Zora.
To Save The World
Nadia's POV
I awakened from the sound of a loud thunder. My eyes flashed opened and I quickly shot up and looked around. I was
sitting on long, soft green grass that stretched a few feet away from the tall, beautiful trees surrounding me. The sky
was dark and filled with stars and small flashes of white lightning. The sound of thunder was still going on but it wasn't
as loud as the one that woke me up. It was actually softer and more calming.
Where am I...? I thought to myself. My eyebrows furrowed while I retraced what happened. Okay... I was on the bus with
auntie and uncle, the bus driver had a heart attack, I fell into the isle, hit my head on something and knocked out? I
thought about it a little longer and I slapped my forehead.
"I must have died..." I told myself. I sighed and thought what I was going to miss... Auntie and Uncle's wedding, going
shopping again...and I'm not going to get to see Tasia again... I frowned and sighed again. I refocused on everything
and stood up.
"Well sulking isn't going to do any good, might might as well move around this place and try to find something...
maybe someone." I said putting my hands up to my waist. I noticed I was wearing the same things I was wearing
when I was on the bus. A pair of cute, brown boots, my best blue skinny jeans I had, and a white, long-sleeved,
turtleneck sweater.
"Hmm... at least I get to stay comfy." I smiled to myself. I looked around one more time and started walking into the
woods. I didn't know where I was going and it didn't really matter to me. As long as I was doing something, I didn't
care. After a few minutes of walking, I stumbled across a huge white double door gate. Maybe the gates of heaven? I
asked myself. I shrugged and pushed one of the gates open. It was pretty heavy but I managed to get it to move. I
stepped into it and felt a frosty breeze splash my face.
I took a few steps forward and then looked at the ground. My feet were covered in 6 inches of snow.
WTF? I lifted an eyebrow and looked around again. The place was covered in pure white snow, stretching as far as I
could see. I took a step back and turned around, only to find more snow. My eyes widened. Where in the world did the
gate go?...
I stood there and soaked in all that was going on. I took a big breath, let out a really long sigh, shrugged and them
turned around and began stomping my feet into the snow. This place was't as bad as I thought. It was sunny and the
sky was clear of any clouds. To my surprise, I wasn't that cold either. It was a little breezy, but I didn't feel like I was
going to get frostbite. I stuffed my hands into my jean pockets and began to hum church hymns as I slowly closed my
eyes, lifting my face into the sun.
"Nadia!" someone said. I stopped and opened my eyes. I looked around and saw no one. Maybe it's my
imagination... I told myself. I started to walk again but something stopped me.
"Hey, Nadia! Wait!" someone shouted. I looked around curiously.
"Who's there?" I asked.
"Over here!" their voice was getting closer. I searched for them but saw nothing but white snow until something
bumped into me. I looked down and saw a gorgeous pure white Arctic Fox looking up at me. It had beautiful gold
eyes. Her fur was long and looked so soft. I bent down and pet her face.
"Hi there." I said.
"It's good to finally meet you Nadia." she said. My eyebrows rose a little.
"How do you know my name?" I asked her.
"Well it would be pretty weird for me not to know my master's name." she giggled.
"Have a seat." she said sweetly. I did as she told and sat into the snow. Oddly enough, it was neither cold nor wet. I
faced her and she came closer to me sitting right in front of me.
"My name is Zora. Nice to meet you." She extended her paw into air.
"Nice you meet you too." I said chuckling and gently shaking her paw. Her skin was warm and smooth while her fur
was soft and fluffy.
"Nadia, I am your chimera, an animal chosen by the gods just for you." The Gods?! I gasp and covered my
mouth.
"Chosen by the gods...?"
"Uh huh." she replied.
"But why?" I asked her.
"Because we have to save the world."
"Save the world.... How am I suppose to save the world when I'm dead?" I asked her. She looked down into the
snow.
"Well, you see... your not really dead." she started to make paw prints in the snow. My eyes widened.
"I'm not dead?"
"Nope." she said still making paw prints in the snow. Relief filled my heart and smile slowly appeared on my face.
Good...
"So go on will the saving the world thing." I said petting her her head.
"Okay, soooo there's someone out there creating these... these weird things that are destroying the Earth.
Theyaren't of any harm right now, but when they fully evolve, they will become extremely deadly," She lifted
her headand looked at me again.
"You, and 4 other girls were chosen to protect the world. You all have a certain chimera,
and we chimeras, have a certain power to give to you so you can use it and help the world."
"Power?"
