Description: despite her face, yoojin is a very hard and fierce woman with piercing black eyes. she never dyes her hair or does anything unnatural to her hair. she has seven ear piercings -- regular lobe piercings, a conch and rook in her left ear, and an industrial and regular cartilage piercing in her right ear. yoojin also has several tattoos: black roses on her right side, a fleur-de-lis in between her shoulder blades, the dark mark on her left forearm, and the word "live" on her left wrist.

Personality: in a nutshell, yoojin is cold, sadistic, angry, intimidating, emotionless, temperamental, cynical, rebellious, and violent. however, because of her icy exterior, many people forget about her positive traits: loyalty, determination, intelligence, reliability, leadership, and artistic ability.

cold -- yoojin is the "ice queen". she doesn't care about manners and etiquette means as much to her as people do. usually quiet and icy, yoojin portrays a very mysterious aura. it's been rumored that if you walk near her, you can feel the temperature drop a couple of degrees.

intimidating -- yoojin is one of the most unapproachable people in the world. her piercing glare, brutal words, and bomb-like temper causes many people to try their best to avoid her. 

sadistic -- yoojin is one manipulative and sadistic . she loves watching people suffer, especially at her hands, which can sound pretty harsh. yoojin has so much anger in her that its impossible for her to bottle it all in herself.

History: born to a middle-class couple in seoul, yoojin, from a young age, was called the result of a "cursed womb". her mother was korean and her father chinese -- the couple were both engineers. when yoojin was two years old, the yang family moved to london, england, where professor yang became a math instructor at the university college london. the three-member family lived in a comfortable house in the suburbs of london. yoojin was raised in a very strict household, but her mother began noticing a strange behavior in her daughter. unlike the other kids, yoojin didn't like to play with the neighborhood kids or anyone, for that matter. she liked to keep to herself with her coloring book. mrs. yang became more disturbed by her troubled daughter when she saw yoojin's room cluttered with severed barbie heads on the floor. when mrs. yang confronted yoojin about it, she just shrugged and said that she didn't like them. after the barbie incident, mrs. yang kept a closer watch on yoojin. 

at the age of thirteen, yoojin began to attend wycombe abbey where she constantly got into trouble for vandalism, hooky, and fighting. she probably was in the headmistress's office more than her own dorm. after two years, after beating a girl so bad that she lapsed into a coma for a week, yoojin was charged with aggravated assault, sentenced to two months in juvenile detention, two hundred community service hours, and weekly visits with a therapist. she was expelled from wycombe abbey and every other boarding school in london.

yoojin's parents, desparate to save their daughter, decided to move to seoul to help her reconnect with her roots. they enrolled her into a top high school in seoul, but it became the same as wycombe abbey, except worse. yoojin, who was sixteen, started drinking, smoking, and fighting even more. she became the leader of a gang called the queen of hearts. she sold drugs and alcohol, got into constant fights, and spent most of her days drunk or high. her parents, by that time, had pretty much given up on their child. they no longer referred to her as "yoojin", but as "the devil's daughter" and even a "monster". 

surprisingly, yoojin graduated from high school in the top 50 of her class despite the fact that she never did her homework or showed up to class. her parents hoped that yoojin would attend seoul national university (where she had been miraculously accepted) and she did, just to appease her parents. college was probably the best year of her life -- endless parties, drinking, and smoking. 

the old gang that she had in high school was revived, and soon, the quartet found themselves a rival, teen top. they constantly fought territory wars. one cold winter night when yoojin was nineteen, she died alone of the ground, bleeding to death from a stab wound. her members had all fled the second that l.joe had stabbed her in the heart. 

her funeral was simple with only three people in attendance. her relieved parents and the minister. though they loved yoojin, they knew that she didn't belong on the earth. yoojin's body was cremated and her ashes were scattered over the han river, her favorite place in seoul.

Personality: the entire opposite of yoojin, luhan is kind-hearted, patient, and pure. his angelic looks matches his innocent personality, but like yoojin, he can be a total hardass sometimes. in a nutshell, luhan's positive traits are his patience, kindness, loyalty, friendliness, and determination; however, he can be a bit picky, unapproachable, harsh, clueless, and socially awkward.

patience -- luhan is known for being patient. he takes his time with things and never complains when he has to wait. he understands that the rewards of life come only from waiting.

