» casual/school - maybe because she grew up wearing taekwando and judo uniforms that soojin isn't really the type to effort on being all dolled up. she usually chooses to dress herself simply with white shirts and denim jeans with a pair of sneakers. after all, she doesn't find the logic behind dressing grand inside her own house. she finds sweaters and long sleeves very comfortable against her body, jeans pairing with it. however, she still clothes herself appropriately neat whenever she goes outside the mansion to travel in different places. she was taught to be extra careful in dressing up in public. in school, soojin wears her uniform the way it is, no more, no less. // one two three four five

» formal/host club - being part of the royal family means always wearing formal clothes. however, soojin only wears dresses and gowns whenever there are occassions. thankfully, her royal dresser understands her taste and suggests dress that still makes her comfortable yet stylish. he knew that her favorites aren't the one with too much skin showing off. but sometimes, her parents would force her to wear something grand during large gatherings, thus, her stylist knew what to do about it. // one two three four five

» host club - generally, chosen hostesses wear their uniforms, sometimes, their casual clothes. but recently, the club has formed different concepts every meetings. soojin would comply to it despite her feeling uncomfortable. she had no choice anyways.

positive - "compliant," "adventurous," "diligent"
» being the youngest daughter of a royal family, soojin was taught to be compliant and obedient to simple requests, especially when it comes to their people or subjects. she always listens to her parents and their advisers about what to do and what to say in public. this includes, of course, the host club. hence, she's very adventurous. she likes going to different places with extreme activities to welcome her. including the animals she wishes to see. she enjoys reading books on top of a mountain or listening to music on a beach side. she likes seeing landscapes in the small provinces than the busy city she grew up in. soojin inherited her intelligence from her wise father. compared to her brother, she is more diligent when it comes to studying.

» pretty much that soojin outside the palace is just the same as the soojin inside. she's consistent and she doesn't hide her true self, which is the quiet and calm kind of a royalty. many, who still haven't met her personally, think that she's the kind who is demure and soft but when they get to see her face to face, they realize that she has this fighter aura. she's sorta boy-ish, cold and tough. sometimes, people don't understand her want for peace but she doesn't mind. she likes doing everything independently.

» most of the time, soojin likes using her smart mouth to sarcasm. instead of bad-mouthing people who gets into her nerves, she would just think of a way to mock or to annoy him/her, badly. she's quiet naive anyways so she doesn't get irritated easily, she's just a natural sarcastic. she is the type who wouldn't care about a thing in her environment until you oblige her to, and she wouldn't know your true intentions until you explain it all to her. just don't mess with her feelings because she's also fragile. don't push her to her limits so you won't have to see 10 times of her sarcasm. soojin also covers her true feelings. instead of expressing what she really feels inside. she would depict ambiguous signs and unclear responses to it.

» childhood - martial arts has always been soojin's life. she's been learning combinations ever since she was 4 years old, and since she grew up doing high kicks and strong punches, soojin feels like she'd die doing those too. but it's fine. she likes doing martial arts. her world revolved around that activity. she spent almost all of her life exercising her skills like it's endless. she lived her daily routine without any flaws and without any complaints, that would be: wake up > wash up > breakfast with the family > school > dojo > home > study > sleep > repeat. it was just supposed to be her brother who should do the taekwando thing, but since she's a girl and the youngest member of the family, she was obliged to learn how to fight as well. after all, their dad is one of the highest rank in the royal martial arts team. 
 

» adolescence - soojin was 10 when she experienced the most unfogettable moment of her life. she was kidnapped by a huge group of abductors that ambushed her car while going home from her school outing. she was taken into an  apartment in the deepest part of the country that doesn't seem to be in the map. like how they planned it, the kidnappers asked for a ransom from her family. it really shook the royal household when it happened. they didn't know exactly what to do, they kept negotiating with her abductors and while doing so, they tracked her royal marker that was place in her ring.. eventually, the police traced the apartment and came to save the youngest daughter of the duke. the kidnappers knew about their no escape situation and so they did what they thought was best. they brought soojin with them outside and in front of everyone with a gun on her head. it was a breath-taking moment for her and her family, but soojin stayed strong despite the emergency. she still endured it even if she's already scared, and she was successful. she was taught in the martial arts what to do in times like that and she made sure that she could do it. she just used her brain and successfully wiggled out from her abductors arms. however, the person triggered the gun and was able to shoot soojin on the ankle. with that, the royal police had to shoot and kill the person. ever since that event, soojin was placed into homeschooling until she graduted middle school. 
 

» royal high - only soojin was allowed to enter royal high school when she told her parents that she could do it, ready and mature enough to go out. after all, her friend already induced her into going with her to the famous royal high school. her parents allowed her eventually (thanks to her brother and his intelligent reasoning). today, she successfully passed through her first two years in royal high without getting kidnapped. maybe because she's already grown up and can kick people's butts. and now that she's in her senior year, soojin wanted to make it more special. it's her first time doing the 'host club' thing and she just couldn't get any more excited about it. her focus is entirely about her studies and how is she going to make it to the royal university.

