SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT ✧APPEARANCE — She has a small scar on her chin she got during a storm when she bumped against a cliff. It's only about two cm long and pale, so it isn't really visible.
✧MERMAID FORM — Ryeonhee's mermaid tail is long and has pretty broad scales which are ruby red in the middle and a bit darker, probably in an old red on the edges. She has two small fins on each side of the lower tail as well as two bigger fins at the end of her tail. Both are dark on the roots and get ruby red towards the tips. She wears a seashell bra that was made with two big, white and blue seashells that look a bit shiny in the sun. A bit seaweed and some white pearls are attached to the shells. A large net provides stability, she ties it together at her upper back and neck.
✧STYLE — She doesn't care much about fashion and simply wears things that fit her and feel comfortable. She likes simpler colors and hates neon ones, so she usually wears a black shirt or top with hot pants or blue skinny jeans. From time to time she also wears dresses or skirts but even then she prefers them being simple, maybe uni-colored or with plain stripes. Ryeonhee rarely wears accessoires and normally keeps her hair open or in a simple ponytail. The only thing she sometimes does to upgrade her beauty is attention-catching lipstick. Red, orange, black, pink, she possesses one in every color.

✧QUOTE — I won't just stand still and watch while someone is putting us all in danger. If they are threathening us, I'll fight. ✧PERSONALITY — +Ryeonhee is strong-willed and she hates it when women are portrayed as incapable and helpless until a prince in shining armor comes along. She doesn't just take anyones orders without a question and if she's unhappy with something she definitely confronts the other person. She has a pretty bad temper and doesn't like it if someone questions her opinion or lifestyle. She isn't a person who's easy to get along with since she's hot-headed and doesn't take jokes about her lightly. She has a bad temper - Ryeonhee doesn't have much patience and she's also ready to get into fights if someone is provocing her. While she's usually trying to be friendly she also takes pride in herself and she isn't forgiving. Ryeonhee is stubborn, unlikely to give up and doesn't often take others' advises to heart. And since the research team is putting her friends and herself in danger she is feeling like she has to stand up for herself and destroy their equipment - after all, she'd be either a lab rat or dead if the marine finds out about their secret. But as long as you aren't insulting or upsetting her she'll treat you nicely. Ryeonhee seems pretty energetic most of the time since she is witty and a prankster. No matter what situation she's in, she could always make a joke about it. She often makes fun of herself or good friends, imitates teachers, siblings and other people in a funny way and exaggerates a lot while telling stories. She makes sure that she doesn't hurt anyones feelings, though. Despite her humor, Ryeonhee can read the mood easily and usually behaves considerate. She wouldn't joke if she was talking about a serious topic, if most people around her were in a bad mood or if she saw that she's slowly getting annoying. If Ryeonhee sees someone in emotional turmoil she won't make fun or nag at the person if he/she messed something up but rather defend him or her from others' accusations and ask the person if he/she was okay.
But if there is one thing that she can't stand, it's somebody trying to pry into her life. She hates it when someone meddles into her business and he would try to distanciate herself from the prying person because she is scared to death of anyone finding out her secrets. She usually doesn't meddle in her friends business as well if it isn't putting them or their secret in danger since she believes that they would approach her themselves if they want to talk about a problem. Since she's so stubborn and secretive she looks like a person that wouldn't be good at helping somebody with her feelings but Ryeonhee can actually be quite caring and tactful. She senses when someone is upset, even when they are trying to act like they are perfectly fine and she also knows when she has to say certain things to her friends and when it would be better to let them deal with everything on her own. While she's a bit reserved towards strangers she's a trustable, protective and loyal friend.

