APPEARANCE ) Jaehee's height is more on the short side, as she stands at a mere 157cm. Her weight is average, though she is quite slender. Her pale skin is unblemished without any scars, birthmarks or tattoos. Her eyes are different though, as her right eye is of a lighter brown than her left. She has wavy, reddish brown hair that reaches past her shoulders and that she never ties up.

STYLE ) Jaehee carries a thick, leatherbound spellbook. She's supposed to rely on the book for help on controlling her magic, and the book has spells on devastating shadow magic, which she's supposed to read from during battle to get the shadows to do her bidding. Unfortunately, this method doesn't work for her, so more often than not, she finds herself using the book to bash attackers on the head with, before fleeing. She also carries a small dagger sheathed at her waist, though she rarely uses it as she's horrible at hand to hand combat.

As for her combat clothes, Jaehee wears a simple black shirt and shirts. On top, she wears a plain black hooded cloak which reaches to the floor. As for her shoes, she wears boots that stop several inches below her kness and are of the same colour as her shirt and vest. The only decorations she wears is a simple pendant around her neck given to her for good luck and safety.

PERSONALITY )
➳ Gullible
➳ Positive
➳ Socially awkward
➳ Helpful
➳ Generous
➳ Prone to lying
➳ Reckless

Because of the fact that Jaehee grew up without much interaction with people, she thus has no experience in telling when someone has less than good intentions. She always sees the good in other, whoever they are, and always prefers to think positively of them rather than otherwise. She always believes whatever others say because of this, leading to the fact that many take advantage of her and trick her. However, instead of holding it against these people, Jaehee always ends up forgiving them easily, believing any words of apologies. As she has never been exposed to the harsh side of the world, Jaehee has the mindset that everything will end up well, and that bad scenarios never happen, thus she has a very positive view on the world around her. Because of this, she's always cheerful regardless of what's happened to her, and often, her inoocent happiness infects others and causes them to smile.

Also due to how she never had much chance to talk to others, Jaehee therefore doesn't really know how to act in uncomfotable and awkward situations. She often finds her struggling to think of appropriate ways to deal with it, but often it backfires, and she ends up blurting out or doing things that might worsen the situation. As Such, she has taken to simply sneaking off as soon as she can rather than face the problem. Jaehee doesn't like dealing with things and most of the time, will end up running away from problems rather than standing her ground and facing them.

Jaehee is also a very generous and helpful person as she hates seeing others as less than heppy. She's forever giving away her money to the homeless and poor, sharing her food with starving animals and lending a hand to anyone who needs it, regardless of whether they asked for help or not. She also forgives very easy. She hates condemning others, thus even when she catches someone trying to pickpocketet her or stealing something, instead of reporting them, she instead pays for them or gives them some money before telling them not to do it again. This often leads to more people taking advantage of her knidness, not that she notices. Unfortunately, Jaehee's kindness oftens lends her in trouble as she's always rushing to help others without thinking of the consequences first.

However, despite her huge heart, Jaehee does have a bad habit. She lies a lot. As she is finally able to have freedom after so long, she is determined to keep it that way and thus is very prone to lying her way out of trouble. Even when the truth won't land her in the hot soup, she somehow manages to delude herself into thinking that it will, and lies even more.

BACKGROUND )
Hoswell is a kingdom steeped in elemental magic. Its people are masters of the elements and for a Hoswell native to be born without the ability to harness any one element, it is considered the most shameful ting to happen and is reagrded as a curse that befalls parents who have commited horrible deeds.

Unfortuantely for the king of Hoswell, his only daughter was born without any elemental magic. Ashamed, he lied to the public that the child had been a stillborn, and then proceeded to lock Jaehee up, away from the eyes of his citizens. Thus, Jaehee grew up alone in a section of the castle grounds that were sealed off for her to live in. It wasn't a bad life; she had her own garden, her own little cottage and a small army of personal servants that were sworn to secrecy. But it was lonely. She wasn't allowed to step foot outside of the grounds, and she never had the chance to interact with anyone else except for her servants and parents who visted occassionally.

Then, several days after she turned 17, she was kidnapped after one of her servants had given her away for money. The kidnappers had originally planned to use her to blackmail the king. They would reveal her to the public unless he did as they asked of him and made several adjustments to the way the kingdom was governed. When she found out what the kidnappers' plans for her were, Jaehee was angry. Angry at these evil men, angry at her own inability to use magic, and angry at how she was unable to do anything to help. Or so she thought.

