The war was at its peak when it arrived. In the middle of a heated discussion, the sound of the powerful, newly polished car engine caught the eye. At first, his presence was uncomfortable, as time went by, it started to become disconcerting and in the midst of jobs and armed conflicts, surrounded by internal conflicts, I found myself in love with the only person I could never have.

heejin thought she'd just silently yearn for her best friend until she got over her. that is, until cupid winds up in her bed offering to help her. except, heejin never counted on falling in love with cupid.

Hyunjin becomes the hero of the day thanks to an awesome looking bruise and an origin story, that turns out to be a bit far-fetched. Or the one where Hyunjin tries to act cool, but Heejin knows better.

Whether it's falling in love under dim yellow lights or blindly in the dark, it's always Hyunjin for Heejin.

Hyunjin looks pretty right side up and even upside down. Five-year-old Heejin and eighteen-year-old Heejin could agree on that no matter how much everything changes. or Hyunjin doesn't count how many paper cranes she makes in her lifetime, but she's pretty sure she has made enough for Heejin to make a wish.

In preparing for the crown, Hyunjin never counted on falling in love with a girl, her handmaiden (aka best friend), nonetheless. In a dichotomy between her heart and her people, Hyunjin finds herself at a loss.
