Should I Teacher English In Korea??

I'm an 11th grader, a Junior. The days are flying pass faster than I can comprehend and "what do you want to do after high school?" is asked more frequently than ever. Along with:

What college do you want to go to?

What do you want to major in?

I'm not all too sure. Over the years my careers have changed. I wanted to be a doctor, journalist, social worker, engineer, and recently I've been interested in teaching, which brings me to this:

Should I Teach English Overseas??

I've been thinking about this for years. My 7th grade Spanish teacher suggested it, ever since, the idea has been in the back of my mind. But now it's becoming more tangible. I think I would enjoy teacher in a new environment, experience the culture, and learn a new language and life style. All you need is a bachelor degree in any field to qualify. I've been watching videos on Youtube about experiences of teachers in Korea, even Black people. They say the pay is really good and that they enjoyed it for the most part. The cost of lving is fairly nice and the people are friendly.

The more I look into it the better it sounds. But I can't help think if I'm taking a bold risk. Korea is far away. I probably won't have enough money to even consider it as an option. And what if I get there and I don't like it? I'll probably be the only "dark skin one" in a 100 mile radius. What if by the time I graduate college my Korea obsession is over? What if I can't adapt to their culture?

There are so many what ifs. Even after I stop teaching I still need something to do afterwards which leads back to what I want to major in. I'm back at square one now.

The future is a scary thing. It seems like everyone around me knows where they are going in life and I am stuck in a ditch. It doesn't feel good. I hope that someday I will figure out what the hell I want to do.
