Appearance : Zoren is a standout person. With a tan skin, bleached blonde hair and sharp eyebrows to match with his striking eyes. Hes not really a korean standard visual, but by himself, hes very charming. His body is tattooed and muscled despite his smaller stature, adding to his strong look. But contrasting that all is a cute, kinda awkward looking smile.
Fashion : Zoren is a very fashionable person, having the dream of owning a fashion line later in life. He dresses in dark and edgy clothing and likes to play around with volume and shape in his outfits. He sticks to a color scheme of black, white and red for his personal wardrobe but is willing to wear other colors while performing. Choeun has been taking advantage of his fashion sense by having him as their stylist. They now got one less staff member to pay and they force him to do it for no extra pay (as if he gets paid anyway). Zoren even put together the group's audition outfits. Even during training, when everyone appears in sweats and birds nest hair, Zoren will still make himself look fashion forward somehow. He will never appear unpolished.

Creative: Zoren is a very creative mind. It doesn't only show in his performances, but he also has a lot of creative hobbies. His most well-known one is his fashion and styling, but he also doodles, produces and even crochets. If he can't explore his ideas for a prolonged amount of time, Zoren will begin to experience stress. This is why he always has a notebook with him. It's filled to the brim with doodles that he made while feeling nervous, outfit ideas that he drew at 3am after dreaming of them and lyrics he randomly jotted down while grabbing some dinner.
Determined and envious: Zoren is very goal-motivated. Once he sets a goal, he will do anything to achieve it, and those goals will hardly ever change even after interference from others. He's very headstrong when it comes to his dreams and he believes that anyone can achieve theirs as long as they dedicate a lot of time and passion to it. One problem that arose when Zoren started failing at his goals though, is that he is envious towards those who have actually achieved what he wants to achieve. Especially if it has come to them in an easier manner, seemingly thrown into their laps. While he doesn't show this side often, people that know him well notice it, especially if he's in an emotional state. He has even become jealous of his sister, who actually got to debut in the Philippines while his own debut got cancelled. He feels horrible for feeling like this, and would prefer if he could be genuinely happy for the people he loves, but it is an unstoppable feeling for him.
Caring: While Zoren is not really a people person, he does have a very caring side to him. He will always help people without any word or complaint, even if it means deviating from his goals for just a moment. He will always stay late to help Beam with his choreography and to teach him the ropes, he always translates for him and other people since his english is good, and he will always offer a listening ear to his friends in hard times. Just a listening ear though, advice is a bit harder to get from him.
Respectful: despite his rougher image, Zoren was raised to be well-mannered and respectful. He knows a lot about korean culture and you will never see him doing anything that could even hurt a fly. Some people even say that he is too formal. But Zoren greatly values respect and believes that you earn it by giving it as well. On the show, if he ever befriends a foreigner that is from a culture unknown to him, he will ask about their customs so he can respect them.
Quiet and shy: He is definitely not a people person. It's not that he dislikes people, no not at all, he actually loves many and believes that people are naturally good, but he just isn't much of a talker, you know? He always worries about his own words and is so scared of making a mistake or saying something wrong that he just prefers to keep his mouth shut for himself. He will talk if it is to help others, but good luck trying to hold a convo with him. But at least he got a little friend that does double the amount of talking to make up for it.
Gullible: Zoren is very easily fooled with pretty much anything if done strategically. Because he really believes in the good in people, he often forgets that people can also lie and make him believe false things. Beam has told him many many fake Thai customs that Zoren now believes, simply because Beam told them. He also used to believe in the many false promises Choeun made to him so he would sign with them and join 2LITE. He has learned the hard way that some people just aren't good and honest people.
Secretive: Since Zoren is more of a listener and not a talker, he tends to not reveal much about his own life. Since his sister is a rising star in the Phillipines, he also fears the leech accusations if he ever talked about that. He wants to be known for his own talents, skills and performance, not what happened to him in his life. He just prefers to keep things hidden so people's judgement of him doesnt change in any way.
