Loving an Heiress' Last Chapter... mixed feeling. Happy and sad.

Let's celebrate the finale with two OST, enjoy! I love both songs.

There's no more drama, so this chapter is basically fan service; hope you like it!

Love you all, it had been a wonderful ride!

Update March 21st 2016: I'm sorry, I re-read this chapter and thought that it is till a bit mature. So I toned it out a bit again. As usual, head out to Mature section for the orginal version.

Airport is a funny place, it's a place of mixed emotion. Excitement and melancholy combined in one great building where people come and go from and to their respective journey. The excitement of going to places, the sadness of leaving the love ones behind, the excitement of expecting them to come back and the sadness from having the journey ended. It is a place where people dressed up nicely though it's not a party, carried tissue though it's not a funeral and gathered though it's not a reunion.

Shin Hye's stood in the great hall of Incheon Airport, back pack on the shoulder and a luggage on the side. Her right hand held the boarding pass and passport while the left one helf her iphone 6. She checked the gadget every five minutes and at every notification that came to it, but every time her heart sank as the message or the news she was expecting had yet arrived. Her heart was full with mixed emotion, just like the great Incheon Airport.

"Noona!" her brother's voice brought her back to her senses. "You've been called to the waiting room." he reminded her.

Shin Hye turned to him and faintly smiled. She walked towards a group of people who was looking at her, they too had mixed expression; a combination of sadness, sympathy, respectful joy - a joyful feeling that came out of respect to the related person. It was a natural expression of the people who were being left behind.

She looked at them, the people she loved, the people who just in the span of a few months had become the most important persons in her life. The people she fought with, the people she worked with, the people she stood with during the lowest and hardest time of her life. To meet such great friends was such a rarity and though she would never want to go back and re-experienced the last few months, but she was grateful; because during that horrendous months she was able to meet great people that she knew would stay in her life forever.

All of them were there looking at her, all of them but one. The most important one. The one who got upset two days ago, left her in his apartment and did not go back for the whole day. Shin Hye knew that for sure, since she waited for him that long. When it was finally the time for her to pack her bags, she had no choice but to go home. However, now that she stood in that airport, longing to see his face, she could not help to wonder: did she really had no choice?

Was he right? Was she being selfish for trying to achieve her dream before settling in? Was she being a horrible girlfriend for wanting something? Would he wait for her? Was she losing him again?

The thought had her tear up again. She clenched her boarding pass until it almost crumpled, she might need to iron it if Hyung Sik did not hold her hand and snapped her back from her train of thoughts.

"Go! I'll take care of him..." he said, as always reading her mind like a ghost. "This has always been your dream, you'll never be able to live comfortably if you haven't do this. He'll understand eventually." Hyung Sik tried to convince her.

"Do you really think so?" Shin Hye asked unconvinced.

"I know so! He's my employee now. I'll fire him if he's unfaithful to you." he grinned, though with the saddest eyes Shin Hye had ever saw.

Her lips started to tremble, there were not enough thank yous that she could say to her baby brother. He was always there for her, listening to all of her story, standing up beside her, helping her with her love life and now releasing her from her responsibilities and letting her achieve her dream. She was glad the horrified incident did not cost her him, otherwise she would go crazy.

"Hyung Sik-a!!" a tear left her right eyes, "Thank you..." she sniffed back her tears. "I'm sorry..." the second tear left her left eyes.

"Take care of yourself, kay? Write to me everyday!!" Shin Hye nodded, "You hear?!!" she nodded more vigorously, "If I didn't hear a news from you even for one day, I'll call the interpol to find you and drag you home! I'm powerful guy now, you know!" he threatened.

Shin Hye weep-chuckled at his joke and wailed when he pulled her into his embrace. "I love you, baby brother! Take care of Harabeoji when I'm gone, okay...! I'll be back before you know it." she whispered. Hyung Sik's tears finally released as he pursed his lips to mute his cry and tightened his embrace.

The rest of their friends looked at the sibling's banter and could not help not to shed tears. Ye Jin was already weeping when Shin Hye was released from Hyung Sik's bear hug and walked towards her. She pouted at the best friend, faking a scold.

"Do you really have to go?" she asked.

"Argh, Eonni!!!" Shin Hye whined, "Don't ask me that! It's already hard as it is..."

"Arasso! Arasso!" she said while wiping the liquid under her nose. "Don't go around starving yourself like Paris, okay? You're a succesful director now not an underpriviliged student! Stop acting like poor people, there's nothing embarassing about being rich." Ye Jin voiced her logic.