» father | (lord) han soohyun / 48 | duke, youngest son of a king - just like her, soojin's father is also a fighter, and the very reason why soojin and hyunghee got into the art. they listened to his stories about how he's the only one who learned the martial arts among his other 4 siblings. they had also watched him teach a few students in their dojo before and learned from him as well. in general, they're really close with their dad. maybe because despite being busy on his work, he still has the time to practice judo and taekwando with them. it was their favorite bonding.

» mother | (lady) moon jinhee / 45 |  duchess, wife of lord soohyun - soojin isn't really that super close with her mom. in fact, there are times when she's feeling uncomfortable with her. maybe because her mother always teaches her how to be lady-like even if she doesn't like to. but all in all, soojin likes her mom. she's her total opposite because lady jinhee is a very demure and soft lady. 

» brother | (young lord) han hyunghee / 22 | marquess, son of lord soohyun - sometimes, soojin feels like hyunghee is her twin more than an older brother. he's so comfortable to talk to and very funny to be with. he likes to joke around and besides (the young cupcake), he's one of the rarest people who can make soojin smile or laugh.

» best friend | the young cupcake / age | position - they've been best friends since they were 5 (or so she thought, only god knows the exact time). only her can make soojin talk more than she can and make her open up her feelings without any sarcasm or unclearness. she just seemed to understand soojin despite her being the quiet one. they trust each other among other people. and most importantly, she's the reason why soojin overcome her trauma from her past kidnapping event. she used to always visit her during weekends since soojin couldn't go to school. she's the sister soojin always wanted to have but never had the opportunity to.

» love rival | yoon junghan | 20 | crown prince - junghan was supposed to be her fixed marriage partner. but when he moved abroad to live there, soojin and him had never gotten to know each other. they only met once and that was during a party held by the king for his younger son. they got to ask about each other's name and both of them seems to click since they have the same personality. after 5 years, junghan went back home and visited soojin after knowing that she's working in the royal proclaimed 'host club.' he demanded for her almost every other day (since seungcheol is always there) but still get to have an alone time with her. he's just not sure if he still likes her after long years, and he's not sure if he still wants to reconsider their cancelled engagement.

positive - "competitive," "amiable," "optimist"
» seungcheol is the kind of a person who doesn't give up in life. whenever he stumbles from a quest, he gets up and moves on again. this is why his people really look up to him. he thinks of the future brightly ahead of him. he faces it with a huge smile on his face and with his chest held out. he's very friendly towards his subjects and that kind friend you can totally have. he's generous towards the less fortunate people and he's smart too. he's like the absolute prince charming a girl could ever dream of. 

negative - "persistent," "mischievous," "proud"
» only he is very mischievous. he does not want to lose. it's good to be competitive but that doesn't mean that you have to do it so overly. seungcheol is that kind of a person. he is persistent when it comes to fulfilling his ambitions or even if it's just to take what he wants. you see, seungcheol can be very serious and exaggerrated about his 'do or die' attitude. once he wants something, he would totally do anything (and with anything I mean 'any thing') to get it. maybe because of the pressure he feels for being the youngest child in the family. seungcheol wanted to prove something to himself. after all, his family expects him to be like his successful brothers. 

love story 

» at the beginning - they are both in the royal martial arts team with soojin being the best female student and a rank higher than him. seungcheol is a prince, youngest son of a king and a usual customer in the host club. at first he wanted to beat soojin in the martial arts team through distracting her, by getting her attention. when he heard from his friend that she works in the host club, he went their to ask for her attendance and to sorta seduce her. at first, soojin just did her job and accompanied seungcheol like she didn't have a choice. seungcheol usually started the conversation and soojin either answered it with a nod or a couple of words that would surely end a conversation. she would only drink on her cup of hot chocolate and sat straight listening to him. it stayed like that until later on, she found him really interesting. him and his persistent attitude. 

» "I...think I do like...you~" - the first time seungcheol made soojin smile was when they talked about the penguins in north pole. it was just a random topic that came by but he couldn't believe that he was able to make her smile like that. by then he knew soojin's love for animals. she even joked about liking to have a penguin pet someday. it was a childish conversation but seungcheol didn't mind. it was his first time hearing soojin talk about the things she likes and he found it cute. she spoke more than he thought she could, and it was nice. 

» secrets won't be forever secrets - unfortunately, his schemes were revealed by soojin's best friend who caught seungcheol's friends talking about it in the school corridors. and since soojin is naive, she didn't realize it until then. but by that time, seungcheol was already for real about his feelings for soojin. apparently, he really gotten attracted to her and her ambiguous personality. she, being a mystery for him and him being a curious person, makes seungcheol very interested in her. suddenly, he did not want soojin to attend any other guys on the club and so, even if soojin already told him to stop asking for her, seungcheol still goes to the host club to get her trust back. even if it's hard, seungcheol ignited his 'do or die' attitude and fought until soojin talks to him again.