"Yep, I'll show you." she said. Without warning she jumped at me and entered my body. I felt a warmth in me but a
jolt of energy bolted throughout my body. I quickly got up and felt the urge to do something. I looked at my hands and
then to my body. I had cute white fox ears on the top of my head and a soft fluffy white tail behind me.
"Nadia, It's me Zora, can you hear me?" she asked.
"I can hear you, but I can't see you..." I said. "Where did you go?" I asked looking around.
"I'm inside you. We've connected. Do you feel me?" Is she that warm feeling? I asked myself.
"I think I do." I smiled.
"Perfect. Can you feel the energy in you too?"
"Yeah, I feel pretty energetic because of it." I said jogging in place. She laughed and told me,
"Even better! Okay, for you Nadia... I give you the power to wield lightning." I paused.
"Wield lightning? Like hold lightning bolts and stuff?" I asked her.
"You can if you want. " she giggled.
"You feel the energy right? Use it. Think about the flow of it in your body and concentrate on it. Imagine it
twirling around your arm."
"Okay..." I took a deep breath and held out my right arm. I concentrated on the energy flowing throughout me and
imagined it spiraling down my entire arm. After a few seconds, a red lightning rope started to spark out of my skin. It
circled around my arm and into my hands. I gasp and the red light quickly disappeared.
"Wow! You did really good Nadia! Better than I expected!" she excitedly told me.
"Y-you think so?" I asked her.
"Of Course! ^-^ Since you can already control it, we can try and start to shoot it."
"I can shoot it?!" I asked surprised.
"Uh Huh! Think about the energy again and then just let it fly from your fingers." I nodded and extended my
hand again. I noticed I had a ring on it.
"If I can remember right, I'm pretty sure I didn't have a ring on when I was on the bus."
"Oh Yeah! Don't take that off Nadia! That's what let's us transform and it's also what lets you use the power." she said.
"Ohhhh! Okay I won't take it off." I smiled. "It's actually really pretty if I must say..." It was a simple band of
silver around my finger so I didn't mind. "Okay back to practice." I told myself.
I focused the energy in my hands and when it appeared, I shot it forward and it flew out into a snow pile disparaging
and also melting the snow just a bit.
"AW-EE-SOME!" I squealed to myself.
"That was great Nadia! Now try to aim at something." I looked around and tried to find something to aim at.
"Zora, there's nothing to aim at." I told her.
"Uhhmmm, try that snow hill over there, to your left." I turned to the left and sure enough, there was a giant pile of
snow.
"Alright, let's do this." I said stretching my hands and fingers. Zora laughed and said,
"Aim for the middle. Remember to concentrate." I nodded and took a deep breath again. I held out my arm closed
one eye and aimed for the middle. The red lightning flickered in my fingers and I shot it. It flew to the hill but it didn't hit
the middle... It hit the tip. -_-'
Zora giggled.
"Hey, at least I hit it!" I said crossing my arms.
"Good point." she said still giggling. I couldn't help myself and began to giggle with her. After a few seconds, we
stopped, and un-transformed. I sat down in the snow again and started to ask her a question.
"So there's more people out there who's ganna protect the earth with me?" I asked her.
"Yes, 3 more girls." she said placing her head on my lap. I pet her head and started to think about more questions to
ask.
"So we all have different powers?"
"Yep."
"What are they?"
"Your ganna have to find that out for yourself." she said. I laughed.
"So how am I suppose to find the others?"
"I'm not really suppose to do this but," she looked up at me. "Right now, your in the hospital. Tasia and the
other 2 girls are in the same hospital room as you."
I froze.
"Tasia? What is she doing in the hospital with me?"
"She's one of the girls, she was at the car crash."
I can't believe she's actually in the same hospital as me... I'm ganna get to see her again! I smiled and then
refocused.
"So all of us are already together?" I asked her. She nodded her head and said,
"We better get back though, there's someone is waiting for us." she said.
"Who's waiting for us?" I asked her.
"The world." she chuckled. "And also Kiseop." she said smiling.
"Kiseop?" I said tilting my head.
"Mhmm. He's the one who's ganna help you guys. Don't worry when he comes to get you guys. Just
follow him and you'll find me. ^-^" she said. I nodded. I don't even know Zora that well, so why do I trust her so
much?
"Got to go! Byeee~ SEE YOU SOON! " she said running off. I quickly got up and ran for her.
"Zora!" I shouted. Everything went white again and I opened my eyes. The sound of the hospital filled my ears.