Shin Hye giggled at her joke, but it did not stop her from crying as she looked at her bestfriend, the closest thing of a sister to her. Her friend whom she shared both happy times and sad, whom she shared dreams with, who taught her a lot of things and guided her when she needed guidance from the parents that she did not have. Meeting Ye Jin in that cooking class was a blessing, and even though they had a rough time, fortunately they were able to get through it and cleared up all misunderstanding. Shin Hye could not be happier because now their friendship was stronger than ever.

"I love you, Eonni! You know that, right!?"  her voice caught in . "We'll start that catering business once I'm back. Okay? That's a promise!" Shin Hye said while hugging her.

"Don't think about that yet, just focus in coming back safely, arasso!?" she whispered in Shin Hye's ear, which somehow made Shin Hye even sadder. She nodded her head. "Don't forget to write, I'm going to miss you, gejibeya!!"

"Eonni!! It's my turn!" Shin Hye heard the voice of a young girl, the one who usually whine and shout, using a very uncommon tone.

Ye Jin let Shin Hye go to turn and pout at Soo Jung. The young girl weep-grinned at both of her Eonnis, she then looked at Shin Hye but unable to utter a single word. They just stared at each other with tears streaming on both cheeks.

"I don't know what to say..." Soo Jung said finally, "A part of me want to stop you from leaving, but the other told me to smile and bid you goodbye. Ottoke, Eonni!? I'm confused?" she quivered.

"Oh! Come here you!!" Shin Hye gestured her to come forward for a hug. "Thank you Soo Jung-a! Please take care of your brother for me." Shin Hye whispered.

"He's a jerk!! Why do you still put up with him?" Soo Jung said in between her wail.

"Shh!!" Shin Hye pulled herself from the hug and put her hands on Soo Jung's cheek, "This time, I'm the jerk. I'm not blaming him at all, if anything I should be the one scolded by you." she stared firmly at the younger girl's eyes.

"Eonni! Can I have a request?" Soo Jung sniffed, Shin Hye nodded with a sad smile. "Don't leave him... I mean not physically. Please bear with him. I know he will never say it with his mouth, but he needs you and he'll die if he loose you again." she said in all seriousness.

Shin Hye giggled, "Always the dramatic Soo Jung! Arasso! I'll die if I loose him too..." she said copying the girl's term. "Tell Eommoni my goodbyes, okay? I feel really bad for not properly greet her and bid her goodbye."

Soo Jung wiped her nose with the back of her hand and nodded, "Be safe, Eonni! And return quickly." she moved forward to whisper, "I'm still scared of Editor Min." she joked. They both laughed it off a bit hysterically, one might say it was an effort to overcome their cry.

Shin Hye then walked towards the next group, three men and a woman; a bunch of flowers boys and girl who would fall into the popular group should they were still in high school. She stood in front of them and sighed, six months ago she would never dreamed of being acquainted with any of them, not when she was the nerdy trainee and intentionally laid low.

And now there they were, looking sad to see her go. The charismatic HR manager, the loyal IT manager, the friendly marketing officer and the fierce fashion editor; all the respected people in the company and her loyal subordinates who had proven to be her true friends. A lot of things had happened between them and though everything fell into the category of a ruined plan for Shin Hye, she was glad her plan was ruined otherwise she would never met such great persons and loyal friends as they were.

"Min Hyuk-a!" Shin Hye called.

"Deh, Director!" he replied weakly.

"Call me Noona!!" she faked seriousness.

Min Hyuk chuckled, "Deh, Noona!"

"You know I'm always grateful to you, right!? You're like my other younger brother who seemed to know all of my secrets before anybody else. I'm glad my laptop broke that day in the cafeteria." Shin Hye said, was so dry, it was so hard for her to talk.

Min Hyuk smiled shyly, putting his hand on his nape. "You're awesome, Noona! Yong Hwa Hyung met his perfect match, I'll always pray for both of you." he said.

"Thank you! And please Min Hyuk. Stop hanging out with inanimate objects and start a relationship with a living thing!" Shin Hye said while side-glancing to Soo Jung and winked. Min Hyuk stunned at first but he then giggled and nodded his head. He did not realise that he was being obvious.

"Relax, Director! Once you're back, he'll be as suave as me!" Seung Ho chimed in.

Shin Hye chuckled, "No! Not to that extreme, please!" she joked. They all laughed at her remark.

Shin Hye sighed and smiled proudly at the maknae when their laughter subsided. Suddenly he bowed deeply, "Gomapsemida!" he looked like a nine year old who just being given a cake.

"What for?" she chuckled.

"For acknowledging him!" it was Min Hyuk's turn to chime in, "Because of you, he got that early promotion he wanted so bad." he teased, Seung Ho's face went red.