BACKGROUND
Zoren was born as the second child in Pagadian city in the Philippines. From a young age, both him and his older sister Florence loved music. Even when they were just in elementary and kindergarten, they were already dreaming of becoming singers and performers, which their parents didn't really appreciate. It's not that they wanted their kids to be doctors or something, but it was more that they were afraid of how their kids would do in the spotlight and the harsh world of being a singer, and the job is always very unstable. They always gave more support to Florence though, because she had a bright and open personality, while Zoren was a shy little bean. Even to this day, they still warn him all the time about how they don't think his personality is a fit for the idol industry. But Zoren was determined, and in his whole life, he never changed his dream of becoming a singer.
His big sister debuted as soloist when she was 17 under a small Filipino company. Zoren was training under the same company as well. Kpop hadn't had its boom yet, so groups weren't as big of a thing. Watching his sister debut made Zoren feel more determined but he also felt envy welling up, which he didn't like. He thought his debut would come as well in a few years time so he kept working diligently. A few boys gathered around him as the company made plans for a boy group. Even though his sister was doing well as new singer, the company closed their doors in 2016, after four years. The boss basically decided he was done with the industry and ran off with all the money. His sister immediately got a contract at a new company, but Zoren and his predebut group had more difficulties.
In the same year, Zoren caught wind of a Filipino trying to break into the much bigger kpop scene. It was Kriesha Chu. Zoren felt like she was so brave for trying to get into a big industry that no Filipino had ever stepped foot into before. He watched her run on kpop star 6 and felt inspired. Zoren started doing loads of research, discovering the kpop industry and its systems and he felt like it really was something for him. He could sing, dance, rap and everything and thought this was where he should be instead of in his homecountry. Korea was where his place was, his debut failure made these feelings even stronger. So against his parents' will, he packed his bags and departed, only having little money and a big dream.
The start wasn't easy, when he arrived in 2017, Zoren immediately took on a part-time job and would constantly apply and audition to companies, from big to absolutely tiny. But no one wanted him. He had a lot of unpolished talent and an amazing low voice, but his visuals weren't liked. He was a handsome guy, but not up to Korean standards at all. He was a tan Filipino, and unfortunately many companies don't want that. After almost a full year of auditioning, Zoren heard of Choeun, a small company looking for trainees. Choeun had one boy group under their name, 2LITE, that had seen many members come and go. When he went to audition, Choeun offered him a contract, and Zoren was over the moon. But turns out they were lying to him, making everything look way more attractive than it was. The contract said that they were going to debut him in a new group, but in the end, he got added to 2LITE two years later. It was a contract breach, but Zoren is unfortunately poor as , so he has no resources to sue.
When he joined 2LITE, he barely knew the members, and he immediately felt a cold shiver during their first group training session. Most of them were quite cold towards him, and Zoren didn't really feel like he was wanted. The group had been going for 8 years by now, and only a few of the original members were left. They would mostly stick together, and the newer you were, the less you'd get to talk. Especially the other rapper, Kitae, was very cold towards him. But Zoren could finally debut and stand on stage, so he took all of the lies and exclusion and kept on fighting for his spot in the group. No one had as much passion as him, and a lot of the fans that weren't akgaes had a lot of praise for him. He quickly rose to become one of the more popular members, especially among the fans from his own country, to the dismay of some of the less popular older members. Behind his backs, they accused him of hogging the spotlight, for literally just existing and being a little ball of talent.
2LITE was failing, only a few members having individual success, and until now, Zoren has only joined them in one release, but he was stuck there. But hey, at least he could perform, right? When Genesis88 was announced, Choeun decided to throw whatever was left of the lineup into the show. Kitae really did not agree with it. Originally it was only going to be Kitae, Siyoon and Zoren, but then one of their female trainees got added, Sumi. A girl much, much younger and with a very different concept from them, yet they were told to audition together. Kitae decided on the audition song, which wasn't the concept of neither Siyoon nor Sumi, but he didn't care. The group was a mess, and they really didn't think it would go well. Maybe that was Kitae's purpose?