Deep in her heart, she knew both herself and Hoswell's peace were in danger. And she didn't want anything to happen to Hoswell, her father's pride and joy. And the knowledge of the dnager awoke something dark and ancient inside her. She found herself becoming a different person, almost as if switching personalities. She was still aware of what was going on, as if she was looking outside through a window, but she was unable to control her actions and the very powerful magic that she suddenly appeared to have. She was helpless to stop herself as she harnessed the shadows around her to attack the kidnappers, slicing them, stabbing them until they were gone. It was only then did she return to her usual self.

After that, she fled and ran back home. Unsure of what to do, she told the one person she was closest to, her caregiver, who in turn told the king. The king was shocked and ordered for his best scholars to find out what had happened. Eventually, after much research, it was found out that Jaehee had a very ancient and powerful magic; magic that could destroy entire kingdoms. Only catch was that Jaehee was not in control of her magic as she could only access it when she or the things she loved were in grave danger, which caused another more dangerous and merciless persona to awaken and take over her to protect herself. Also, with every use of the magic, Jaehee would end up growing weaker, her lifespan shortening until she was dead.

However, due to this, the king agreed to finally give Jaehee a little bit more freedom, as well as the recognition sh deserves. He allows her to wander around outside now, though she still insists in continuing to live in her cottage. Jaehee is also not allowed to tell anyone who she is, for the king wants her devasting powers to remain a secret until he deems the time is right.

TRIVIA )
➳ Her power is her very powerful magic to harness the shadows when her 'other self' is forced out when she's in danger. This 'other self' will take over her actions and attack without hesitation as it is cold, merciless and vicious, a complete opposite of her true self. While this is happening, Jaehee would still be aware of the happenings, but would be unable to stop herself from doing so. This magic also drains Jaehee's life the more she uses it. However, Jaehee is learning to control this as time passes, and soon she will be able to supress it or call it out at will, though she has to entrust total control of her actions to the 'magic'
➳ Before she sleeps, Jaehee absolutely must drink a glass of milk. She's convinced that it will magically help her growth
➳ She finds animals to be fascinating creatures, but she's afraid of them
➳ She's dyslexic, and thus cannot read well as she always mixes up her words
➳ She loves learning new things, but rarely has the motivation to finish them, which is why she knows so many languages but isn't fluent in most of them
➳ She doesn't believe in superstition and is very skeptical of them
➳ Her ears turn red when she's uncomfortable
➳ She hates swearing, and uses names of vegetables instead of swear words

FAMILY )
➳ Father / Moon Donghyeon / 58 / self-conscious, wise, reserved, inflexible, ruthless
Jaehee does not at all have a close relationship with her father. They rarely interact as Donghyeon is often to emabrass to face his daughter. When they do meet occassionally, the atmoshpere is tense, with Jaehee trying her best to play the role of a good daughter to please her father. They only exchange polite small talk and always stay a careful distance away. However, Jaehee is still appreciative of her father, and does her best to make him proud.
➳ Mother / Jin Chaera / 55 / calm, sickly, loving, easygoing, vain, stubborn
Jaehee shares a closer bond with her mother. Chaera is a sickly woman who rarely leaves her bed due to not being strong enough to do so because of her illness. However, she does love her daughter a lot, and is always demanding for her servants to help her to Jaehee's cottage so she can visit her daughter. Chaera wasn't really bothered with Jahee's lack of magic at birth as her own brother had been the same, and is always showering Jaehee with love, hugs, food she made and general affection. She also insists on keeping her daughter up to date with current news, as well as being informed on Jaehee's activites, so the two are always engaged in conversation.

She' also very reliable and always makes sure to do whatever she's asked to to the best of her abilities. Yoonmi also has an obsession with superstition, and is always nagging at Jaehee to do, eat or wear things to enusre her safety aong other things.
➳ Friend / Park Eunseul / 16 / sociable, adventurous, unable to keep a secret, loves gossip, enthusiatic, nosy

Unfortunately though, Eunseul is unable to keep a secret and is always going on about the latest gossip which Jaehee doesn not care for, so while Jaehee does consider Eunseul as her friend, she is careful  not to let anything slip while in her presence, as well as always sneaking away when Eunseul starts going on about gossip.

