「 fashion style 」When Soojin was young, her mom would always dress her up conservatively, like knee-length dresses and long skirts, because of her Dad's liking. But as soon as she turned 13, Soojin's stylist mom decided to teach her how to dress up fashionably even without scratching the conservativeness. She learned to wear simple t-shirts, skinny jeans and denim shorts.

In school, Soojin is known to be the 'best in grooming' due to her clean and neat style of wearing the uniform. Her polo shirt, blazers and skirt are all well-ironed, the neck tie/ribbon is also well-tied, and her socks and shoes are cleaned well too. If it's cold, Soojin would match the uniform with her cotton cardigan and knitted sweaters.

At first her dad was against her wearing short shorts at home but Soojin's mom supported it. 'Soojin's a teenage girl growing up, and it's just at home' she reasoned.

「 personality 」Soojin as a child, grew up under her Dad's strict ways. Since she was an only child, her dad taught her to be conservative. He taught her how to be caring, to be thoughtful of others, and to always stay positive. But just like any other dads out there, her Dad molded her mind to always have good grades and kept her away from the possible 'bad influence' people, away from the boys and away from the thought of love. So when Soojin finally found her love, she became cautious about acting right in front of her Dad. Because he was so furious about it, she promised him that she would be responsible enough and would take the relationship slowly and surely. 

Once you meet her, the first impression that you will get is she's 'a princess type.' It's because she's a quiet and calm kind of a girl. But despite this, Soojin has an easy heart for the others. Just like what she got used to, Soojin's always ready to help others. But Soojin's positive traits didn't stop there, for Soojin is also a consistent honor student. Some people mistaken her as a nerd but little did they know that she isn't really the smartest but rather she's just diligent. She can get to the top just by studying all day and night. 

On the other hand, Soojin has her flaws too. She could be 'perfect girl' the first time you see her but your thoughts will be changed once you get to know the real her. Soojin sulks easily. Especially growing up as an only child, she got used to get everything she needs fast. She could get really moody most of the time too. Moreover because of the lack of freedom at home, Soojin often displaces her frustrations to the people outside their house. Usually to her classmates and friends. If there's something that she doesn't like about a project that they're doing, even if it's a small thing, she would totally act indifferently and would scold everyone in her group. To her friends likewise, Soojin acts the same too. If they (particularly Jimin) joke about something and Soojin misunderstands it, she would sulk on them and sometimes walk out from the group.

Soojin is a bit introvert too. Meaning, you would usually see her silent in her seat while studying her lessons diligently. Being a grade concious, she'd do anything to get high grades even if it takes her to study all night. If her classmates try to talk to her, she would entertain them if she's in good mood but would ignore them when she's not, and most of the time, it's the second case that happens.

「 lifestyle 」Soojin before, has the usual routine you can think of. Every weekdays she's a normal student who wakes up early, brushes her teeth, eats her breakfast with her parents, goes to school by herself, diligently attends her classes, carefully listens to her teachers, eats lunch by herself, goes back straight home after classes, changes into her home clothes, walks to her room to study her lessons, brushes her teeth, and finally goes to sleep. While every weekends, she would stay home and do her homeworks and study her lessons.

But when she reached high school, many things have changed. She would still do the routine, though some things were added, like she would finally eat lunch with her friends, walk home with them, and secretly go out on a group dates or maybe a romantic date every Saturdays. And Soojin would invite her parents to go to the church every Sundays.

「 background 」Soojin's family is still considered as a middle-class family. Her dad's a University Professor while her mom's a writer of a Fashion Magazine. They are not that rich but they can afford many things, like for example a migration to another country. Eventually, this is what happened. Soojin was born in South Korea but her parents waited for her to turn 5 before they migrated to the Alberta, Canada for business purposes (her Dad was offered to teach in Canada).

Soojin studied in an all girls private school there and learned how to speak English. Unfortunately, Soojin only took 3rd place and graduated with honors in Elementary. When she was 12, Soojin's family went back to Seoul because of an emergency, her grandfather (father's side) died. 

Her parents had a talk about her school and decided to let her continue her studies in South Korea since it would take time before they could go back to Canada. And so, Soojin as she understands the situation accepted it and went to a co-ed middle school, and high school (which is her current school and the story's school).

「 background 」Taehyung's family is a family of sports lovers. From his Dad who's a National Baseball player, to his Mom who's a ballerina, and to his older brother who's also a varsity player (soccer) in his University. You can say that they're in the middle-class too. But despite being a middle-class, you wouldn't see any sign of boastfulness in their family. They're all humble and kind. And because of these inspirations, Taehyung dreamt of becoming a famous basketball player. He tried all of his best to get into the team, and with the support of his family, Taehyung successfully made it.

「 personality 」Taehyung is actually the youngest in the family that makes him the bubbly and playful son. And despite it he's very understanding and very thoughtful. It makes him feel better every time he helps others. But in contrast, Taehyung isn't really an obedient son. He could be stubborn at sometimes, but he only does that when he thinks he's right. He's also the kindest person Soojin has met, even if he keeps bragging that he's the most handsome guy on Earth, Soojin knows he's just kidding around to make her laugh. Taehyung's the second guy, next to her Dad, who could make her laugh naturally. Taehyung's not into school very much, even him admits that. He just likes going to school because of basketball. But this was changed when he met Soojin and was influenced to study harder. He then discovered that he's pretty smart and if it wasn't for her, he wouldn't know that.

