Gad. I want more quality Tabisan fics soooooooo, I am offering this exclusively to Tabisan authors. I am willing to proofread your work: that means I will give you my e-mail, I will work on any grammatical errors sending you an edited work with comment on how you can work out the plot and where you can improve in its delivery. I am not saying that I am perfect when it comes to plotlines and grammar but I do have some good insights on both topics. Of course having a beta reader has its drawbacks because you will have someone who would most definitely hindering your update schedule. Buuuuuttt hopefully it will result to a better finished product.

So if you are interested you can tell me here or leave me a PM, depending on what you want. I will give you my personal e-mail where you can send me your draft. I will edit it on my own time, give me about a week to work on your story (single chapter or multiple, your discretion).

Now for the drawbacks of having a beta (aside from the one stated above):

1. As a reiteration, I will impede your update schedule. I do have a hectic personal life and my own stories so I can take it as my first priority but you will hear from me.

2. I will, up front but cordially as possible, reject stories that I think are not good. I do work with cliches, and the like but there are somethings I don't like.... I can't think of any right now. Gad. I'm sleepy, sorry.

3. I will not write for you (that's called co-authoring not beta-ing). Because I'm busy. I will try to guide you through the process though. That includes commentaries on the flow of the story. If the grammar of your story is really off mark and will force me to re-write a third of your story I might send it back half finished and just mark it with the commentary "needs more work: grammar, verb agreement". Capitalization of the first letter of the sentence is a must!

4. You have to be prepared for criticism, if you're not serious about your work then don't send it my way. I will work on your story on my time which is important to me. I will offer you constructive criticism and most of the time it will hurt your ego, so you have to stiffen up your upper lip up little soldier. This is the reality of writing.

I am not a grammar nazi and I now I need a lot of work on my own stories buttttttt I still do think that writing, publishing yourself in any form (free or otherwise) is letting yourself be heard and you should represent yourself in the best light possible. No you are not perfect neither am I, but we should always strive to be better, neh? Isn't that what our idols are doing, what they are representing? Hardwork, perseverence and the wish for better things? Yes to good writing?

I know I might not have anyone take up this offer but just so it's on the table, I only take on Tabisan fics because it's the only story I am interested in (except for Daragon but there's multitudes of writers for that one so no.... they can help each other....), do hesitate if you're thinking about asking me for doing beta work (it is work kiddies). A healthy dose of hesitation will aid your decision, hopefully. After hesitating, go for it and ask. I don't bite. I might drive you up the wall and make you go crazy but hey! That's what editors are for... LOL.