A few weeks before recording began, Choeun came in with even more bad news. Siyoon had gotten a lucrative last minute acting offer, so he couldn't join Genesis88. When the manager came to announce the news, he was noticeably wary of what Kitae's reaction would be. Behind him was a tall, very young looking trainee, trying his hardest to hide, but his height was stopping him. The manager introduced him as Beam, and he would be replacing Siyoon, which would mean that he was also becoming the newest member of 2LITE. Kitae was fuming, Siyoon also wasn't happy, and Zoren felt horrible for this poor child. He was 7 years younger than him, had barely began training and definitely wasn't ready and barely even spoke Korean. This poor child was being thrown into the lion's den completely unprepared, so Zoren decided to do everything he could to protect Beam from everything, and teach him the ropes. Even though Beam would always say that he's a deadweight, his addition gave Zoren new hope for their future. He had the skills to be a star, but Beam had the personality to be a star. Together they could become great.

Hello, please introduce yourself : hello, I am the rising sun from the Philippines, Zoren Ajero. It's nice to meet you.
What is your reason for joining the show? : Me and my group, 2LITE, we are on our last ditch effort to make it into the industry. This show could be our last chance... Who knows what the future brings if we don't make it here?
What do you consider your strengths? : I am a good dancer and rapper, I can sing too, but the standout thing about me is my voice.
Is there anything new you want to try on the show? : I want to try singing more, I don't get a lot of opportunity in my group. But I also want to be able to show my lyrics, maybe in a position battle?
What is your view on Genesis88? : It is a blessing, but it can also be a curse.
Would you ever try to compete for the center or leader role? : Me? Center? Uh... I mean... I do have the desire, but I don't know if I would actually compete for it... Maybe I should? Leader is a no-go though... I don't have such capabilities I think.
And finally, what advice would you have for your younger self that's about to audition for the first time? : Don't give up, but also be more picky with your companies. You are talented and skilled and beautiful, don't believe anything otherwise.

Florence is Zoren's succesful big sis. An up and coming pop soloist in the Philippines that got everything Zoren wanted. While she's a lovely gal, she's very busy, naturally, and so is Zoren. Because of this and Zoren's jealousy, they've been growing apart, which makes them quite sad. She's openly promoting Zoren's Genesis88 participation all the time, she really is proud of him. When Zoren joined 2LITE, Kitae was not the official leader yet. Their original leader hadn't officially left the group yet while Zoren pretty much never met the guy. But once he was officially appointed, things got even colder than before. Kitae is not welcoming of new members, and would rather keep fighting with the old lineup. But with Siyoon disappearing to acting gigs more and more, and two of the main guys gone, it's hard to keep their heads above water. Kitae is the least popular member of 2LITE until Beam joined, and Zoren had surpassed him very quick, which hurts him, but he hates to admit it. (fc: Boys republic's Minsu)

Beam is the newest member of 2LITE. When everyone expected Zoren to be the last one, the hit came at the most unexpected moment. He got hastily added to the group to fill up Siyoon's spot. Originally he was going to train longer before being added. Because of this, Beam is not ready for the idol world yet since this is pretty much his first time getting proper training. Zoren feels bad for this kid, since he's much younger and Kitae treats him even worse, so he decided to take this child under his wings. Siyoon was supposed to go on Genesis88 instead of Beam, but as an up and coming actor, he got offered an amazing role for a kdrama, so they decided to prioritize that. Siyoon is one of 2LITE's popular guys and the only one still left from those members. While he's not bad like Kitae, Zoren and Beam both feel that he agrees with him, and would've preferred them not to join. But Siyoon is a decent guy, so they're friendly with each other. After Jasper made waves on produce 101 and debuted in Wanna One, the other guys could almost taste the fame themselves. So Yonggi and another former member decided to join The Unit. They were both very popular on the show, but in the end Yonggi ranked 3rd, but the other member ended up placing 10th and barely not making the cut. Yonggi got extra fame from being in UNB and his visuals being shown to the