It’s impossible not to smile. Not when he’s given to observe the ethereal picture in front of him – Sungyeol’s too large hands struggling with soft locks of black hair slipping past the empty spaces between his fingers while he attempts to tie a ponytail.

“Hurry up!” on the contrary to height, her voice is nowhere near small. The loud whining is soon followed by a gentle chuckle it elicits from Sunggyu’s lips and it only takes  one single glare of death sent by the other male for a hand to quickly shoot up in order to muffle the sounds of amusement.

“Calm down, princess, daddy is almost done” Sungyeol reassures – though more himself than her – and soon, two eyebrows meet in the look of determination, tongue shyly peeking from the corner of his lips “I swear she took the nagging after you” he adds quickly, a sly smile threatening to aquiver the straight line formed by his lips, and he doesn’t even have to steal a glance to know Sunggyu’s rolling his eyes.

“Oh really? I wonder what good you contributed”

“Looks, obviously. Have you ever seen a princess more beautiful?”

He wants to snort but at the same time, there’s so much truth lying within the words eloping Sungyeol’s lips he can only cast a glance on him. And when their eyes meet, a familiar bubbly feeling doesn’t fail to proliferate itself across his heart and push him closer.

Magic he wants to call it – the plush softness of full pink lips that smile at him, the sweetness that invites him and draws him closer, delivering a sensation similar to an electric shock – a shot of energy and heat overwhelming his body. It’s a true delicacy he wishes to savour, a taste he does not want to ever lose, tingling his taste buds, dancing on his tongue, teasing, so delectable–

“Dad!” a soft complain interrupts and when he realises the moment shared in front of their little girl, he quickly pulls away and offers a small yet most affectionate smile possible.

“Right, dad, we’re getting ready for school” mocks Sungyeol and for a moment, Sunggyu doesn’t know what’s cuter – the corners of younger’s eyes crinkling when he glances down at his daughter with the gaze so loving or their girl grinning from ear to ear, showing a gummy smile he’s sure he has seen somewhere before.

“Eunji, I think your mother doesn’t love me anymore”

It earns him an elbow in stomach.
