Although, he is Korean, one of his ancestors was of caucasian descent, thus he was born with bright emerald green eyes that set him apart from other Korean children. He also has several piercings on his ears - 2 on his right and 3 on his left. Other than that, he looks exactly the same as his face claim.

Outside in the eye of public, Minhwan tends to dress like a hipster. Checkered shirts, skinny or shredded jeans and combat boots are a must. He likes wearing graphic tees in bold designs or simple tees in dark colours with his checkered shirt tied around his waist. He's frequesntly seen with carefully messed up hair, huge, fake glasses or beanies, as well as the occassional starbucks coffee. However, when away from public eyes, he prefers to wear hoodies over a simple tee and jeans. In the dorm, he's well-known for lounging around in really oversized hoodies/tees and shorts.

On the outside, Minhwan appears to be a happy-go-lucky kid, always enthusiastcially running around full of smiles and cracking lame jokes. He appears very outgoing and sociable, but truthfully, that's all a facade. Because on the inside, he is full of hate. Even though he looks pretty happy to be in the entertainment industry, he honestly hates it as he's only in it for his parents. As such, he's quite unhappy with his life, though he never shows it due to his trait of not wanting others to worry about him. 

 

He likes to think of himself as quite independant, and to him, that means that he should solve all problems by himself. He hides his unhappiness behind a fake smile, and does his best to avoid or shrug off any attempts to find out about his true feelings. Minhwan is also extremely reliable. If he promises to do something, he will do it no matter what, though sometimes his methods might be questionable. However, he's not afraid to own up to his mistakes and try to correct them. You won't find him pushing blame onto anyone else, he will very bravely admit to it himself.

 

Despite his happy facade, many still find him quite terrifying because of his temper. It might not be as bad as when he was a kid, but push him too far and you'll face his wrath. He can get angry over even the most trivial of things such as someone pestering him too much or when he's under a lot of stress, even when he finds out someone has eaten his food etc. When he's angry, he becomes deathly quiet and no one knows what he might do, be it yelling, hitting someone or giving them a cold should for days on end. For people who piss him off, they'll find that he can hold grudges forever. He might seem to forgive them after a while, but in truth, he'll always hold it against them, and will forever keep bringing up the facts to rub salts into the others' wounds.

Minhwan's parents met when they were in the same choir during high school. They both shared a dream a become big in the entertainment world, a dream that they would not achieve and would eventually push onto their only child.

 

Their family was average, they were neither rich nor poor, and was no different from every other family in the country. Or at least, until they had their son, Minhwan. Since he was born, Minhwan had always been a problem child, incapable of keeping his anger in check. He was prone to throwing tantrums, yelling, breaking things, beating other kids up and even running away from home when he was angry. However, his parents let this continue, convinced that he would one day grow out of it.  Age 8, and he only got worse and had already been asked to leave several schools. It was then that his parents finally realized that they had to do something about their son. Minhwan was sent to a counsellor, and soon learnt to keep his anger in check, though he did have outbursts at times. 

 

When Minhwan was younger, he had loved dancing, and it was bovious from a young age that he had a talent for it. It was then that his parents realized that they could use their son to achieve their dream for them, and was soon forcing him to go for all kinds of professional lessons to hone his skills. Minhwan didn't like it at all, he wanted to dance for the sake of dancing, not because he wanted to become famous for his parents. Eventually, he lost his love for it, though he never said a word against his parents. The reason for this? He knew how much grief he had caused him parents, what with his tantrum problem, knew how much they wanted this for him and he wanted to make it up to them by at least achieving their dreams for it.

 

When Minhwan entered high school, the stories about his past anger problems somehow found their way to the student body and he was constantly shunned for fear of him acting up again. Nevertheless, he found himself developing a crush on a popular senior. However, he only mustered up the courage to confess just a few days before the senior's graduation. At first, that senior had been very kind, smiling and thanking him, but a few hours later, Minhwan overheard his mocking voice laughing with his friends about the 'weird nobody' that dared confess to him. Angry and hurt, Minhwan confronted him and afterwards swore to never forgive that senior. Several years later, imagine his surprise when he found out that said senior had become a successsful model.

 

When he was 17, his parents started outting more pressure on him to go start a career in the entertainment world, and reluctantly, he went for an audition at SM, where he was accepted. And that was the start of his journey in the entertainment world.

Entertainment Background — 

When Minhwan was 17, he joined SM entertainment as a trainee after he got accepted for an audition. Although SM had done a bit of digging and knew about his past porblems, they chose to ignore it for he was hardworking, talented and seemed to be well-liked by the other trainees. He stayed for 2 years, and was eventually shortlisted to become part of an upcoming boygroup. 