RIDING THE HIGH TIDE ✧FAMILY —
✧Father — Kang Goonhyuk + 50 + 3 + He's very absorbed in his work as a math and physics teacher while Ryeonhee doesn't like any of these subjects. They aren't particulary close but their relationship isn't bad, either. They just don't have anything to tell the other and despite them being family they get silent and awkward when no other family member is around. ✧Mother — Kang Yoonhwa + 49 + 4 + She's the typical mother; caring, fussing a lot about her when there isn't even anything to worry and loving but she also can be strict from time to time. They are pretty close but her mother is still oblivious to her secret and doesn't suspect her breaking in the research labs.
✧Brother — Kang Hyunsoo + 18 + 5 + He's overprotective, goofy and has the same wit as her. They are really close, almost like best friends and always making fun of each other. He hates Zico, though.
✧Sister — Kang Eunhye + 16 + 4 + Temperamental and girly, Eunhye and Ryeonhee's personalities often clash and so the sisters are fighting all the time. But although Ryeonhee is always complaining about her, she's still cares a lot about Eunhye.
✧FRIENDS — ✧Best Friend— Nang Kyungmi + 18 + 5 + She has a dark sense of humor and drinks alcohol literwise and smokes like a steam engine. Most people avoid her but Ryeonhee and her are the best of friends. Kyungmi is moody and short tempered but also sharp and funny and Ryeonhee knows that she could always rely on her. ✧Best friend — Hoon Chanyoung + 17 + 5 + Chanyoung is a top-student, friendly and unlike Ryeonhee and Kyungmi very sociable, though she would never even think of dumping the two of them to get popular. She's calm, understanding and good at giving advises, kind of a source of strenght for Ryeonhee. ✧OTHER —

A WHOLE NEW WORLD ✧LOVE INTEREST — Zico {Woo Jiho} + Block B
✧BACK UP — Kim Yukwon + Block B ✧PERSONALITY — Zico is blunt and doesn't care much about his reputation. Others would describe him as rebellious and unpredictable, they usually keep away from him since he has a delinquent reputation. Whenever there is shop-lifting or a new graffiti sprayed on a house wall of the island everyone suspects him first (and they are often right with this assumption). He frequently gets into fights and is rude to everyone around him. Zico skips half of his classes and is more of a loner. It's not because no one wants to be associated with him since he has a good humor and he could easily be popular but Zico prefers to be alone and without anyone annoying him. He looks intimidating and unapproachable and only few people know his laid-back and playful side. He can be nice, funny and caring if he wants to but he's rarely showing these traits. Zico often makes fun of his close friends and aquaintances and he's witty. He's also bragging too much about himself and is overconfident but whenever it comes to serious or scary situations he is a great help and extremely attentive.
He is quite lazy about the things he doesn't care about and he's also rather blunt and straightforward. Zico gets into trouble often but it always seems like he doesn't care about that. Just like Ryeonhee he doesn't follow every rule and he isn't pretending to be anyone he's not. He isn't too affectionate, either. Zico is organized and also very thoughtful. This sounds a bit in contrast with his bluntness but while he's outspoken in conversations, he can be also quite absorbed in his thoughts when there is nothing that demands his attention.
✧HOW YOU MET — They go to the same school and actually have a few classes (Biology, Math and History) together. But they never talked, Zico skipped a lot of classes anyway and whenever he actually attended, he always stayed quiet in the last row of the tables, listening to music with one ear while scribbling something completely irrelevant to the school subject on his block. They actually talked for the first time on one of Ryeonhee's first break-in; it was at night and Zico was watching her sneakily climbing into a window while he was decorating the wall of the building with a lovely graffiti. He was curious and followed her, watching how she destroyed the equipment of the research team. Then he made his presence known. First she tried to hide her shock and act like he was the intruder but after he offered her help with damaging she visibly relaxed and told him that it was okay to join her. ✧RELATIONSHIP — Their dynamics change over time. At first they are sarcastic. Ryeonhee always talks to him like it was a pain to even listen to him while he helped her breaking in but always made fun of her since she was still new to doing something so drastic against the rules. He would always ruffle her hair and mess it up. She would complain but in the end she would still be okay with that since he was a great help. She didn't care much about him as long as he helped her. She disliked his obvious disrespect, attitude and lifestyle but she knew that she needed him if she didn't want to be caught so she accepted him just like he was. After a while their relationship changed. Ryeonhee doesn't even know when she opened up to him but somehow she started to be close to him and even spend her time voluntary with him. They were at the docks, drinking some beer while watching the sea below them and they actually talked nice with each other for once. Ryeonhee told a bit about her friends and family while he said something along the lines 'he could do whatever he want because his family wouldn't care anyway'. Ryeonhee wished she could help him somehow and this was the point they really started to get closer. After that Ryeonhee didn't care about his image anymore and was just happy whenever he was around. She defended him when a friend said something bad against him, she looked for him and she would approach him in school and ask him to stay with her and her friends (which he usually denied but she still asked him every day he attended).
She kept denying that she has a crush, and told herself that he was a precious friend. She was constantly in a good mood around him and was kind of giddy, something she usually wasn't. They would still bicker a lot but although he was sometimes getting annoyed with her, she was never angry at him. They got much closer and Zico pretty much dropped his bad boy image in front of her, so that she saw his teasing, playful and protective side. After a while he got a bit flirtatious towards her and the first time it happened she almost got a heart attack. She couldn't deny her feelings anymore and tried to get closer to Zico's best friend Kyung and tried to ask him subtly, what Zico really thought of her. She didn't want to read to much into Zico's behaviour and confess if he didn't feel the same way. Kyung only hinted that Zico could like her and his answers were pretty vague but that was already enough for Ryeonhee. She started to flirt back after a while and somehow they ended up kissing and being in a relationship. Around everyone else Zico still behaves like he did previously, distant and bad, but around Ryeonhee he shows his true self.