world, but unlike Jasper, he returned to 2LITE after UNB's disbandment. He and the other member were still in 2LITE when Zoren joined, but after that, they left. They couldn't feel the spark anymore and their contracts ended so they hurried out of there. Despite that, Yonggi is friendly towards Zoren and is supporting him on the show, but people have noticed that Yonggi is only voicing support for Zoren and Beam, but not for Kitae, his old friend... Everyone knows his name, Jasper Kim. Previously the leader of 2LITE until he went on Produce 101 season 2, and his humor and personality made him incredibly popular. He came onto the show as a failure, but left a winner as he ended up debuting, ranking 8th in the finale. That was the start of 2LITE's survival show reign. After Jasper did his time as leader and heart and soul of Wanna One, Choeun decided to debut him as soloist instead of return him to the 'nobodies' that were 2LITE. So Zoren actually never performed together with Jasper. But despite the company being against it, Jasper still drops by often and really supports the new guys. Brief group history : 2LITE is a big mess of a group, more like different pieces of a group that's glued together by a toddler. Out of the original lineup, only Kitae is still left. Jasper was the original leader despite not being the oldest, and he still feels more like a leader than Kitae despite him not being allowed to really talk to them. They were floating by, Super fly gaining some good popularity internationally. But they were managed horribly so all the popularity they got was fumbled by Choeun.
The first time they really made waves was when Jasper and another member named Jisoo joined Produce 101 season 2. Jasper debuted in Wanna one while Jisoo made top 35. They all got hope, but the group didnt realise they'd never get Jasper back. After that, Yonggi and another member named Taerae joined The Unit. Yonggi got 3rd place and joined UNB, but Taerae placed 10th.

Trainee and/or idol life :
Zoren didn't have it easy during training. First he trained in the Philippines, not getting any opportunities and it all ending in a scam while his sister got to debut and shine. It made him jealous and quite sad, despite him not wanting to feel like this.
After learning about Kriesha Chu and deciding to make the move to Korea, no company wanted him. He didn't have the desired visuals and a very low voice, and his ethnicity didn't help at all either. But Choeun offered him a contract, promising him to debut in a new group... That wasn't 2LITE. But two years later, after basically having to train himself, he got added to that group instead. And no one liked that. The older members were a bit cold, except Yonggi and Siyoon, who were decent enough to still be friendly with him. But behind his back, many members accused him of trying to hog the spotlight and throwing off the group... Just for being talented and passionate. Zoren never felt welcome...
Life on Genesis88 :
At first, Zoren was really worried and nervous, even resulting in him messing up the audition and getting a low grade. But he vouched to work hard and prove everyone wrong. He's the type that doesn't say much, but stays up late to work hard both for himself and to help others, mostly Beam at the start. He really promised Beam to get through it together, so they're often practicing until the late hours. By the time he makes a few friends and becomes more comfortable, he loosens up, performs his heart out and starts to show his charms.
The audition : The audition was horrible. Kitae decided that they would perform B.A.P's One shot Asides from Kitae, only Zoren kinda fit that song, and they literally had no vocals to carry Daehyun and Youngjae's lines. While the leader was unbothered and really didn't want to be there, Beam and Zoren were both nervous wrecks.
When the audition began, Zoren started the song off, as he was the low voice guy of the group. He started well, dancing, spitting his bars, but in line 3, he messed up the lyrics. Because of that, his performance completely crashed. He tried his best to recover but he couldn't, causing poor Zoren to panick and start messing up the choreography as well. It didn't help that the whole first minute of the song was only him. He only managed to recover himself a bit near the end.
Kitae gave a very lame performance without enthusiasm. Beam was very enthusiastic, but his dancing wasn't on point and since he got all the vocal lines, he couldn't hit the notes well.
It was an overall mess and they got a lot of negative comments, but the mentors also showed pity for zoren and beam. They were not offered any more opportunities to redeem themselves because they weren't in the right mental state to do so.