 

When fans heard about this boygroup, they started fishing for information about the boys, and several of the fans managed to dig up some info from his ex-schoolmates about his anger management problems. This info became very wide-spread, and there were mixed reactions about it. Some were neutral, convinced that he had already left that past behind, others wanted him out for fear of the other members being hurt one day. 

 

This speculation was a very hot topic of that time, and Minhwan was instructed to keep a low profile so as not to endanger the project, but it was hard to keep his cool, especially when everywhere he went, there were crazy fangirls tailing him, taunting him and yelling questions about his issues. One day, he snapped. He had gone to a nearby cafe at night and was returning to the dorm when a girl started following and pestering him. It had been a long day, and with the added weight of the public constantly looking out for him, the stress just became too much, especially when the girl started insulting his parents for raising a son like him. He turned, and started yelling at the girl, non of which what he said was very pretty. When he realized what he was doing, he turned to flee, but the girl had caught his arm and in despearation, he had practially flung her off his arm before running off. 

 

Unknown to him, the whole incident had been filmed by the girl's friend and by the next day, the video was circulating around the net. It caused many more to call for his removal, which SM had no choice but to do so or risk affecting the entire boygroup. However, Minhwan didn't want to have to stop his journey there for he didn't want to disappoint his parents, and he practically begged the higher-ups to give him another chance. They couldn't do so in their company, but they saw his determination and knew it wasn't really his fault and that him not joining the entertainment world would be a waste of his talent. However, although they couldn't let him continue in SM, they knew of a small company that just might take him, and on behalf of Minhwan, contacted the CEO and asked for him to be transferred there. 3 years after joing SM, Minhwan was transferred to Sc entertainment.

 

At SC, Minhwan still kept up his pretense of being a happy and sociable person who loved to have fun with others. He was usually the bubbly life of the party and was well-liked by the other trainees. Nevertheless, he continued to work hard to fulfill his parents' dreams.

Minjun is a charming person by nature. He might not know it, but even his most innocent actions are capable of capturing the hearts of people. He doesn't mean it, but he does a lot of skniship without meaning to, and that, coupled with his easy smiles and cool looks, is more than enough to break a few hearts, especially when others realize that it's just his normal way of acting. Honestly, he judges people based on their looks, but that's only at first. He forms a second impression when he gets to know them better, and that's when he decides whether he likes them or not.

 

He's also a very kind-hearted person who genuinely cares for others, especially if they're his loved one. He'll do anything in his ability to make them happy, and when he can't, he feels quite remorseful and will do his absolute best to make it up to them. He's pretty easy-going too, and just goes along with the flow of whatever stupid fun the boys might be planning. But when he has to, do can be extremely professional and firm. When he's in his 'manager' mode, the boys can be quite scared of him and will do everything he says as the things he threatens them with things that usually sounds extremely painful, and he's not afraid to do them, such as launching ruber bands at them.

 

He's also a very possessive person who gets jealous easily. When he likes someone, he devotes a lot of attention and love to them, and he expects the same back. He gets extremely annoyed when he sees the person he likes being unneccessarily too clingy to or spending too much time with another person. When he's jealous, it's very obvious because he will keep staring daggers at the others and would be very cranky until the person he likes comes back to hang out with him. 

 

First meeting — 

It's a small world because remember that senior that broke Minhwan's heart? It's none other than this guy.

 

Minhwan first saw him when the members of X.Press were being introduced to their new manager. It had been several years since theincident, but Minhwan had known Minjun was a model after seeing him in so many magazines etc. He had also known about Minjun's scandal that caused him to stop modelling, but he didn't expect to see him here. So, he was very shocked to say the least and a bit pissed. For Minjun, he certainly didn't recogize Minhwan, but he didn't miss the way the other was glaring at him.

 

relationship/interactions —

At first, it would be kind of awkward between them because Minhwan is still annoyed at Minjun. Aside from listening to Minjun because he's the manager, Minhwan would never spend time with him, always giving the cold shoulder and brushing him off to go blatantly hang out with others, as well as glaring at him from a distance because he's just that petty. Meanwhile, Minjun is trying to get on good terms with the other, but he can't and that irritates him because he doesn't know what is Minhwan's problem.

 

After a while, Minjun would have had enough with Minhwan's terrible attitude and would confront him. And after Minhwan's angry outburst, he would finally remember where he had once experienced the exact same outburst. From then on, he tries his best to convince Minhwan to forgive him.

 

Later on, their relationship would become better. Minjun would be very nice and caring to Minhwan and he would eventually be somewhat forgiven. They become closer afterwards, often sticking close together when they can and spending free time with each other just talking or doing random things. Minjun tries not be biased, but it does somewhat show that he's closer to Minhwan and he would be the first person that Minhwan confides about the issue of his parents forcing him to join the entertainment world. Eventually, the others start teasing them about their closeness, and the two of them decide to put on a show by pretending to be a couple as the others think, only to realize that they do indeed like each other.
