The sun was setting as the sky showed a picturesque view, and it was like the view from outside their car window was like a magnificent portrait, a painting that seemed to captivate you. A few birds made their way back to their homes, travelling in groups as the sun said its final goodbyes, hiding behind the mountains, bidding farewell before letting the night take over, saying that it will come again soon. The last rays of the sun landed on Taehyung's eyes, showcasing his dark brown orbs that seemed to dazzle under the sun's rays, and that's when Jin diverted his eyes from the road to the enchanting pair of eyes that belonged to his younger brother.

"Are you feeling alright?" Jin asked with concern in his voice, looking over to Taehyung who just smiled at him, giving his older brother a nod before chuckling. It was Taehyung's first time travelling with someone other than his parents, driving out of the city, away from the crowds. The bright city lights were replaced with a mountainous landscape, and the noise from the overcrowded streets were out of the picture, the sound of the birds chirping and the wind blowing now filling their ears. It was good to escape and just go to places far from the city once in a while, and Jin was more than happy to bring Taehyung around, since it was his first time travelling with someone as well, with only the both of them without rules, regulations, criticism and people judging from every corner; it was just them with no one there to stop them.

"I'm having so much fun," Taehyung said, happiness trailing in his voice as he laughed, his eyes forming two crescent moons as his eyesmile was shown. Bringing his hand to reach out to Jin's, he intertwined his older brother's fingers in his and that's when he settled Jin's hand in his lap. Jin looked down to see his hand in a place where it wasn't supposed to be, but Taehyung's gentle grip as he caressed the back of his hand told him that yes, it was alright, and as if reading his mind, Taehyung said in a hushed whisper, "It's okay."

Without noticing it, he tightened the hold that was on the car wheel and his stomach flipped at least once or twice, and realized it was because of this dark haired boy right next to him, still holding onto his hand, still smiling like there was no tomorrow. Taehyung was his name, and ever since he came into his life, that name just seemed to repeat in his head again and again and Jin thought he was going insane. There was something about Taehyung that seemed to pull him in closer, like Taehyung had a magnetic force that seemed to reel him in, and it was impossible to escape. Taehyung was a maze, and he was hard to figure out since he kept everything to himself, but eventhough he stayed silent most of the time, he was like the missing puzzle piece that Jin had been looking for all this time, to complete his life, and he didn't know this until Taehyung proved to him that he really was the one Jin had been searching for, making him grin without any reason at all, making him laugh at the stupidest things, yet, making him feel incomplete if he didn't see Taehyung at least once a day.

"You look really cool driving," Taehyung complimented him, making Jin smile, a chuckle leaving his lips. Suddenly, he felt proud of himself - he rarely got compliments, but this one was different compared to the rest.

"Don't I always look cool?" Jin joked, and that's when Taehyung laughed, his eyesmile showing once again. Of course, Jin always looked cool, but Taehyung didn't say anything else since his already flushed face would turn more red, mirroring the color of the sunset outside their windows. The speed of the car was even more steady compared to their heartbeats, but no one would dare to utter a single word since the silence cradled them like how a baby wants to be cradled by its mother, and it felt wonderful.

"I love your smile," it was Jin's turn to compliment Taehyung this time and it just made his younger brother nod and thank him with his head lowered because he was now shy, wondering how he really looked like smiling like that because Jin loved his smile. Just by receiving this small compliment, Taehyung's heart shook and ached before it turned into goo for the nth time.

Taehyung had no idea where they were going, but he let Jin lead their way, trusting him and leaving everything to him, as he continued to gaze at the long road in front of them, with a smile on his lips.

Before they knew it, they were already at a beach, with Taehyung placing the picnic blanket down for them to sit on. The night air was caressing their faces as they gazed at the stars. Busan was less crowded compared to Seoul, but the beaches were amazing, Taehyung thought, as he grinned once more. Since it was late at night, they didn't spot anyone else there, but them, and deep inside, Jin knew this was going to happen, and he intended for this to happen because he wanted some alone time with his younger brother, to talk about things that were bothering him, to give Taehyung time to open up about stuff he wanted to share with Jin. In reality, Jin was more than nervous, his heartbeat gradually increasing since he was unsure if Taehyung liked this or not, if Taehyung wanted to go someplace else, but when he felt Taehyung scoot over, the picnic blanket shuffling under their weight, he forgot how to breathe. Taehyung rested his head on his shoulder, and right there, Jin didn't know what to do. He knew he was supposed to at least bring his younger brother closer, trapping him in his embrace, but he sat there, numb and his heartbeat resounding in his ears, as well as Taehyung's. Oh, how he wished Taehyung wouldn't hear how loud his heart was beating.

Jin knew very well that he was supposed to do something with his hands, maybe to bring Taehyung a little bit closer to him, but with his brain saying no and his heart saying yes, it was difficult. But then again, he didn't need to say anything, or do anything because his younger brother read his mind once again, bringing his body closer to him, sharing his warmth and letting Jin believe that he wasn't the only one who had his heart jumping out of his chest as he heard Taehyung's heartbeat echo in his ears. Mustering all the courage he could find, Taehyung did the first move yet again, wrapping Jin's left arm around him, letting his fingers graze over Jin's fingertips before letting go and situating his arm around Jin's waist this time.

"You shouldn't be afraid to touch me," Taehyung whispered, his voice reaching Jin's ears and that sent shivers down his older brother's spine, Taehyung's voice so sweet, so gentle, like the calm swooshing sound of the waves lapping gently against the shore. Taehyung looked at him with eyes full of innocence, his eyes shining brighter than the moon. That sentence held a really deep meaning to Jin, but he was worried, so worried that he'd break him. Taehyung was too fragile, too precious.

Jin might have embraced Taehyung and held him close, but he felt like he couldn't do more than that since he respected Taehyung. Eventhough Taehyung didn't mind his older brother showing affection, Jin still gave him some space, thinking his younger brother's welfare was far more important.

"I'm not afraid, it's just that I don't want to hurt you," Jin whispered back, his voice low and clear in the dark, and he meant it. He didn't want to hurt Taehyung. But Taehyung was right - he was scared. This feeling was all new to Jin, liking someone, liking someone so much that it hurt, caring for someone so much that you think even the slightest touch would break them, yet, he was afraid Taehyung would fly away and disappear if he let go of him, or maybe even shatter, and Jin didn't want that. He was afraid.

Hearing his older brother's reply just made Taehyung push him back gently, Jin's back coming into contact with the soft sand, and he was more than surprised by this sudden action. He had no idea where Taehyung got his confidence from, furthermore, he also had no idea where this side of Taehyung came from, but he figured that he triggered it. With Taehyung hovering over him now, he leaned down, and Jin's breath hitched, and though only a second passed, he felt like his brain exploded along with his heart.

"You're my brother. You won't hurt me," Taehyung whispered huskily, his breath reaching Jin's ears, tickling his neck, till it reached his nape, and he felt himself shudder, and he had no idea why. Their legs were tangled once again, and they let their toes get buried in the soft, white sand like how Jin was buried in Taehyung's warmth, and it felt so good - he was in pure bliss.
