Spoiler Tags Now Active

Having spoiler tags on a writing site makes sense. You're now able to write spoilers in all comment areas and hide them by surrounding them in
tags just like this
. This will hide your spoiler until you either hover over it or click on it (for the mobile touch users out there). You can actually use spoiler tags in places other than in comment areas like on your wall so if you're curious, just try it out to see if it works.

I've had this feature on my to-do list for a while mostly because there are some possible techical snags in implementing it (and someone also made the same suggestion in the comments in my last blog post that reminded me of it). There is the possibility that some site processes may slow down a little bit so I'll have to monitor that more starting today. Also, not every browser and device may render the spoilers the same way and since I don't own every possible device available, I won't know if it's broken until someone tells me it is for their particular browser / device. That's also the reason why I won't be documenting this new feature on the site yet and only letting my blog followers know so I can limit any issues to early adopters until I can make fixes if anything's broken.

Anyway, try it out the next time you're discussing a plot and never be yelled at for revealing spoilers again! I recommend you add an extra warning though like "SPOILERS AHEAD!
The cake is a lie.
" since spoiler tags are still new here and not everyone may be familiar with them.

Happy almost-Friday!

Edit: Some people are confused with how to use the tags. These are the spoiler tags:

. To use them, you type "
your text here
". You have to type "spoiler" inside the brackets. Make sure you remember to add the closing
tag after your text or else your whole comment will be masked.

I hope this feature will work on the story. Because I want to use it to hide scene on the story, so readers that don't want to read scene can easily skip it with spoiler feature.
