Up until like two years ago I used to think it was called lip sing instead of lip sync :3

There's a never ending debate always circulating the Kpop world:

Why do artists lip sync??

The question I ask is why don't they?? Depending on the company some groups and artists will/not lip sync during performances. Countless of people bash SM and other companies infamous for making their artists lip sync. As a viewer and dedicated Kpopper, I would love to hear our idols' beautiful voices but I know that isn't always possible. I don't complain about singing Live because I know both singing and dancing at the same time is hard as hell. Busting out serveral difficult dance moves and then hitting a perfect high note only seems possible if you are superman or have the best stamina in the world. Some may say as idols they should sing Live and dance too. We have no right to say that until we've been in their shoes. None of us have. And you know that there will be hypocrites out there that will bash their cracked voice or sloppy moves. There will be hypocricrites who will wonder why they sound breathless. In addition, no idol really sings Live anyway. Even YG who is considered no lip sync central has a background track.

I dislike when people compare groups. I've heard before: "How come Exo doesn't sing Live? Infinite and Vixx sing Live all the time."

There might be different reasons a company doesn't allow their artists to sing Live. Reasons we don't know. I suspect SM wants to maintain a perfectionist aura which is why they don't always do it. Or it might be beause their dances are complicated and they don't want them to overexert themselves.

I'm not going to lie and say I don't enjoy hearing Live voices. But when I don't hear Live I don't complain about it. I don't lie to myself and say it's Live and it isn't like some people. MR removed is B.S.