Shin Hye smiled proudly at the maknae, "You deserve it, Seung Ho-shi. Thank you for everything. Looking back, I think most of my problems solved by you. You are actually a dark horse!" she said. "Come here you two! Say goodbye to your Noona!" she hugged Min Hyuk and Seung Ho one after another.

"Take care Noona, comeback safely, deh!?" Min Hyuk said when he hugged her.

"I will!" She replied while patting his arm.

She then turned to the couple beside Seung Ho who had been observing the boys antic all along. Hyo Rin instantly lit up and moved toward for a hug, stunning the boys and even Shin Hye. They saw a lot of different new sides to the Editor lately, showing affection towards their Director was one of them.

"Have a save journey, Director." she said after releasing Shin Hye. "Hope you find whatever it is that you are searching for."

Shin Hye smiled, "Thank you Editor Min, somehow I knew you will be one of not so many people who understood why I have to do this."

Min Hyo Rin shrugged, "We girls have to have each other's back, right?" she smiled.

"Ommo! I never thought I'd hear that kind of thing from the fierce Editor Min... I'm happy that I'm able to live the day when I hear Editor Min said that." she teased.

"That's what Il Woo-shi keep on telling me." she said while turning on the man beside her.

Both women looked at the man quizzically, it turned out that he had been distant all this while. His face was so stiff as he often nervously scanned the great hall. He was too preoccupied with his thoughts that he did not notice that he was in the spotlight.

"Il Woo-shi!?" Hyo Rin called to get his attention.

"Deh!?" He answered almost immediately, Hyo Rin gave him a signal that Shin Hye was there, making him jumped nervously as he turned to Shin Hye.

"I'm sorry, I don't know where he is. I kept calling him and texted him but he won't answer." he said with guilt all over the face.

Shin Hye froze at his information but then smiled, "It's okay Il Woo-shi. You've done enough. It's my fault anyway, I should give him some space."

Il Woo sighed dejectedly, "I know him for more than a decade, believe me when I say: I never saw him love any woman the way he loves you. He's crazy over you..." Shin Hye's heart skipped a beat. "If anything, I thing he's not coming today because he's afraid he couldn't let you go. Give him time, he'll contact you no matter what. Like Soo Jung said, he'll die if he doesn't hear anything from you." he said assuring.

Somehow the words from the best friend made Shin Hye relieve, so she just nodded and hugged him goodbye. After hearing his promise to keep an eye at her boyfriend, Shin Hye walked to the two men that stood a bit far from the youngsters. Chairman Park was still on the wheelchair, looking very grumpy while Secretary Choi stood behind him with signature warm smile on the face.

Shin Hye stood in front of them and bowed deeply, her heart broke seeing the bitter face on her grandfather. She was hoping to get his blessing this time, so she could begun her adventure at ease. Well, at least if she had her grandfather blessing, she only had to worry about one person. But now that she saw the hostile look on the elder face, she could only be grateful that at least he was there to send her off. It was enough for her.

"Take care, Choi Ahjussi! Please look after my Harabeoji well." Shin Hye heard her grandfather scoffed.

Secretary Choi replied her bowed and pursed his lips, "You too, Agasshi. Take care of your health and don't skip any meal." he said politely.

"Ahem!!" Chairman Park's way of clearing throat sounded like a growled, "Won Young-a!" he callled his Secretary.

"Deh, Chairman?" the subordinate answered.

"Could you please leave us alone for a moment?" the elder instructed.

"Deh, Chairman. I'll be with Hyung Sik Doryonnim." Secretary Choi said, he left after giving a bow to Shin Hye.

Once they were alone, Shin Hye felt very nervous. She was sure that her grand father would shout at her in the middle of the airport with thousands of visitor. Perhaps she would be in those another humiliating video, hashtag grandpa's fury, this time.

"Come here!" Chairman Park's voice was full of authority that there was no way she could reject it. So Shin Hye timidly walked and stood just in front of his feet all the while looking at her toes. She looked like a twelve year old being scolded for skipping class. "Two years!!' he shouted, just loud enough for both of them to hear, Shin Hye jerked and looked at her grand dad, "Today is February the 20th, at the latest on the eve of February 19th two years from now, you have to be at home. No extension! Arasso!?" he threatened.

Shin Hye lit up, she slowly sank down to kneel in front of the elder. "Deh! Harabeoji!" she suppressed her smile and witheld her tears. "Thank you, harabeoji. Believe me, this time I will not run away, will not extend my homecoming and I will do anything you want once I'm back."

"Even marry the second son of Samsung group?" he chided.

Shin Hye bitterly grinned, "Anything but that..." she knew he was not being serious.

