• soojin looks exactly like her face claim, although she was born with a little tan skin and has a very small birth mark on her stomach, right below her belly button.

• she likes to keep her bangs. many suggests for her to change her hairstyle but soojin refers to keep her hair like that because her bangs can cover her eyes, preventing others from seeing it.

FASHION SENSE —

• growing up with her sister made soojin to dress up very simple yet girly. dresses, skirts, gowns, she can be comfortable wearing those. although her personal taste is kinda of a lazy person's.

• outside, she would wear her dark denim jeans, white button up shirt, matched with her hgh cut Converse shoes. sometimes– and since she's kinda lazy–soojin prefers to wear printed t-shirts underneath her university jackets or hoodies.

• at home, she likes wearing comfortable oversized (usually black) shirts over her denim/summer shorts. she has collections of plain t-shirts or tank tops in her closet which she usually wears even when practicing. most of the time, soojin wears what she can just pick in her closet.

ELABORATION —

• (+) optimistic - being a happy child ever since she was young, soojin brightly faces all consequences ahead of her. maybe because she grew up in a family that always smile that she brought it along with her for her life.

• (+) adaptable - if soojin is to boast one special talent, that would be her fast adaptation. she's a fast learner and she can adjust to her environment well. she can learn what is taught to her only in a few tries.

• (+) capable - for as long as she knows she can do the favor, you can freely ask her for anything. she usually takes care of her members like they're her own children. she would cook for them, order for them whenever they eat outside, except for household chores.

• (+) caring/warm - despite being cold on the outside appearance, soojin is actually pretty warm in the inside. she likes cuddling so much, she would kiss her members on the cheeks even without special reason, or give them chldish nicknames randomly.

• (-) slacker - laziness is moon soojin. this is what her friends and family members complain about her. she might be very diligent when it comes to practicing but soojin hates doing chores. she would pout and stomp her feet whenever she was asked to do favors. she hates exhausting energy in general.

• (-) stubborn - maybe because she's the youngest in the family that soojin's very stubborn, she would insist her point, do the things she wants without hesitations, and would not care whatever others say. simple as that.

• (-) bossy - part of being lazy is to ask anyone around you the stuffs that you should be doing, this is soojin's second favorite thing to do after sleeping. she kinda passes her chores to others, using her cold aegyo or her clingy attitude to pacify the other members into doing her task in the house.

• (-) impatient - this is just a mild trait but soojin doesn't like waiting much. she's very impatient and that being said, she likes doing things fast and quick so she can rest soon.

BACKGROUND —

• 1995, busan, south korea - born on the 8th of september, mr and mrs moon didn't really expect another daughter in the family. they thought a son would be better as a second child since their first born is already a girl. however, they still welcomed soojin with wide open arms. they spoiled her, treated her like a royalty, and gave her everything she needed. their family is not that very rich although their parents worked really hard to get everything they have right now. they got their riches mostly from their family business which is a restaurant in busan that specializes in korean and japanese cuisine.

• 2000, asian travel - it was in 2000 when their family decided to expand their menu to other asian cuisines, and to make this possible, the family traveled all around asia to explore other recipes, because of this, the daughters were required to learn how to speak in english. first they went to japan, then to hong kong, they also surveyed the cities of mainland china, vietnam, and thailand. but among these countries, soojin loved the food in the philippines.

• 2004, busan, south korea - their research for asian cuisines became successful and brought more income to their business, the daughters also began studying and were both very diligent about it. junhee would help in the restaurant during the weekends but soojin would prefer to stay at home and read her books. she would lie on her bed all day and do nothing, which was why she and her sister would always fight.

• 2011, busan, south korea - in 2011, soojin's sister, junhee moved to seoul to continue her tertiary education as an engineering student in seoul national university. proud of her, soojin once again admired her sister's achievement and wished to be like her in her craft. still, she stayed with her parents in busan and was forced to help in the restaurant while studying classical music in busan arts high school.