「 first meeting 」Taehyung and Soojin's actually classmates,  seatmates and lab partners in science class during their first year. At first Soojin was annoyed with him 'cause he doesn't know how to do the job right and he's quite noisy. But eventually, to avoid a fight that might reach the teacher, she just held back her anger and taught him the things he should know. Taehyung on the other hand, understands her cause he's not that of a good student, so he just tried to listen to her every instructions well. The first half of school year passed that they were partners. Taehyung's grades in Science boosted up because of Soojin. At first it was only him who assumed that they were friends already, until he gained interest in her and always follow Soojin around, and even found himself asking infos about her from her friends.

「 interactions 」Since Soojin and Taehyung are classmates again for their Sophomore and Junior year, they always got to hang out with each other. But simply because of Soojin's conservativeness, she and Taehyung rarely have skinships. The best skinship that she could allow him is the high five-ing, but that only happens when they're together alone. Taehyung also knew that Soojin's moody and sulky because he, himself experienced it during lab times. But he didn't mind at all and still acted naturally in front of her, even if she always despises it. Until she got used to him acting this way, Taehyung could withstand Soojin's mood swings more than her friends. Taehyung also wanted her to call him oppa, but Soojin just laughs it off because thinks she's older than him by months so why would she call him oppa. Basically, Soojin and Taehyung are just like bestfriends, chitchatting, joking around, and studying together, you wouldn't even notice that he's courting her and they have mutual feelings for each other. 

「 love story 」Their lovestory all began when they become lab partners in Freshman year. Soojin, though prefers to do it alone couldn't do anything about having a partner so she adjusted to the whole thing for her grades. Science, though Taehyung hates it, become his favorite when he got a B to it for the first time. He felt really really happy that he hugged Soojin the first time he saw his report card. Of course it was really awkward for both of them, but because they still have to be partners for the rest of the semester, Soojin left it behind even if she couldn't forget about it. Taehyung on the other hand, after hugging Soojin felt something in his heart, like he wanted to meet her more. So with the help of Soojin's friends Hayoung and Namjoo, Taehyung learned a lot about Soojin, including her Dad being strict when it comes to boys who wants to become friends with her, and her having mood swings.

Even if Taehyung heard about Soojin's dad, he still didn't let that stop him from befriending his lab partner. And so, he did everything to be friends with Soojin, he always sits with her during lunch, goes to library with her and sometimes pulls her to the school gym to watch him practice. Soojin that time couldn't do anything but to come along with him because Hayoung and Namjoo were also there to drag her along. 

So technically, they started out as friends. Although as time passed by, their interest to each other become deeper. Like they want more from each other, and that means not just being friends. So when the Freshmen year ended, Taehyung cleared up his mind and decided to confess to Soojin what he feels. It was during the recgonition ceremony for the freshmen when Taehyung pulled Soojin to the back of the school and gave her the second button of his uniform. Soojin at first didn't know why he gave her that until he explained that somebody once told him that you should give the person you like the button of your uniform that is closest to your heart, which is the second button. Soojin finally got what he said and a soft smile appeared on her face, it was an answer to his feelings.

Though compare to Soojin, Roan is less conservative. 

「 personality 」Roan just like Soojin, grew up under her parents strict teachings. But what differs her from Soojin is that, she has a different side. Roan could be all good and very impressive when she's in front of her parents, but actually she's a brat when they're not.  Roan is popular in her school because of her family, her straight As and her competitiveness, but she's really boastful about it.  You can say that Roan's the REAL smarty here and she's the natural geek. She was not usually insecure about her grades, not until Soojin walked in their classroom and topped the class.

「 plotline #02: slow but steady 」

01. In this relationship, who suggested this slow relationship?

It was Taehyung who first confessed to Soojin, but it was Soojin who told him to take the relationship slow, meaning he should court her first and wait for her Dad's approval. 

02. How did the other one react to that?

At first Taehyung was upset because he felt like Soojin's ashamed of him. He even thought that she doesn't love him that she doesn't fight for him. But Soojin explained to him that she just want to get the approval of her Dad and that she loves him too so he doesn't need to think of that. That gave Taehyung the patience to wait, when Soojin told him that she loves him too.

03. Why did either of them want to take things slow?

Actually the only problem is on Soojin, it's her wanting for her Dad's approval. She just couldn't be a rebel to her dad neither push Taehyung away just because he says so. Soojin's in between of the two most important guys of her life.

「 what are your thoughts on romance? 」Romance? How will I even know? I've watched a lot of romantic movies and all I can say is that it's all about skinships and PDAs, I guess.

「 what is your definition of love 」Love, I think it's when you start to feel the urge of protecting that special someone. That you would rather suffer than that person. Love is about sacrificing. There are times that you have to let go because both of you are just hurting, but that is real love. 

「 what are your thoughts on the theory: red thread of fate? 」I actually find it interesting, and I believe in it. Just like what my mom always tells me there is this somebody who is fated to be with you, you just have to be patient and wait for him.

「 have you ever been in a relationship? if so, state how it went 」No, this current relationship, whatever it is, is the very first for me. I'm not yet ready for serious commitments.

「 anything else? 」I intend to emphasize the reason behind Soojin being cautious about the relationship, and that is because of her Dad. I just want to clear that their relationship is not hidden, her Dad knows about it yet he told Soojin to take it slow. So Soojin as an obedient daughter to her Dad requested Taehyung to wait for her. Also, I don't want my rival to be super evil that's why I made her like, a girl who has a reason to be bad.

「 scene request 」
- Soojin cleaning up her room and sees the box of her Freshman year memories. She will open it and will see the button Taehyung gave her when he confessed, and will start reminiscing that moment.

「 ending? 」I guess the best ending for this is a happy ending. It's because Taehyung has waited patiently enough and Soojin has learned a lot from this 'relationship' so I think they deserve to have a happy ending. They could end up together too and finally gets the approval. But it would be fun too if even if they're already in a relationship, the two are still doing things slow.