Suddenly Chairman Park laughed, a hearty laugh Shin Hye had not seen for years. She remembered he used to laugh like that with her, way before Paris, way before her parents' death. Shin Hye remembered now how they used to be very close and how her grand father used to bring her everywhere, showing her off to his friends when she was just a little girl. That laugh triggered the memory of them spending fun time, something that just faded and forgotten along the years.

She suddenly missed that harabeoji, the one she could rely on, the one she ran to when she was being scolded by her parents, the one who took her for an ice cream after her tonsillectomy. Her tears streamed again, "Harabeoji..." she called, like her 10 year old self to her beloved grand dad.

Chairman Park was taken aback, suddenly recalled the little girl who was his favorite grandchildren. His hand raised to her cheek as he smiled, "Gomawo, Shin Hye-ya. Also... I'm so sorry." Shin Hye's heart broke when his tears fell on his cheek. "I don't go around saying this much. But I'm so proud of you! As a grand father, as a chairman and as an overall human being. You have become a mature young woman, respected by your enemy and loved by your people, a great leader I always knew that you are. I'm sure you father and mother in heaven are smiling upon you. They would have been so proud if they were with us today." he said while caressing his grand daughter.

Shin Hye brows creased as she could no longer witheld her sob. She threw herself at the old man and wailed. "Thank you Harabeoji... I'm so sorry for everything. Jjalmeottaseo!" her body shook hard inside his embrace from the sob.

"No, my child. You're never were and will never be a bad child. There was never a point in my life when I didn't feel proud of you." he pushed her to look at her face. "Take care of yourself okay, come back with a new spirit. You deserved it... you've worked hard, Director Park!" he firmly said while wiping her tears away.

"Deh, Chairman!" Shin Hye said while standing up. Her heart felt lighter a little for having her grandfather's blessing. She moved to the back of his wheelchair and wheeled him to where the rest of the pack gathered.

They all walked her to the gate where she had to pass. It was already the second waiting-room call for her flight so she had to enter it hurriedly which meant her last few moments to see everybody before she was off on her two years journey.

The queue to the waiting room was getting shorter as it was almost the time to board the plane. Shin Hye smiled and waved to her friends while stepping up to the airport officer to give her boarding pass and passport. Her heart skipped a beat when he returned them and let her to come into the restricted area; she knew it was her last few seconds to meet him.

She looked around one last time, hoping that some miracle happened and saw him running to meet her. Her friends looked at her sympathetically knowing what she was looking for, some of them even wished for the same thing. But he was nowhere to be found. The airport was busy, there must had been thousands of people in that great hall but not one of them were him, Jung Yong Hwa.

So she sighed and finally gave up in hoping to see him; she waved one last time and went inside the room before the lady behind her scolded her for delaying the queue. It was unfortunate really, because if only she looked carefully behind a pillar she would spot a man in all blacks, watching intensely at the departure gate. His face was mostly covered with cap and hoodies but it could not hide the fact that tears were streaming on his cheek. He hung his head when the girl disappeared behind the tempered-glass wall.

---o0o---

Yong Hwa came out of his apartment looking like he had not had any sleep for a week, his eyes were red, his eyebags were thick and his lips were chapped. The summer suit he wore was at the finest but it could not cover the pitiful state he was in. He half-ran to the iron stair and halted midway, looked at the mini garden in front of his loft and remembered the weather forecast he heard when he woke up that morning, it was going to be scorching hot without any sign of rain, just like it had for a week.

He looked at his watch and silently cursed, the urge slowly defeated his plan to ran to his office to catch the morning briefing with his team. So he folded his sleeve and took watering can, filled it up to the fullest and watered the plant on that garden. Luckily there was not that many. Once he finished, he drop the can and ran twice the speed to catch the time.

"Good Morning, everybody! I'm sorry for being late... let's start the meeting!" he said while walking into the creative meeting room. His team sat straight up preparing for their material. "First thing first, Seung Ho-ya! Sales and marketing analysis for June edition." he said while sitting down and opened a folder that was clearly prepared for him.

"Deh, Creative Director Jung. Overall sales are stable as of today, 5% increase from last month. But there had been report of fragile paper in several districts, they said its easily torn and stuck to one another." Seung Ho from marketing department reported.

Yong Hwa looked up feeling agitated by the news, "Mwo!? Have you tracked which districts that reported it?" the younger man nodded, somehow Yong Hwa's cold stare gave him chills like he was at fault for the incident, "So which one is it? New paper or the recycled one?" he asked impatiently.

"I... uh..!" Seung Ho wondered to himself why he felt nervous all of the sudden. "It's the new paper." he reported.

Yong Hwa furrowed and tossed himself to the backrest, "Again?!" he exclaimed in annoyance. "Kwang Soo-shi!"

"Deh! Creative Director Jung?" the tall man said.