JUST NO ORDINARY GIRL ✧BACKGROUND — Ryeonhee spend her whole life on that island and was fine with her normal albeit boring life before she discovered that she was a mermaid. The first time she transformed she thought that this all was just a dream - Ryeonhee had common sense and didn't believe in fairy tales. But after a while she got more comfortable with the idea of being a mermaid - after all she could swim in the ocean and see the bottom of the sea like no other human could without an oxygen mask. Being a mermaid started to be thrilling for her and she started to be proud of her fins. It was still unnerving - she always drinks with a straw and she has to pay her sister for always washing the dishes if it's her turn. She actually likes being a mermaid but she wishes she could be more open with her friends and family - whenever they are going to the beach and want to swim she fakes illness and she often feels like she has to be observant to her surroundings and sometimes gets nightmares of being caught.
✧WHAT POWER DO THEY HAVE OVER WATER? — Hydro-Thermokinesis ✧HOW + WHEN DOES HE (LOVE INTEREST) FIND OUT THAT SHE'S A MERMAID? — They are together for a while and Zico asks her again and again why she's even doing this. He demands an explanation and they have a huge fight. Ryeonhee thinks that trust is important in a relationship and that her secret is in the way of Zico trusting her. She feels that Zico wouldn't hate or judge her, after all, he already had helped her with robbing the marine team. She didn't even tell her best friends about her secret but when Zico kisses her and tells her to be honest with him, her usual secretiveness melts down. She arranges a date on the shore and they are very lovey-dovey until she takes his hand and runs with him into the water. There she transforms. ✧HOW DOES HE REACT? — He is shocked and disgusted. Zico doesn't believe in fantasy and for him being a mermaid equals to being no real person, no human. He can't but view her as some kind of wrong experiment and he shudders when he thinks back at the times they spend together. It feels wrong for him, how could he just kiss and love something like this? He couldn't think that anyone could be attracted to fish scales since this would be just inhuman. He avoids her and tries not to talk to her ever again. ✧WHAT IS THE OUTCOME BETWEEN THE TWO? — They were together but after her revelation they split up and he avoids her. He didn't tell anyone about the secret but he completely refuses to talk with her ever again and he can't view her as human anymore. Ryeonhee is heartbroken and devastated. - Sad End |

FORGIVE MY FINS ✧ANYTHING ELSE? — I LOVE the idea. I haven't seen H20 (I barely watch TV) but my best friend is a major fan of the series. And the Ruby plotline is awesome, I immediately knew that I had to write an application for that.
✧SCENE REQUEST — + Ryeonhee and Zico almost get caught while they are breaking into an research labour + Some of the girls dislike the fact that Ryeonhee is doing illegal things like that and think that this would put them all only in greater danger. A fight escalates. + Hyunsoo and Zico have a fight and Hyunsoo tells her to stay away from him + Ryeonhee uses her Hydro-Thermokinesis to boil water when she makes spaghetti (I know it's random but I would really like to read a scene where she uses her power) ✧PASSWORD — Mm hmm |
