"WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT !!" Jennie suddenly screamed at me and I turned in her direction , my eyes wide in horror

She had seen it too...

The huge purplish and swollen bruise that drags from my side to my mid abdomen.

Where Kyu kicked me earlier.

"I- I don't-" I shook my head unsure what to say as I watched Jennie push herself on her feet and walk up to me,"It might be from a bump that I did not notice before" 

"This doesn't look like an unnoticeable bump" Her brows furrowed as she touched my bare side and I tried hard not to wince audibly, but the Huge ugly bruise is giving me away

"It looks new ...like it'll bruise more" She paused for a second before looking me straight in the eyes "Tell me.." Her gentle eyes provoked me in a way that made my eyes well up in tears 

I thought it was all going to be fine 

going to be forgotten easily 

I thought I would go on after that incident and let it be unspoken 

that I need to protect kyu's image in my best friends eyes

But it was not ...It was not okay 

I cannot keep this from them 

I didn't need to protect him, at all...

"Jen.." I burst into tears and she hugged me, wordlessly

"He.. I don't.. " My words failed me, I was far more hurt than I thought

"He? Did Yonghwa do something to you?" Her anger rose in a second making me pull away

"What? No.. No y-yonghwa" I sniffed and tried to wipe my cascading tears but in vain "If anything, Yonghwa was the reason I was not hurt more than I did." 

"I'm not following, come here" Pulling my arm gently to sit on the edge of the bed "Now, tell me everything slowly, from the start." 

I nodded and started telling everything in detail,

I started in tears but I was smiling lightly when retelling how Yonghwa came to help.

Jennie's hands clenched as her intense eyes were blazing, all while listening in silence 

"He thinks he would get away with it?" She spat

"I don't want anything to do with him" I shook my head vigorously "I just don't want to see him again, and I believe Yonghwa taught him a lesson, he won't come near me either" I held both her hands 

"Now.. Let's just sleep okay? We've had enough already" 

She held both my cheeks and looked at me gently again

"My poor baby" She whimpered "I'm so sorry, had I known, I swear I would've killed him on the spot"

"I'll be okay, it's no one's fault, and I'm alright see?" I tried to move around but I felt the pain intensify "Oww" 

"Come, let's apply ointment on it, and sleep" She sighed and I just smiled, glad she was there with me, glad I let it out..

He sighed for the nth time that night, he can't sleep knowing she was hurt

They parted way that night with her smiling but he knew she wasn't, well she tried hard to hide her limping and stubbornly assured him she was fine, but he knew that beyond the physical pain there laid a deep scar inside of her that would take ages to heal

He shot up from his bed and wore his clothes, grabbing his keys and aimed for the door but as if his body froze all of a sudden

'What are you doing?' He asked himself 'You're going to show up at her doorstep and then what?'