"How is it possible that the new paper has more problem than the recycled one?" he asked agitatingly.

"I'm sorry, Creative Director Jung. This is why they have been asking for a meeting with you, to talk about the decrease of the quality." Kwang Soo replied, jittery as ever.

"They? Who are they?" Yong Hwa asked impatiently.

"Nam Gyu Ri-shi, the new director of our supplier. She's been asking for a meeting with since April edition." Kwang Soo replied.

"Why does she even want to meet me? The printing department should be enough!" Yong Hwa chided the innocent man.

Hyo Rin eyed the tall man from printing department, she swore she saw beads of sweat dripped on his forehead from being nervous. The common reaction from Creative team members when having the meeting with their boss lately.

It had been four months since Shin Hye left and ever since the Director of the company changed into another Park, Yong Hwa's personality changed with it. The once talkative and nice Jung Yong Hwa had become a quiet and serious Creative Director Jung. The only things that came out of his mouth were about work and limited himself from unnecessary interaction with people, even if it was work related. So Hyo Rin was not surprised when he was agitated by the supplier's request to meet him.

"Look, why don't you try to meet her and see what's been going on. This the second month the problem occurred, let's not repeat it on the next month." Hyo Rin chimed in, "Just meet them, I'll go with you." she said to her boss.

Yong Hwa glowered at her and rolled his eyes afterwards, "Fine!! Kwang Soo-shi, set up a meeting with her today before lunch. We have a meeting with Director Park after lunch. If she could not make it today, then we don't have to meet at all." he instructed.

"Understood, Creative Director Jung." Kwang Soo replied, Hyo Rin saw him heaved a relieve sigh and threw a grateful look at her.

"Moving on, July edition. Everybody who does not have any concern on it may leave the room. Thank you for your attendance." he said dismissing some of the people.

The meeting resumed after the creative team was the only department in the room. Without any recess, Yong Hwa started their discussion in preparation for the next issue, a regular meeting held at the last one third of the month. Soo Jung sat on that meeting, watching her brother worked like an ox. She shook her heads thinking that he needed help urgently before he pass out from overwork and gone insane.

---

Hyo Rin put the Channel geometric dress over the mannequin, she squinted her eyes imagining the next thing she wanted to put on that mannequin. She was drowned in her work that it made her jump when Il Woo's head popped out from behind the statue.

"Boo!" he joked.

"Kamjagiya!" she exclaimed and immediately glowered at Il Woo.

Il Woo laughed, "Sorry... sorry... I just want to take you to lunch."

Hyo Rin scoffed and glanced at her watch, she widened her eyes realizing how late it was already, "Gu Rae? I didn't realize it was this late." she said while putting down the belt she was going to put on the mannequin.

They walked out of her office and fashion department, passed the creative floor that was almost empty. A few of the employees that were still on their seat glanced at the couple, the imagery of them going lunch together had occur so often, they stopped making a fuss at it. Even though the real relationship was still vague, but the hearts between them were almost apparent.

"So what makes you work this late into lunch?" he asked.

"Had a sudden meeting with the supplier and Creative Director Jung." she explained briefly.

Il Woo raised his eyebrows intrigued by the information, "And, how is he?"

Hyo Rin smirked, "Upset, of course! He had been dodging the supplier's request to meet since two months ago." she said. She then lean forward to whisper, "I think the supplier has hots to Yong Hwa-shi."

Il Woo frowned, "Who is it?"

"It's Nam Goong Min's sister. She took over the company two months ago and met Yong Hwa when she introduce herself as the new leader of the company. Since then she requested another meeting in and outside of the office." The elevator opened and they both stepped into the empty machine.

"And his reaction is?" Il Woo asked.

"That zombie? He rejected every time, this time he could not because we had problem with our paper and cause a complain in several district so he had to meet her." she moved closer to him to give space for the people who just walked in, who bowed respectfully to the couple.

"I wonder if the problem is intentional." Il Woo smirked.

"I know, right? But she is trying to seduce the wrong man." Hyo Rin chuckled, they moved all the way to the back of the machine as more people swarming in and ended up cornered very close to each other.

"Wae?" Il Woo smirked, he felt their hands touched and suddenly had a silly idea.

"He made her wait for half an hour, and me too of course!" she added with a pout, "Came into the meeting room and threatened her. If the problem occur again on the next month, he will change the supplier completely to TTL and left. She fumed, since he completely ignored the y, Dolce & Gabbana, tube dress." she giggled recalling the fury look on the woman's face.

"Heokshi! My bestfriend is very faithful..." Il Woo smirked joyfully.

"He is..." Hyo Rin agreed and turned to look at him afterwards, "What about his best friend? Is he faithful too?" she quipped.

