Chapter 5 – Strength

Eric’s POV

         I followed Katherine outside. Her beta and some of her allies followed too. I could see that their bodies were rigid and they had anger in their eyes. But the most was Katherine. I didn’t know what was happening. Even if I asked I bet no one was going to answer me. I looked at Alex and saw that he was as confused as I was.

         What in the world was happening?  We all followed them till they reached a clearing hidden within the forest. When we reached I could hear people shouting and growling. It wasn’t long before I could see that there were werewolves in their wolf form fighting.

         “Enough.” Katherine shouted with Alpha voice and in a moment everyone quiet down. She stared at 5 werewolves and nodded her head. They immediately backed down and stood behind her. There were another 6 there and they stood their ground not leaving their eyes that was rested on her.

         The middle one, which I assumed was the leader, took a step in front.  “What are you doing here?” she half shouted at them. Everyone flinched at the tone of her voice.  Even I did.

         “We’ve came to deliver a message. But your minions didn’t let us pass through so we had to make a way here.” He said through our minds. I could hear them him speaking because I had Alpha blood running in my veins. Only Alphas or mates and speak to each other no matter what form they are in.

 “What message?” she asked sharply while the corner of her eyes narrowed.

“Our Alpha said that you will soon find out the truth and you will regret ever hating the Solaris pack. We do not hate you. We know how you feel. We are just telling you the truth. Once you find the murderer you will know the truth about everything .You will feel betrayed. Everything that was hidden from you since you were born.”

         I cringed at that thought. What does he mean? What murderer. I could see that Katherine too was shocked like me. But that shock soon turned to anger.  In a second she grabbed the Alpha by his neck and pushed him down so he was lying on the grass. She then put her foot on his stomach and tightened her hold on his neck.

         Every one of us stared in awe. How could she do that? She was in her human form and that was an Alpha and he is in his wolf form. He tried to get up by struggling but didn’t succeed because her hold on him was too strong. “I don’t know what you are talking about. But now, I want you to get out of my land and don’t come back.” She said in a harsh voice.

         She let go of him slowly and watched as they all ran towards the forest. Everyone in my pack couldn’t help but stare at her. She was so strong and perfect. No wonder she is the Alpha.

         She turned towards me and her faces immediately soften. I couldn’t help but shiver when I felt the tingles flowed throughout my body. “Sorry about that.” She directed that to me. I nodded and she turned her gaze to her warriors.

         “Anyone hurt?” she asked. I’m surprised that she could be nice in a second and angry in a second. Her mood changes like the wind. One of them shook their head. “Okay, go back and check the perimeter. I don’t want any more disturbances.” She commanded and immediately all of them took off running.

         “I think we are quite down with everything. We should go back. Our pack does not want to make you feel any more uncomfortable than you are now.” I said to her. She nodded her head and said, “Thank you for coming. You can come by anytime you want.” I smiled at that. Looks like I’m welcomed here. I’m still her mate so it isn’t counted as trespassing.

         All of us head back to our pack house and before after everyone when back to their rooms I turned to face Alex. “What the hell? You almost gave me a heart attack. You didn’t tell me that the Alpha was a girl.” I yelled at him. All he did was laugh out loud at me. “Dude, you should really look at your face just now and now. It was so damn funny I needed to control my laugh.” He chuckled.

        “This is so not funny. Oh God.” I said and then put my head in my hands. “What the hell is wrong with you?” Alex asked. Although I couldn’t really sense any concern in his voice because he was laughing too much I still answered. “She’s my freaking mate.”

         That made him chock and he looked at me with surprise in his face. This time it was me that couldn’t control my laughter. I laughed at his expression and all he did was look at me. “What the hell man. Are you freaking kidding me?” he asked in a serious tone.

“I am so not lying. She is my mate and I’m serious about it.” I said.

       “Well it’s about time. I thought that you were going to grow old alone. Congratulations.” He said to me. I nodded my head. “I need to go and do some work. You can go and train the others.” I said and head to my office.

Kat’s POV

         I couldn’t take those words out of my mind. What does he mean by real murderer? Isn’t he the murderer? I kept on thinking about what he was trying to say that I didn’t realize that it was already night. I also didn’t realize that I had already fallen asleep. I looked at the clock and it said that it was just 1 in the morning.

        I could feel that my muscle was sore and my wolf was begging for a good run. I ran out of the pack house as quiet was a mouse, trying really hard not to wake anyone up. When I was outside I took of my clothes and shifted. The midnight breeze was refreshing and I let my wolf take over. She ran and ran without stopping.

         The trees blurred pass us when we ran. Before I realized it, my wolf was taking me to the firestone pack’s territory. Ugh, I should have known. She wanted to be with her mate. She didn’t stop until we reached a figure by a river. The moon was up and I could see that it was a beautiful place.

         When we arrived the wolf turned around and our eyes met. I recognize him and knew that he was Eric. My wolf was shouting at me to go to him. But I didn’t want to do it. He suddenly came closer to me and I his nose.

        I was shocked with my own reaction. What the hell did I just do? I just him? Oh my god. It was a good thing I couldn’t blush in this form. I turned around and started walking away but he didn’t let me go he suddenly pounced at me and I turned around to face him. He suddenly shifted to his human form and looked at me. “Don’t run away. You’re not allowed to do that.” To my surprise I followed his order. I didn’t struggle to get free.

         I shifted under him and looked at him. “Get off me?” I asked him.
