When the first rays of Sun peek through the blinds, Sunggyu’s eyes flutter open and the most breathtaking sight ever encountered spreads itself before him. There is a small pause, for the moment, he can’t intake any air as his lungs burn, time stops upon having his gaze fixed on the male next to him. Sun bathes his soft skin ever so lovingly, Sungyeol shines while simply laying and Sunggyu wants to open his arms and envelope the younger male in his heat, bring him closer, closer, so much more close. The need to feel Sungyeol’s heartbeat, take in the sweetness of his scent that never fails to tingle his nostrils, is too great and Sunggyu curses, a word being uttered breathlessly at the situation he has been thrown into, descending gradually deeper in the insanity caused by the angel whose lips, too soft and inviting, release a series of gentle breaths and small, minuscule sounds he wishes to listen to till the end of his days, and a little longer. It’s a task almost insurmountable – to look away, take the gaze off the work of art but when he manages to do so, his breath is caught upon realising the hour.
Almost 10 am.
The alarm clock will ring in any minute and when Sunggyu drags his eyes back to Sungyeol, peacefully sleeping, he can hear each inaudible tick , toc and tack, just as if it blended with his heartbeat. There is this foreign yet familiar feeling proliferating itself across his body, filling every cell meticulously with the sense of anxiety and delivering the shivers dancing on the surface of his skin, waltzing up, higher, higher and higher until they reach his heart, squeezing it mercilessly and–
Sungyeol shifts, hugging the pillow closer to his body and in the way the corner of his lips curls subtly, Sunggyu can sense his loss, completion.
“Myungsoo…” he murmurs with the voice so warm, so soft, so affectionate, so coherent.
The alarm clock breaks.
A/N ;
in this drabble :
alarm clock is the allegory of sunggyu's heart ( that's why it breaks, not rings ).
the hour is 10 o'clock because the number 10 means completion, the end.
so when the alarm clock rings at 10am, he's anxious because it means it's the end of sunggyu's
hopes/dreams and he comes back to reality where sungyeol is in love with/thinks about myungsoo.
thought i would explain it :)
also this is killing me
i love how closer they got ( or more like...more obvious haha )