Il Woo slack-jawed, pretended to be surprise. "O!? What is this? Fiery Fashion Editor is flirting with me?" he said while grabbing her hand and entwined their fingers.

Hyo Rin widened her eyes in surprise and immediately looked around the elevator, luckily it was so pack that the other passengers did not even realize that they were there. She smiled giddily and tightened her fingers between his. They fell into silent as they enjoy the secret intimate moment until the elevator reached the cafeteria floor. They reluctantly let go of each other and head out to the restaurant hall to have their lunch.

Il Woo saw two familiar persons on one of the table, a man and a woman. The woman suspiciously stood up and left the cafeteria when she saw both Il Woo and Hyo Rin, she bowed nervously as they passed each other in the middle of the great hall. Il Woo pulled a chair and let Hyo Rin sat while he took the seat next to her, right in front of Min Hyuk.

"Did Soo Jung leave because of us?" Il Woo asked curiously, gaining a look from Hyo Rin.

Min Hyuk jerked nervously, "O!? Ani!! She had something to do so she went up first." his face turned apple red.

"Did you had lunch together?" Il Woo probed.

"O! But we met by coincidence! Here...! We did not agree to meet here or something..." Min Hyuk unnecessarily explained.

Il Woo's smiled knowingly, "Aigoo... prepare yourself physically and mentally, Min Hyuk-a! Her brother is not an easy withstander." he teased, Hyo Rin smiled with him.

Min Hyuk's face turned bleak at the remark, he figured there was no point in hiding something from the HR manager who held a degree in psychology. "I know right... even worse with his condition right now." he heaved a deep sigh.

"Whose condition?" Seung Ho said while throwing himself to the seat next to Min Hyuk.

"Yong Hwa Hyung, do you think he would go beserk if I told him about Soo Jung and I whilst his love life is not really 'honey and sugar'?" Min Hyuk seriously asked his bestfriend.

"What about you and Soo Jung?" Seung Ho looked at him innocently.

"Aissh!" Min Hyuk hissed while faking a right hook. "Don't you think it's way too long for him to be sulking. It's like four months already. Do you know what happen between them, Hyung? Are they still together? Did they broke up?" Min Hyuk asked to Il Woo.

Il Woo shrugged, "He never talk about her at all.."

"What do you say if I introduce him to a model. Last weekend I help to held a product launching event which used a lot of topmodels. Maybe that way Yong Hwa could loosen up a little bit." Seung Ho said with mischievous smile.

"Ya!! How could you do that to Shin Hye noona!" Min Hyuk scolded.

"Aish!!" It was Il Woo's turn to hiss, "Besides, Yong Hwa is practically a monk right now. I don't think he's interested in ladies anymore."

"I know, if that lady boss Nam Gyu Ri could not captivate his interest, I don't know who will..." Seung Ho agreed.

"How did you know about Nam Gyu Ri?" Hyo Rin asked curiously, she was back from getting her meal from the counter.

"Kwang Soo sunbae told me after the meeting today. Nam Gyu Ri had been pressing him to set up a meeting with Yong Hwa Hyung, but he never succeed and got yelled at by Yong Hwa Hyung instead. So he feel like being pushed around both ways." He halted for seeing the subject of their conversation walked into the cafeteria. "She's so fine... smart and beautiful. Kinda like Director Park." he added in a hurry. "Guys he's here..." he warned the others.

The four people in the table immediately tensed up, they tried to look normal but the tension was already in the air that surrounded them. Yong Hwa came and sat on the next table, immediately gulped in his food without showing a sign of acknowledging any of his friends.

"Where have you been? It's kinda late for lunch, isn't it?" Il Woo was the one with the guts to greet first.

"O!? I still have something to do... Director Park." he paused at the name, "Hyung Sik needed some material for his meeting. I'm helping him." Yong Hwa replied, his tone was not offensive but it felt distant.

"So, birthday bash! Your birthday is in two days? Do you wanna do something with us?" Il Woo faked a cheerful front.

Yong Hwa shrugged indifferently, "Sure, I don't see why not."

"But promise that you won't just drink, okay!! We went to a club to hang out, find girls, joke around, not to watch you got drunk and... argh!!" Seung Ho felt someone kicked his shin.

Yong Hwa was taken aback, "Arasso, Imma!! I promised to never drink again..."

"Tch! That's what you said last time, but you ended up drinking anyway and rambled all night about Shin Hye-shi. What a way to shoo a bunch of girls." Seung Ho said under his breath.

"Okay, then! Just let me know the time and place. My treat..." Yong Hwa said while standing up, his bowl and bottled water were empty. "Il Woo-ya, Min Hyuk-a... don't forget the afternoon meeting with Hyung Sik."