• 2014 to present, seoul, south korea - soon after graduating high school, soojin moved to seoul to accomplish her training. it was when she was street casted by a pledis representative and was pursuaded until she agreed. her parents were against her being separated from them at first, but since it is what she wanted, her parents supported her and let her stay with her sister in an apartment in gangnam. soojin diligently traveled from their joint house to pledis everyday just to practice. now, she's only waiting for the debut that she's been dreaming of.

FAMILY —

• father - moon soohan (48) - bank clerk/restaurant owner - disciplinarian, strict, generous - soojin is closer to her dad than to her mom. her dad gives her everything she requests and would do it without hesitations. she likes hugging him, kissing his cheek, and would always cling to him when given a chance. she's not shy to show off her close relationship with hm to other people.

• mother - han sooyoung (45) - certified public accountant - compliant, caring, thoughtful - her mom is the loveliest in soojin's eyes. she admires her very much because she's not only beauty but also kindness and intelligence. sometimes she would feel intimidated by her own mother, but soojin still loves her for she's the best.

• older sister - eng. moon junhee (23) - engineer - sweet, caring, lovable - junhee is soojin's role model. ever since they were young, the younger would follow whatever the older's doing. she would copy how she dresses and steal her make up so she could do it to herself too, although they usually fight because of her laziness and tardiness at home.

• childhood (best) friend - park jmin (21) - idol (bts) - cheeky, talented, talkative - being neighbors since birth, soojin and jimin are blood-compact close. they went to the same primary school, middle school, until high school. despite taking different majors, since jimin major in modern dance while soojin major in classical music, they're very clingy and very open to skinship with each other. they would hop on each other's back whenever they meet, and would use busan accent and some other terms only them knows whenever they talk to each other.

• best friend - choi minki / ren (21) - idol (nu'est) - quiet, playful, funny - unlike jimin, minki is more of the quiet-until-you-know-me kind of guy. he debuted even before soojin entered pledis but that didn't stop them from being close. in fact, soojin is a fan of nu'est. they call each other by the name comfortably, and she never called him 'sunbae' also because minki refused to. they're very open to skinship too, and they use informal language.

• best friend - plotline #13 (n/a) - maknae (seventeen) - (n/a) - maybe because she wanted a younger sibling that she's very fond of this member. this maknae is soojin's favorite among her members; favorite to cuddle, favorite to kiss, and favorite to get clingy with. she's like soojin's human teddy bear whom she always tells her life about.

• room mate - random plotline (n/a) - random member - (n/a) - the title says it all, they're very close because they've been roommates since the formation of seventeen. she understands soojin the most when it comes to her phobia to darkness so she gave her a small battery-operated lamp light so she could sleep even with the room's lights off. they have the same taste in food and they're very comfortable with each other.

• busan buddy - lee jihoon (20) - trainee (pledis) - quiet, sleepy, frank - they always talk about music whenever they meet. they would utter musical terms such as notes and piano chords, most of the time in busan accent.

• pledis family - pledis artists, trainees and staff - various - soojin tries her very best to be close to everyone in pledis. she would courageously greet each and everyone she passes by in the building. she also memorized the staff's name so she wouldn't feel bad about giving them descriptive nicknames.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT DEBUTING? —
"it is a dream come true. I actually didn't know what I wanted to do before, until I saw super junior, and entered busan arts high school. my future had actually been set already. my parents wanted me to become a business undergraduate but when I realized my passion, I told them, "I want to become a singer." it will be tough, I know, but at least I am doing what I really want to do."

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE CONCEPT THAT WAS CHOSEN? DO YOU WISH YOU COULD TRY A CUTE OR Y CONCEPT? —
"it is a very unique idea actually, having units at the same time of being a team. it would help in improving our crafts and through it we could show our real potentials. I mean, talents aren't learned, you were born with it. you just have to enhance it. and I would like to try both. if possible. it will be very interesting to do both. but for now, I trust our company about our concept."

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO IN THE FUTURE AS A GROUP —
"to do a world tour concert! wahhh! that would be very daebak! tokyo, paris, london, new york. I want to travel the world with my team. I want to enjoy the wonders of the earth with my members."

