A little while later, M started to yawn.

“And she’s finally tired.” Jackson teased. He took off his black sweater hoodie which surprised her. He let her wear his hoodie as he stood up.

“Let’s go? I’ll take you back to your room.” She nodded not wanting to argue. Jackson turned his cap forwards again to hide his face.

I don’t want this to end. M thought again. She felt a hand slid on her right. Jackson intertwined his fingers with hers. She smiled at his touch. They quietly walked back in the restaurant and towards the elevators.

It was a long ride back to their floor. And the elevators was slow. It was quiet when he turned her around and hugged her while they reached their floor. She closed her eyes leaning her head into his chest.

This has got to be the most comfortable place I’ve ever been to. M thought.

Jackson leaned his his cheeks on top of her head closing his eyes while they both wait for the elevators to ding.

They both felt sad. They didn’t want this to end. When the elevator dings, they both sighed in unison knowing whatever they were having was about to end. They both let go of their hug and slowly walked back to their rooms. They were quiet when they reached in front of their doors.

M smiled trying to hide her sadness from him.

“Goodnight, Room 403.” M said. Jackson, confused. She pointed to his hotel door. He smiled back to her.

“Goodnight, Room 404.” He replied using her hotel room number. 

When M was about to turn around, Jackson pulled her back and leaned in for another kiss.

“Whatever this is right now. I don’t want to end it.” Jackson said after he let her go leaning his forehead againsts hers.

“You will forget me eventually. You’ll be okay..” She said torturing herself with the truth.

“That won’t happen.”

“Jackson..”

“Give me your phone.”

“But you’re not allowed—“

“ that, I can’t just leave you like this.” He begged as he got her phone from her. He typed in his number. He got his phone and gave it to her. She smiled seeing her scrunching face as his wallpaper. She too typed in her number.

“We’ll work on this. It will be hard. But you’re with me on this right?” He asked. She smiled.

“Okay.” He smiled as he leaned in to kiss her again.

“Go to sleep. Rest well.” She weakly said chuckling.

“I can’t let go of you.” He muttered.

“Hey, before I go. Can you promise me something?”

“Anything.”

“Stop listening to what this reads..” She pointed to his temples indicating his brain.

“And what this big brown eyes sees.” She pointed to his eyes next. He smiled.

“Always listen to what this says first, okay?” She then pointed to his chest where his heart was. He grabbed a hold on to her hand and kissed it. He nodded.

“Thank you.”

“No, thank you. You just made my year.” She smiled caressing his cheeks.

“And you made mine..” He leaned his cheeks on to her hands. It was her who pulled his face in for a last deep kiss.

“Goodnight, Jackson.”

“Goodnight, M.”