History: born of chinese parents in korea, luhan was raised in a very loving family. he was an only child but the three of them formed a very close-knit family. luhan's mother was a housewife and his father was a doctor, so though they weren't filthy rich, they lived more than just comfortably. growing up, luhan had many friends. people loved him. he was kind, positive, bright, and had a maturity to him that most other kids didn't have. everyone naturally gravitated towards him.

in high school, luhan was one of the populars. he was smart, athletic, and quite good-looking, making him one of the most sought after boys in the school. during his time in high school, luhan's perfect little life began to fall apart. his mother was diagnosed with cancer when he was fourteen and passed away two years later despite the top medical treatments. to make up for the loss of his wife, luhan's father remarried a kind, quiet woman, who luhan learned to love as his stepmother. through his father's second marriage, luhan gained a stepbrother -- kim myungsoo. myungsoo didn't like luhan. who was he to destroy the perfect family he had had with his mother? also, his mother seemed to love luhan more than her own biological child. 

myungsoo hated his older stepbrother and began to bully him. luhan never struck back, but merely smiled at him. he was so patient with him that even myungsoo was amazed. soon, he began to realize the extent of luhan's charms, and like most other people, became very intrigued by him. though luhan and myungsoo didn't get along all the time, the two stepbrothers became civil and eventually, became each other's best friends.

during luhan's first year in college, myungsoo frequently visited, much to luhan's delight. however, one of these visits went terribly wrong. as the two brothers went to play soccer together, myungsoo tried to play around and started lightly throwing the ball at luhan to annoy him. being the patient person that he is, luhan laughed and continued to humor his little brother. as myungsoo lightly kicked the ball, it landed in the middle of the street and without looking for cars, ran to get it. at the same time, a small red van was racing down the road and luhan saw it. he tried to warn myungsoo, but he was too caught up in trying to get the soccer ball back that he couldn't hear. luhan, who only thought about saving his brother, shoved myungsoo out of the way but was hit by the car instead. luhan suffered a fractured spine, fractured neck, broken leg, and dozens of cuts and bruises. he died instantly from severe head trauma.

myungsoo never forgave himself for his brother's death. at the funeral, myungsoo buried the soccer ball that had led to luhan's demise in his coffin. many people atended the funeral, even some that didn't know luhan very well. everyone said that he would become an angel of patience for his strong mind and kind heart.

How you met: luhan and yoojin are both the captains of the soccer teams. under yoojin's fierce and wrathful leadership, the members of the team are disciplined, motivated, and very good at using dirty tactics to beat another team. on the other hand, luhan's team is also very strong and talented, but they are all very honest players who are also close to their captain and each other. during the yearly scrimmage between the girls and boys soccer team, yoojin's team led the game through their use of hidden violence and dirty tricks. luhan, seeing this, became annoyed that yoojin didn't want to win in an honest way since she always "valued" honesty. after the girls creamed the boys soccer team, luhan tried to talk to yoojin, but he walked away with a red cheek and a sore arm. 
How you guys act around each other: luhan and yoojin don't get along but they also don't really interact with each other too much. though they are the captain of the soccer team and also are five classes together, the two of them avoid each other. luhan finds yoojin very intriguing but also thinks that her violence is unnecessary and very unattractive. yoojin finds luhan annoying, girly, and fake. the two are always butting heads when they do interact and luhan's endless patience pisses her off even more. luhan is determined to "tame" the monster, but yoojin usually overcomes him (with the use of violence). however, luhan's endless attempts to befriend her has made him a signficant person in yoojin's life as most people give up within the first couple of days. 

the two are not friends, but they are not strangers. they don't greet each other in the hallways and when they do talk to each other, yoojin always ends up frustrated at luhan's supposed patience. she finds him fake and thinks that all of the angel that's related to him is a complete veneer covering what he truly is. however, she is a bit touched (though she'll never admit it) that someone (especially a guy) was willing to try so hard to get her to open up since most people give up after a few attempts.
