Foreword

i disappeared for a bit bc i decided to stan dreamcatcher and lost myself in hyperfixation but im back again! i've always wanted to write something like this. title comes from hozier's wasteland baby. for some reason, i pictured this taking place in a city like new york city but i suppose there's nothing specific about the setting other than "city."

As much as I wanted a happy ending, I understand why thinfs had to be this way. It reall really really , I had wished and hope that it couldve been possible, that they will stay together. Im gonna cry tonight

Chapter 1: This was so beautiful. It had everything from the helpful deity when it comes to falling in love, to fake dating, and then mutual pining for one another. And then it ended in heartbreak, for both 2jin and me. My gosh was this an incredible story. I desperately wanted a happy ending, but I do see why this was the way it needed to end. Is it wrong of me to want a continuation where they can be together? I definitely understand if it won't come, but in my heart I'd still hope for it.
Your writing is incredibly immersive. It's kept simple where it needs to be, but then becomes very deep and thoughtful in other areas. I didn't expect to read the whole thing in one sitting, but I did and I'm happy to have done it. Now, unfortunately, I'm just in a bit of pain.
Either way, thank you for this story! It was an amazing read.