"Deh Sajangnim..." Il Woo quipped.

Yong Hwa smirked and head-pushed his best friend, gaining a loud protest from the HR manager. He walked out of the cafeteria as fast as he came in, leaving his friends in awe at his lightning speed of eating.

---

Yong Hwa plodded inside his office and threw himself on his chair. He sighed audibly looking relief as if he just held his breath for quite some time. His eyes scanned the four-by-four office which oddly looked bigger and quieter than usual. Headache suddenly struck him, his hand instinctively moved to massage his temple, he closed his eyes in the attempt to get some sleep before the afternoon meeting. Sleeping was way better than having idle time.

He hated idle time. For four months he tried his hardest for not having one: a time when he had nothing to do, when his mind was not focusing on something and his brain was not used for something productive. Because if he had one, his mind would start to wander, away from his present to his past with her. The happy times he shared briefly with her before she ruthlessly left.

The thing he hated the most when it happened was the fact that he could not stop it. Once his mind start to think about her, he would start to think about crazy stuff, imagining how things would be different if he did different things four months ago. He once tried to surrender to the urge and ended up having sour mood for the whole day.

But today, he had a feeling that the same thing would happen. Especially after the meeting with the supplier's new director. The smart, beautiful and fierce new director who took over the company from the brother who was imprisoned for several crimes.

She looked nothing like Shin Hye but she reminded him a lot of that girl. He knew that from the first time he met her, right after she was appointed as the new leader and met the whole management of Femme including himself. He knew she would bring trouble should he acquainted himself too much with her.

Especially now that she was showing interest on him. Yes! He could feel it, he may turned into a monk to his friends but in actuality he was the same hot-blood young man that he was. And the fact that he had not seen nor touch the woman that he loved made the new girl even more dangerous.

He heaved a deep sigh and surrendered to his naughty mind that was starting to wander to the last time they were together. The last time he touched her when they cuddled all night long and solidified his love to her and his intention to devote his whole life for her. His manhood hardened already just imagining how the night should have had ended.

The thought reminded him of something, he looked at the drawer of his desk and pulled it. The red velvety box was now there, he brought it the day he went to send her off. He wanted to stop her by proposing again to her, but he chickened out. His head kept telling him that it was not fear, that he was being a supportive boyfriend who let his girlfriend achieve her dreams; but in the back of his mind he knew it was just straight out cowardice.

Fear of rejection, that she would turn him down and walk away anyway. He would not know how to live if that happened. So he decided to just stood a few meters away, near enough to see her beautiful face but distant enough for her not to spot him.

After he left the airport, he went straight to the office and put the ring there. He made up his mind to let her do her journey and wait. Two years should be short enough if he just occupied himself with something and cut every communication with her. Talking to her would just make him misses her more, he was worried that he would just fly to wherever she was and dragged her back to his side. So much for a supportive boyfriend!

But now, four months later when he had no contact with her or whatsoever, he began to have doubts. Should he just stopped her back then? Should he responded to the numerous email she sent him? Should he replied the text messages from her? Should he just booked a plane ticket, flew to wherever she was and dragged her back to his side?

A pinching sensation suddenly struck the left side of his chest, a common reaction when he missed her badly. At times like that there was only one remedy: reading the emails she sent him that told him all of her adventure story, everyday for four months without fail.

She was in Thailand, the pictures she sent him showed her radiant face under the South East Asian sun. She wore casual clothes, her hair was always in messy ponytail but she never failed to amaze him. Her bright smile on the boat or during a ride on Tuktuk always succeed in drawing his smile. He wished he could be by her side.

The crazy thought worsened the pain. He rubbed his eyes with his palms, sometimes it did the trick to lessen the headache, but it seemed to be not the case this time; so he just rested his elbows to his knees. "Shin Hye-ya! What should I do?" he mumbled.

He was still in the imperfect 'the thinker statue' pose when his office phone rang. He looked up and glanced at the clock, it was 2 p.m.; the time for the meeting. He could already guess who called and what the call was about. "Yobuseyo?" he answered, belatedly realize his hoarse voice. "Arasso, I'll be there in five." he said and hung up.

Yong Hwa stood up and grabbed his tablet, he sniffed and just realized that his nose was runny. His hand raised, touched his cheek and instantly felt the damp on it. "Aish! What the hell?!" He cursed while wiping his cheek and walked out of the office.

The meeting was in the Director's office, with most of the team leaders and managers. The latest Director, the youngest of the Park family was reviewing the latest sales report and discussed something with the finance manager. Yong Hwa stared at the young man, the one who used to joke around anytime and any where. He smiled looking at the serious face of the Director. Four months ago, Yong Hwa would never imagined that kind of expression could be on that cute face.

