us dating. I am not that easy,” Yoongi said with a scoff.

“I wish I would have known that before I footed $500 just on dinner,” Jimin said, jokingly upset.

“You what?!” Yoongi said, shocked into being almost speechless.

“Relax,” Jimin said, chuckling, “First off, that type of money is just playing money to me. Second, I didn’t actually have to pay anything because you know, I kinda own the place.”

“Oh. Yea. Right,” the blonde said, regaining his composure and coming to a realization. “You never answered my question.”

“I didn’t think I would have to say it. Of course I would be willing to date you. One condition though,” he said, leaning severely into his hyung’s personal space.

“Oh yea, what’s that?” the older asked, attempting to maintain as much composure as he could. He face began to take on a light pink tint the longer Jimin stayed so close to him; the younger’s breath splaying across the older’s lips.

“We have to be exclusive from the get go. I don’t like to share,” the boy stated blandly.

“The only person you have to share me with is my daughter.” As the words left his mouth, the front door opened suddenly and in ran said little girl. Followed not as quickly by Seokjin and Namjoon.

“Appa!” Areum squealed as she jumped into her father’s open arms.

“Yo, Yoongi, we are going to head out of a while. We figured it was time to bring her home, but our night isn’t finished so don’t wait up ok?” Namjoon said, already turning toward the door to leave, Seokjin’s hand glued to his own.

“Yuck,” the father said, sticking his tongue out in a mock disgusted face. “Whatever, just don’t be loud when you come home.” His words were barely registered as the couple were already walking out the door. After seeing his friends had left, Yoongi turned his attention back to his daughter who was sitting on the top of his thighs. “Did you have fun today, beautiful?”

“Ne! We went the beach, made sandcastles, ate lunch, drank milkshakes, and went to a park. I had lots of fun,” the little girl said excitedly. Despite her excitement, however, she wasn’t able to stifle the yawn that wracked her entire little body.

“Someone is tired,” Yoongi said with a chuckle. “Give daddy a kiss and then let’s lay down. Ok?” he said, playing with the little girl’s hair.

Said girl leaned forward and wrapped her hands around her father’s neck in a hug. She leaned back and planted a soft kiss to his lips and continued to hug him. He moved to lay her down on his lap, but she had other plans and crawled off of him. She instead crawled onto Jimin’s lap and wrapped her arms around his neck. Just like she did with her father, Areum leaned back and gave Jimin a kiss. She then laid herself down on the brunette’s lap, her head resting on one of his thighs. Yoongi knew he should move her, Jimin most likely didn’t want to have a toddle fall asleep on him, but the blonde couldn’t bring himself to ruin the image in front of him. The younger boy was the little girl’s head with one hand and rubbing circles on her back with the other.  A small smile found itself permanently placed on the dancer’s lips.

Yoongi drug his eyes away from the sight in front of him and turned back to the TV. He stopped the show that was still playing and stopped it, switching it to Peabody and Sherman; one of Areum’s favorite movies. Before the newly formed couple knew it, the little girl was out cold.

“Should I put her to bed?” Jimin asked softly, still rubbing circles on the little back.

“Yea, follow me,” Yoongi said, walking down the hallway. He didn’t have to look behind him to know that the younger did as he was told and was shuffling behind him. “Just lay her down on the bed.” The younger was carrying the little girl in his arms bridal style and placed her gently on the mattress. The boy watched intently as the father leaned down to cover the girl up with her Little Mermaid blanket. She was still in her day clothes, but it would be okay for one night. The blonde also grabbed a teddy bear that was seemingly forgotten and placed it underneath one of the girl’s arms. Almost as an afterthought, he leaned down and placed one last kiss to the little girl’s forehead.

The two returned to their spot in the living room, sitting so close on the couch that their thighs and arms were touching. They didn’t bother to change the movie, but instead opted to alternate between watching it and talking softly. It was only half an hour later when Jimin rested his head on Yoongi’s shoulder. It was well past midnight when the blonde looked down and noticed the younger boy had fallen asleep; his breathing drawing softly between his partially open lips.

The next morning, the father woke up laying on his back and Jimin curled into his side, leg and arm thrown haphazardly across the elder’s chest and waist. Areum had come into the living room sometime during the early morning and curled herself on top of Yoongi, against the younger boy’s chest. It was 7 o’clock and Yoongi knew he should be waking the younger boy and having him go on his way, but he couldn’t bring himself to disturb his own little slice of paradise.

I am so sorry that this took so long for me to write. As some of you know, I hit a major wall and couldn't figure out what I wanted to happen next. That is when hiyoriiki came and insfired me so much. A very large portion of this chapter was her idea and she is such a lovely human being that I am not sure this would have happened with out her.

Anywhoo, I hope this 4k+ words of pure fluff makes up for the length of time in between up dates. As always, thank you guys so much for reading. I love you all.

Oh, and don't be afraid to comment or message me or something. I don't bite and I do my best to always reply. <3
