She scolded herself internally, stathrowing her stuff frantically into her purse when a lipstick fell down and she got on her knees to get it, hearing footsteps coming at her she unconsciously looked through her slightly parted knees, upside down, realising her awkward stance, she lifted her head and looked at him but didn't say anything

"Wanna grab lunch with me?" Yonghwa advanced and gave her a hand to help her up , but she pretended not to see it, pushing herself up on her legs on her own

looking around, they were the only ones left in the meeting room

But she admits she was relieved his company was nowhere in sight.

"Lunch? And what is that Yonghwa-ssi? A gratitude token for bandaging your hand or making up for broken dinner plans?" She eyed him skeptically, crossing her hands against her chest.

She was surprised, since She didn't mean to come at him rudely, but acted upon Her frustration

"Can it be just a simple lunch? I'm starving" He rubbed his stomach.

"I don't know" She hesitated.

"Hmm we won't be offending your fiancé if we did that, will we?" He said emphasising the 'fiancé' word.

"And why would that Offend My Fiancé? It's just a meal, But it might if you're chased by paparazzi, Would we be caught in some scandalous articles?"

"Not really, But it's not the only thing that could possibly set him off " He discarded his files on the table and took a step towards her, making her reflexively step back, standing too close to the conference table, her back clashed with the edge making her feel trapped.

"What do you mean?" She swallowed a lump forming in by the sudden serious atmosphere that engulfed them.

"I mean.. wouldn't he be offended by what is rather real? Tabloids are bullsh*t anyway" He leaned into her making her lean back.

"I'm afraid I'm not following...?" She knew he was talking about the 'incident' in her office the last time, but she chose to play dumb since She wasn't even the least bit prepared to talk about it.

" I mean the last time in your office, us kissing" As if he wasn't invading her personal space enough, He placed his hands on either sides of her on the table, and she brought her hands up to his chest in defense, ready to push him if He dared come an inch closer.

"B-but we did not kiss"

"We didn't, but the things that I'm sure we both felt, are you trying to turn a blind eye on that? Because you can't"

"What are you implying" She feigned anger, and tried to push him for real but He wouldn't budge. his eyes were somewhat dangerous, possessive..

"I can't understand you sometimes Seohyun, The woman who was in my arms waiting for me to kiss her is not the same as this engaged and defensive one" His eyes were now judging, Her eyes flicked back and forth to his own in shock

She knew he'd think this way but hearing him say it in person was insulting.

" You're catching me off-guard and making me look bad! And a kiss is not the end of the world!! nontheless it didn't actually happen, can we look past it? We're both adults and we can make mistakes too" She met his gaze as he chuckled at her babbling, looking all nervous and cute.

"It's not like it'll happen again, besides Your girlfriend wouldn't like it as well, so if you keep it to yourself it'll be a win-win" Her face registered hurt at the mention of So Hee, and his heart thumped both from shock and her  misunderstanding him.

'She had no right to get mad or hurt, he's the damaged party'

She recovered her composure as quickly as she felt weakness within her

"But she's- " As his grip weakened she was able to push him away

"Joo Seohyun!!" He groaned when she escaped his grip

"If you'll excuse me, I have an appointment, And I hope for the both of us to keep it professional at work, we could be 'Friends' outside of the company if you like" She talked with her back him as she stood few inches from the door then exited.

By the next day, It was Not that hectic like it's used to but Seohyun felt more relaxed that it feels strange, relaxation was a rare word used At The Joo corp,