Hyunseung.
YONGGUK / XIUMIN
SUMMARY ) Hyungseng is a quiet person. He doesn't talk much, and prefers to express himself thorugh his actions rather than through words. He's very protective of those dear to them, and will go to great lengths to keep them safe and try his best to give them whatever he wants. He doesn't like owing any favours, so if anyone helps him, he makes sure to return the favour one way or the other. He's not very honest either, and he keeps his expression guarded at all times, thus no one can actually tell what he's thinking. It takes a lot of trust on his part to show someone how he really feels, especially since he doesn't trust easily. ANother thing is that he isn't very loyal. He's always the first to abandon ship if anything goes wrong.
Hyuseung and his younger sister, Yiwoo, was raised mostly by their mother in one of the roughest parts of town. Their father was a good for nothing bum, and only lived to take their mother's hard earned money to spend on women and drinks.  When Hyunseung was 10, a fatal illness that swept through the town claimed his mother's life. Lie was hard from then on as his father still expected cash one way or the other, even threatening to prostitue his siter for the money. To save her sister from that fate, Hyunseung took to finding a job, but the low wages eventually forced him to become a thief and a con-man. He was raking in lots of money and he didn't ever get caught due to his smarts, until one day. During the time he was in prison, no one was earning money for their father, so his sister was sold off, never to be seen again. When Hyunseung got released and heard the news, he immediately walked out on his father. He took to the streets once again, relying on his illegal talents to get by, while at the ame time search for his sister.

FIRST MEETING ) Jaehee had been in an alley during one of her walks around Hoswell. She had been feeding a stray cat in a corner, which was why the 5 men who entered didn't notice her at first. She saw that 4 of these men were crowded around a smaller, red headed man, Hyunseung, and were pushing him around and behaving very violently an vulgarly. Due to her personality, she had immediately went up to them and demanded for them to stop bullying Hyunseung. The men had then told her to mind her own business, and that if she had to know why they were doing this, it was because Hyunseung had cheated them of their money and they wanted it back. Jaehee had immediately dug out her wallet and flung the amount they said Hyunseung owed at their faces. The men then left, leaving behind Hyunseung and Jaehee standing there looking at each other awkwardly. Hyunseung had then mumbled that he was sorry for making Jaehee do that, and that he would pay her back before walking off.

RELATIONSHIP ) Their relationship started out with Hyunseung simply wanting to pay off his debt to Jaehee. He didn't have the money to do so, but he knew that Jaehee was a popular target among con-men like him due to her gullibility, thus he resolved to pay her back by not lettingher throw away money on the cheap tricks presented to her on the streets. However, even after his debt was paid, he didn't want to leave, reasoning that this idiotic girl needed his protection for her own safety.
To Jaehee, Hyunseung is a bit of a pain as he's always getting in her way of showing kindess to everyone around her. He's always pulling her off before she can give money to that homeless guy, always threatening to beat up the guys who offer to show her tricks if she would follow them. However, she does think that it's sweet he's going to such great lengths to protect her, and she does tolerate him. In turn, Hyunseung is frutstrated with Jaehee. How could someone be so stupid, he doesn't know, but he's perfectly willing to follow her around.
Despite Jaehee's best efforts to get to know Hyunseung, he doesn't talk much, and his responses are limited to several sullen words. Still, she doesn't intend to give up, and she always fills their silences with her own chatter. For some reason, talking to Hyunseung doesn't make her feel nervous or anything. The two of them are inseparable, with Hyunseung never far behind Jaehee. Jaehee's always dragging Hyunseung along on little adventures with her to explore places, and strangely, Hyunseung doesn't mind at all.
As for how others see them, most people simply assume that Jaehee must be some important lady, maybe the daughter or wife or some noble, and that Hyunseung is just her bodyguard. Thus, they don't pay much attention to the two.

CONCLUSION ) Up to you :)
FAMOUS LAST WORDS ) My second app ^^ I hope her power's okay, and not too over the top or anything :P

SCENE SUGGESTIONS ) For Hyunseung to finally find his sister, only she's impossible to rescue without using magic of some sorts. Then Jaehee has to decide whether she wants to use her magic to get his sister out because it would make Hyuseung happy and she loves seeing him smile. Thing is, she cn't use her magic too many more times before she dies.