Director Park, or Park Hyung Sik. That was how Yong Hwa preferred to addressed him. 'Director Park' would only remind him of the other Director, the previous one, and he hated to be reminded of her every minute of his working hours. The doubt of people in the company of his leadership lasted for a week, he had proven to everybody that when it came to business, he meant business. He could be as ruthless as his sister without the need of loud voices or name calling. The advantage of being a male.

"Creative Director Jung?" Yong Hwa jerked from his thoughts after hearing the Director voice. "I heard there's a problem with the paper supplier. Do you need to change them?" he asked sternly.

"Deh, Director! We had a meeting today with them. They promised to increase the quality, I gave them one more month chance before completely change them." Yong Hwa said.

"Arasso! I'll believe at your call, one more month. Afterwards, just cut them out. We don't want anymore of those poor quality magazine. We lost quite a lot in pulling this month's edition and replace it with the better ones." Hyung Sik explained.

"Agree Director. I'll tell the printing to put more attention during next month edition." Yong Hwa smiled faintly, Hyung Sik's seriousness still amused him sometime.

"Okay then... I guess the meeting is over. Thank you for coming." Hyung Sik said to his team. They immediately tidied their belongings up and got ready to left the room. "Creative Director Jung, could you please stay for a few minutes. I need to talk to you about something." He added.

Yong Hwa was taken aback by the request but he stayed seated anyway; it was the first time in months that Hyung Sik talked to him in private. The last time was just after Shin Hye left, the supposedly younger man scolded him for being MIA on the day she left. That was the first day Yong Hwa saw the new side of Hyung Sik, that he was not just some goofy jokester, he was just as serious and protective as any man when it came to the one he loved. They never talked anything beside work afterwards.

"Hyung!" his casual way of addressing him made Yong Hwa froze on his seat, "Gwenchana?"

"What do you mean?" he replied nervously; Shin Hye once told him that Hyung Sik could be like a ghost sometime.

"You were so out of focus during the meeting, you look pale, your eyes bloodshot. I saw you held your stomach and gagged lately." Hyung Sik stared at his Hyung firmly. "What? Are you having a chronic gastritis or something?"

Yong Hwa looked down, Hyung Sik's stare was too intense for him. "I'm fine. Don't worry."

"Bull!" Yong Hwa looked up in surprise at the sudden harsh language, "When are you going to stop being stubborn? I wasn't going to step into the matter again like last time because I thought both of you are mature enough to solve your own problem. Apparently I'm wrong! You haven't contacted her at all, have you?"

Yong Hwa sighed, "It's complicated..."

"No it's not! You're just being dramatic. Long distant relationship is not the end of the world. And she will only be gone for two years max. What's with the drama?!" Hyung Sik chided.

"Ya! It's easy for you to say, but I don't see you have any relationship." Yong Hwa was finally provoked.

"I don't need to be in relationship to know that you are just plain punishing her for leaving you." Hyung Sik scoffed, "But the funny thing is, I think it fires back to you. All I see is you're the one who's miserable in this whole situation."

"Look! Just stop being a smartypants and lay off my back. I'm perfectly fine. I know how to take care of myself while I wait for her to comeback!" Yong Hwa argued.

"Do you even tell her that you're waiting for her?" Hyung Sik said, "How would she know that you're waiting for her if you don't. Will you blame her if she moved on thinking that you're not waiting? Will you be okay to loose her because of a silly misunderstanding like that?" his forehead furrowed from the ridiculous logic.

Yong Hwa's eyes shook, the words hit him at all the right notes but he was just to proud to admit. "Just! Don't concern yourself with this... I'm perfectly fine." he stood up and walked towards the door.

"Hyung!!" Yong Hwa reluctantly faced Hyung Sik back. "She'll be in Bali, Indonesia, tomorrow morning. I thought you should know. Happy Birthday." he said.

Yong Hwa just silently looked at his boss. The last few sentence left him puzzled, so he just shrugged it off and plodded back to his office. The walk was not that far, just enough for Yong Hwa to ponder at Hyung Sik's every word.

Yes, maybe he was punishing her, maybe he wanted her to suffer as much as he was and maybe he did suffer more because of that.

And as he waited for the elevator to come, he sighed, finally surrender at the fact that he missed her. So much that it was making him sick. The frequent headaches, the ulcer and the gagging had been bothering him for weeks. Google search engine told him that it was all due to stress, he was just too stubborn to believe it. But now he admitted, he badly needed her. He needed to see her, to hear her voice, to touch her. He knew it was the only way to cure him from his stress disease.

The elevator opened, he was grateful that it was empty so he did not