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SAY? —
"my team members and I, all worked hard to be in wherever we are right now. some people might not like us as we debut, but we would like everyone to at least give us a chance to prove our worth. these kids, including myself, worked our butts off just to be on stage. for such a young age that we should be having fun with our friends, having fun out there, we're here sweating blood just to perfect everything. all I ask for everyone, is a chance. one chance, and their love."

PERSONA — the angel who sleeps - because of her mother-like figure and her sleeping habits, soojin is always teased as the angel who sleeps.

TRAINEE LIFE —

• soojin was street casted in busan by a pledis representative. she gladly accepted the offer after verifying the credibility of the staff, and moved in with her sister in seoul to fulfill her dream. it was not hard for her to adjust in the city despite her being a province girl.

• although she was one of the latest recruits, soojin was never left behind. the kids were very kind to her and they all assisted her to adjust so that helped her even more. they admired her personality and her accent, and even named her 'cool unnie.' she met a lot of friends along the process of her training. she met friends like nayoung and pinky, one of the pledis girls, also seungcheol, jeonghan, and mingyu of the pledis boys, and she became close to some of her sunbaes like ren of nu'est and uee of after school.

• at first, soojin had a hard time learning to play with her vocals, her instructors would scold her for breathing problems; either she would lose her breathe in midst of singing or would cut her breathing at the end of each notes, but now soojin is a lot better with her singing. her dancing did not became a problem though, since she can learn the routines quickly, however, they would comment about her flexibility since she's not that flexibie. soojin worked really hard to exercise everyday just to adjust.

PREDEBUT —

• she studied in busan arts high school and was one of the top student in her department. because of this, she was once featured in a commercial filming of a milk product where she played the piano for the role of an aspiring pianist.

SCANDALS —

• bts' park jimin girlfriend? - mid october 2015 - jimin was seen drinking and laughing with a girl in a cafe in busan. although fans recognized her to be a pledis trainee, big hit entertainment annnounced that jimin and her were childhood friends and were just having a coffee to celebrate his birthday after not seeing each other for almost 2 years.

LOVE INTEREST — choi seungcheol (s.coups)

LOVE STORY —

• seungcheol and soojin met as trainees. she was the newest recruit and since seungcheol was the eldest among the trainees, he was the one to welcome her, and introduced her to everyone. he enjoyed her accent as much as he enjoyed her accompaniment. at first he thought she was cold, but when he got to know her better, he realized that she was quiet clingy. she would hold onto his arm whenever they cross the street, would give him a towel after practicing, and would eat with him during breaks.

• at first, it was just friendship. they would laugh at each other's stories, agreed to use informalities between them, until they became the 'night buddies.' being night buddies meant they stayed practicing until late night despite the dismissal of the other members. they were always left together inside the building to practice, and because soojin's home is a bit far from pledis, seungcheol would bring her home or walk her to the bus station.

• after months of being a trainee, soojin became more stressed for the monthly evaluations. sometimes she would redirect her frustrations to seungcheol by scolding him or being moody around him. but seungcheol never left her. although annoyed, seungcheol would drop by her locker to organize it for her or to put foods in it. and even if she ignores him, he still comes to her. that's when they learned that they're special to each other.

• he brings out the best in her. seungcheol never left her side when soojin needed somebody the most. he supported her, he has always been there for her, he admires her. even if they're both tired from practicing, seungcheol would lend his shoulders for her to lean on, and then would tell her stories about his day until she falls asleep. at first, there was no malice to their best friend like relationship, until he fell for her.

RELATIONSHIP — they both know that they want more than friendship from each other, but since they also want to keep their career from being damaged, soojin and seungcheol decided to keep their feelings on their own until they're both stable to show the world. they would date inside the building during practice, she would visit him together with the other pledis boys, and would bring them food to console them to keep working hard. most of the time he is jealous of jimin because of his closeness with her, but seungcheol would just tell himself that soojin loves him more than anyone.

STATUS — exclusively (and secretly) dating

RELATIONSHIP STATEMENT —
